Bridge CS5 applies wrong white balance during extraction of thumbnails (only for raw files)

Hello to all the assistants of Adobe,

Photographer welder here. I use a Canon T2i and I've been shooting raw with automatic white balance.

After I downloaded the CR2 files to the bridge, bridge starts thumbnail extraction. It is then that the problem begins: I watch bridge thumbnail extraction photo after photo, turning them into white balance bad one by one. After the bridge is done, I open one of these photos in Camera Raw, it shows the picture in the "custom white balance". I could go back to "As Shot". But now, each Bridge photo has custom white balance and is difficult to bridge. This screenshot shows what looks like my bridge after thumbnail extraction...Screen shot 2011-04-22 at 12.25.07 PM.png

Yesterday, just out of curiosity, I took a few photos with the settings of the different on the camera white balance. I downloaded their bridge and bridge too wrote all the white balance settings. Then I imported the same pictures (from the same files) to iPhoto, they appear with writing correct balance. Please see the second screenshot.Screen shot 2011-04-22 at 12.05.38 PM.png

The third screenshot shows a unique photo that I opened the bridge to Camera Raw and the same photo, as it appears in iPhoto, the original two.

Again, this only happens to CR2 files. All TIF, jpeg files are fine.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Any ideas?

First of all, taken of view Raw has the advantage of the evolution of the color temperature (balance of Pentecost) to what ever you like everything you shot in camera.

It seems once you have registered a custom default setting white balance and it is applied to each new file because you said bridge to do. The best way out of this is to open a raw file in ACR and the basic right tab you see a small icon (next to the base word) submenu. Click on it and the line select "Reset Camera Raw defaults" downstairs.

Also decide if you want to stay in 16-bit mode (you're now as shown in the blue line under the preview). If you want the chance it to 8 bits, just click on this blue line and choose your options in this menu. Just do it once for that same camera files, ACR remembers the settings for you.

Using 16-bit mode has advantages when the color corrections using critical (but you should also replace the ProPhoto color mode in my opinion). The downside is that the 16 bit doubles compared to 8-bit file size

Having put default ACR should immediately make your thumbs by building of new inches and previews, but if not, you must choose purge the cache for the file from the menu Tools / cache / purge the cache for the file. Now the new settings will apply.

It may take a while so let bridge do its job properly before starting other jobs in bridge (see the activity bar downstairs left to check if the bridge is still cached).

I have Adobe CS5.1 and must be able to open the Nikon NEF RAW files from my Nikon D4s... y at - there a downoad on the Adobe site for it or how can I get the update to do?

    Hi XDCAMAN,

Photoshop requires at least version 8.4 of camera raw to be able to directly open these Nikon NEF D4S files which is available in Photoshop CS6 and above versions (not in CS5)

Reference article: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

You can upgrade to a higher version of Photoshop or download Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG and access these DNG files in Photoshop CS5.

    Kind regards

    Claes

Need of this camera camera raw 8.2 or later. Cannot use this CS5 version. You will need to download the 9.1 free dng converter and convert your images to DNG version CS5 can handle.

  • Filter in adobe bridge to select only the Raw files to DNG format convert

Here's my problem - I have a new camera DMC TZ70 and 5.7 Lightroom does not recognize the. RW2 files. I would need to buy LR6! Maybe later.

So I thought that I import via the bridge and convert to DNG.

So I open the bridge, and then select the camera - great - BUT there are files for Raw, the same number of JPEG files images and some .bdm. TDT etc files. (for example 3 raw + 7 others).

I can set up a filter to Show only Raw files when I see what files are in the folder of the card at the Bridge, but when I select "get photos from camera" I can either select all OR deselect and then I need to MANUALLY select raw files. There seems not to be a way to set up a filter in the form of Downloader so that bridge selects only the Raw files for conversion.

If I left it all, Bridge Converts the RW2 in DNG files, but also provides in the JPGs and other files. I can delete these later, but this seems an inefficient way to do it.

Is it possible to manually select raw files in the form of Photo Downloader?

    Advice please, thank you, Mel

I guess the answer's bridge doesn't do what I want, but not Lightroom - bought LR6

  • I installed Photoshop CS5 on a new laptop, but it doesn't recognize my RAW files.  In addition, repeated attempts to make available updates failed.  The laptop has 8.1 Windows 64-bit.

I installed Photoshop CS5 on a new laptop, but it doesn't recognize my RAW files.  In addition, repeated attempts to make available updates failed.  The laptop has 8.1 Windows 64-bit.

You can manually download and install updates:

Adobe - Photoshop: For Windows: Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 updated for Adobe Photoshop CS5

Adobe - Photoshop: for Windows: Camera Raw 6.7 update

There is something to do with the help of CS5 > update function, but as far as I know it does work as expected more.

  • I have to do something wrong because none of Adobe software can open my RAW files.

None of the adobe software recognizes my D7100 Nikon RAW files. I had no problem at the opening of the raw files of my D5000.   I even tried to convert them to DNG, but that no longer works. I used Lightroom, Photoshop, bridge, 13 Photoshop elements, Photoshop 8.  I could not see my Raw files in windows, until I downloaded the codec NEC... and, of course, I can see them in the Nikon software.  I have 8 folders of photos taken with the new camera.  In the last folder, I can see and work with my RAW files in a single folder, there is a RAW file, I can work with that.  All the rest are empty and will not open.  In a single folder, Lightroom will not even appear JPEG files. I shoot in RAW + FINE (JPEG). I downloaded all the files in the same way.  I'll try to download again, but not all of them are still on the card.  I even tried to convert them to DNG, but if they cannot be considered as RAW, they convert to DNG. The D7100 has been out for a while, so I can't believe that Adobe would not work for her.

You've probably used old Nikon software to transfer or view the naves and the Nikon software will corrupt files, making them unrecognizable software Adobe.

The solution, in the future, is to avoid touching the naves with Nikon software and use either utilities or Lightroom, himself, to view and move the files to the memory card in the computer.

For existing images, you can reverse the corruption with a utility on this page:

  • during extraction of tasks / events for warehouses of data with powershell

Hi, I'm looking for the extraction of tasks using powershell events (the same information you will find in using customer vi, inventory home, tabs for data warehouses, tasks, and events) to find the task of 'delete' (for example)

I would like to use the Get-Vievent command, but I'm unable to use the - entity. Get-datastorename data store

I think that using the data store object is not possible for the get-vievent command.

    So I use:

    Get-Vievent - MaxSamples 100000 | WHERE-object {$_.} FullFormattedmessage-match 'delete'} | Select Createduserid, username, FullFormattedmessage | Export-csv "c:\export_ds.csv" - noTypeInformation - UseCulture

It works but it is very slow (my environment is very large)... and I've reached the limit - maxsamples.

Is there another way? or I have to use - start - stop to limit the number of events, and to several reports by month?

    Thank you very much

    Thierry

The current version is not it, but it's a good idea.

    I'll update the function.

  • Canon 5 d Mark ii Images with the value of the white balance fixed. When they are imported into Lightroom, the value is different.

If I take a shot with the fixed value of 5200K WB (5 d Mark ii) and import into LR 2015.2.1, happens to 4850K. No presets or applied adjustments.

No idea why? How can I solve this problem?

    Rich

All raw converters use four multipliers of white balance RGGB tinted and embedded in the raw file EXIF data to set the white balance and 'calculate' the temperature values displayed inside the module development LR WB.

Scroll down to the "White Balance" section of the DCRAW tutorial PDF here: GUILLERMO LUIJK > TUTORIALS > DCRAW TUTORIAL it's all so raw converters all the rest of the white raw file and 'calculate' the temperature and tint values.

Here is a Canon 5 d MKII CR2 file with the White Balance adjustment 'in the know' behind closed doors:

    (Data EXIF Maker Notes)

The setting "As Shot" WB in LR shows a Temp of 4800 reading, which should produce a slight visual difference that the planned in-camera closed 5134 parameter, correct?

However, with the LR settings file, "As Shot" above the white balance CR2 is the JPEG file in camera perfectly on my Canon 5 d MKII (raw + JPEG file format). It's just that Temp readings do not, because they are "calculated" four RGGB multipliers. Each raw (LR, opening, C1) converter will probably show the values of temperature and tint different, since they are derived by using "reverse engineering" of the manufacturer of exclusive camera raw data structure and camera sensor response file.

Keep in mind that the spectral response of the camera is affected by changes in batch. A Canon 5 d MKII body can produce slightly different WB as one another using the same exact settings. Rather than depend on private clos or LR presets use a good white balance card or the ColorChecker Passport to 'calibrate' LR white balance settings standard shooting conditions (daylight, cloudy, Flash, etc.). For critical projects draw card of the white balance at least once for each unique lighting condition. You can then determine the correct inside the LR setting and settings of synchronization of the World Bank through all the images taken with this specific lighting.

  • Balance of whites DO NOT synchronize in Bridge CS5

Instead of LR3 I use Bridge CS5 and the tool in camera raw to my changes (it of all the same tools and runs faster). Anyway, a strange problem I noticed recently, after SEVERAL changes of employment... I noticed that the white balance was not the same on all my files. IT IS A HUGE * PROBLEM FOR ME! I tried everything, but for some reason any bridge is synchronize only not the white balance, even though I just had selected white balance... I need to have all my files the same... I do NOT work in the camera raw module and it does NOT work when you right-click, go to settings, copy the settings and then paste settings...

    Anyone else experienced this?

    I have ACR installed 6.1

Is the WB As Shot, perhaps?  Synchronizing As Shot as your impeccable WB, sets the WB to whatever the camera was put in, which if it is Auto WB in the camera, then the values Temp/tint will be different for each photo.  If you want that all the parameters of the WB for Temp/tint values you need to change the Custom WB or use one of the selections included having a constant Temp/tint numbers set WB.

What I usually do, is change the WB shot as something slightly different by changing the value of shade and then set the color back to what it was if necessary, which will make it say custom instead of ACE Shot and then synchronize with this Custom value.

  • Can anyone recommend an app for white balance?

I would like white balance to the photos of items for my online store. Can anyone recommend an app that can make white balance?

On Photos white balance is not sufficient to your needs?

You can set it to balance the color using neutral gray as a sample or a skin tone.

  • lightroom cc white balance options missing

    Hello

Lightroom cc (2015.4) on my Mac pro - develop module, white balance - retina it is now missing the cloudy, tungsten, etc (which I got recently) and options only concerts - shooting, auto, custom. Same is true in the library module, quickly develop

    Everyone has noticed this?

Any suggestions to get it back?

    Thank you

    Chris

As a result, automatic and custom are the only option, you get if you shoot JPG.  Other options are available for RAW files.

  • RE: White Balance and color temperature

Can we do the same kind of white balance, as we have in Photoshop Camera Raw, in Premiere pro?

Also, we can change the color temperature in Premiere Pro?

    Thank you.

Very few cameras RAW video format out of the box –, RED, Arri, BlackMagic.  There are no DSLR that can do it for the video, even if they probably all do for still images.

That said, I understand that some Canon models can be made to the RAW video format with magic lantern was last updated, but I don't know how well these files would work in PP, as Adobe has no support for them.

  • Bridge CS5 will transfer to Lightroom 3?

I am currently using Bridge CS5 and I was wondering if I used Lightroom 3 that all my information (rankings, collections, etc.) would easily transfer.  I understand bridge is "on the road to disappearance" in the future and fear that my current organization such as mentioned tools will be lost.

I heard no "Bridge is on its way"... but all your metadata (ratings, keywords, etc.) must be kept as long as you are save metadata to your files and using the files sidecar for raw files (if any). I don't know how the Collections are handled between the two applications. Probably a better question for the bridge forum:

You can't get this info in a Board-contact, nor is it easy to get other then look at the setting of the device you used to shoot files. Maybe it's somewhere hidden deep in the exif data, but I can't find it with the exact number.

Shooting Raw these WB figures do not apply because you can adjust the color temperature and tint to what you want. Taken jpeg, your options are limited due to the fact that the raw data is already processed and the evolution of the effects of temperature and color of the entire image.

Try to shoot a Raw and jpeg together from the same scene. The one with the light of day and the other with artificial light conditions. (personally, I put my WB set closed at 5,500 but with the auto settings, you can also see the difference) Try to fix the jpeg and Raw file in ACR and see what I mean.

And to be honest, if your instructor at the College would like to have what he should tell you also why he wants to and how you can put it back...

  • Remove the cast/blue tint of JPG (setting the wrong while taking picture white balance)

    Hello

Photosohop newb here with still CS3 (10.0), so please be patient.

I was at a convention, there is not so long ago, I took a lot of pictures with my phone. I have noticed that in the House, that some of the photos came out with an intense blue cast because of a bad white balance setting (I must have accidentally changed).

I tried to fix the image for the last 2 hours, without real success. I tried everything under Image-> settings-> "Auto color", "Levels of colors" and "Match Color", moving the sliders up and down to get the best match. The best I could come up with was still far from the other photos that I took the same day.

This is one of the bad pictures: http://imgur.com/vw12aTQ

And here is one I took a few minutes later with the 'normal' setting: http://imgur.com/RMFm7fo

In fact, I had a pretty good game by cutting stones on the two photos and using "matches the color'-> 'Source', but I couldn't apply this technique to the overview.

Could someone please help me to make the colors of the first image similar to the second?

    Thank you

    Roland

    Here is an easy solution...

Choose the Image - adjust - curves, and then right-click the gray Point eyedropper and sample something in the picture that should be a neutral gray - say one of the rocks on the ground.  Click on in various places, until you like what you see.
