• Lightroom: Time to Capture for videos imported from iphoto does not appear in the metadata

  Hi, I imported all my photos and videos from iphoto to Lightroom recently with iphoto import plugin.  I think that all my photos have been imported, but I noticed that all my videos have no capture time, while they became grouped in my collections.  But I think that I can still see their capture time in the 'gray' text on each photo.  Why did this happen and how to solve this problem?  I really want my time to capture in video metadata, and I also want to see my videos in chronological order on the right with my videos.   Strangely, the videos imported into Lightroom directly from my camera SD card do not have this problem, don't do that those imported from iphoto.  Thank you!

  LR does not correctly manage video metadata in general, and in particular, he often misses capture time.  Sometimes it works: choose a video, make metadata > edit Capture time and then click all change (without actually modifying the corrected time).  If that sets the time of capture at the right time, you can select all the videos of problem, metadata > edit Capture time, and then click all change.   If you have a small number of videos, you can manually fix the capture time to help change the Capture time.

  Hi, I have Windows 7 64 bit and WMP version 12.0.7600.16667

  I have several .mp4 video files in the folder my videos that do not appear in the video library (other type .avi files). I want to listen to these files on my Sony Playstation so I did already a lot of googling but could not find a solution. From what I checked on my system, I already have a codec and if I click on a such file in play in WMP.

  I don't know if it has changed since Vista but Mp4 video was not a video file type recognized, so a registry change has been necessary to make it usable as MS file formats AVI or WMV etc... MS has (yet?) Default identified it as an audio file format. MP4 is in fact also a video container type of file, such as AVI. You need a separator of suitable as well as audio and video CODECs on the system file.

  When you install a new version of the items, you are prompted to update the current catalog. Creating a new catalog with the data in the old. • Broken Lightroom import

  Lightroom on windows 8.1 on a processor Intel NUC 5.7.1.

  I used Lightroom 3 years and never had problems. All of a sudden, I can't import all of the images.

  2. click on import, wait and wait and after exactly 1 minute, the import dialog box appears with a spinning wait cursor.

  It's like that. I can't import, none of the controls is sensitive and I can not yet close the import dialog box. When I kill Lightroom using the Task Manager it leaves the locked catalog and I need to reboot the machine.

  1. If I unplug the USB of Logitech Unifying receiver, it kind of gets and I can use it somehow, but it is very slow. Obviously I can't use it without a keyboard and a mouse, so leave unplugged is not a solution.

  2. the only other usb device is a tv, but unlugging tuner, which makes no difference, and it used to work with the tv plugged in all cases.

  3. to start LR, if I try to do something, whereas the Crystal splash screen appears, I SOMETIMES get a message saying "waiting for the server to respond" or similar. If I click try again, and then it starts normally. Start is displayed for about 30 seconds, which seems as long as I remember it being.

  This is really a problem for me and I'd appreciate any help. I'm using Capture One, but LR is still my favorite library, if it is possible to work again.

  The problem has proved to be a micro sd converter standard sd card, I left on a USB. I had forgotten about it and would have assumed it was a 'passive' device anyway, but removing it solved the problem.

  You certainly should not use the importer of the video to get the WAV file - assuming that it is not coming from an external device, such as a camcorder or a smartphone or iPad or another similar term.

  But if you have problems, try just open Windows Explorer (or Finder on Mac), locate the file and then just by dragging from Windows Explorer WAV file in your media Panel. It should fall right into.

  I try inserting a few titles in my video.

  I chose the title of base with an opacity of 100%, but its showing is not in the video.

• Changes of Visual elongation after publish for only video imported and no titles... Help?

  I have a video camera that captures 1280 x 720 at 30 FPS with a field of view of 170degrees and 12 mega pixels. I am getting video into Movie Maker and add titles and the film looks great. When I go to publish, it comes out as the big screen for the titles and the display of the basic box for the movie which was on the big screen. I tried to adjust 16:9 (even if it isn't) and tried different settings to HD 1280 x 720. How can I fix it?

  I thought that Lightroom and Photoshop CC have been updated to include the new g3x of Canon.  I am trying to import JPEG, RAW pictures and a few videos my card SD and Lightroom presents in preview everything very well (see the screenshot of the first), but why I click import it crosses and pops up a window that says it can't read the files (second screenshot).  I tried to import via simple COPY and DNG, and no work.  I also turned my computer market.  How can I get my files in Lightroom?  There is no place I can find to manually add the g3x cannon to a list of cameras that Lightroom reads...

  A few choices of method, depends on exactly how we want him for the words/letters see.

  Here is an example of a possibility, with step by step with Photoshop.

  The Setup is that we want a title, with three lines of text, one line after another, leaving the previous on-screen text.

  1. In Photoshop, make the new Image to the file in the toolbar.
  2. One of the video presets, choose from the drop-down list, say HD 1920 x 1080 w / Guides.
  3. Before you click OK, verify the background is set to Transparent.
  4. Use the text tool to create your three short lines of text, color and with the police, you want. Each use of the text tool will create a new text layer.
  5. Use the alignment and Distribution in PS tools to get the arrangement, the three layers of text, you need/want.
  6. Save_As PSD, keep these three layers of text on backgroundTransparent.
  7. In PrPro w / 1920 x 1080 HD sequence (note: match the new Image preset to match any existing sequence - the 1920 x 1080 is just one example.)
  8. Import the PSD as a sequence, so as to NOT flatten layers.
  9. This will bring the new title sequence in the project Panel, and then you can open it to reveal the layers in the PSD.
  10. Drag them to the video tracks (above any video, or VT 1 up to 3 VT) and change their life to what you need.
  11. You can compensate for them, for the moment, or can adjust that, with keyframes. I like compensation, just so that I have a visual reference.
  12. Now, it's decision time. For example, I decided I want the three lines of text to fade in the place that I've created. I'm going to Keyframe the fixed effect > opacity to achieve this. I like doing that in the effects, with the individual text layer selected Clip Panel. (Note: you can use many effects, depending on what you want and also combinations of effects, all two fixed and applied - your imagination is the only limit.)
  13. All three layers of text have opacity to 100%, and this is where we want them to end up, but we start our first layer to 0% opacity. Before you do this, decide where in time, you want it to reach 100%. A keyframe of opacity, set of animation switched TO opacity. We now have the opacity to 100% from this point to the last frame of the Clip text layer.
  14. Go to the first image and add a keyframe of the opacity. That set at 0%. We now have a linear gradient, FRO 0 to 100%.
  15. You can change the linear nature, with curves of Bézier applied to keyframes. For all these permutations, I highly recommend the help file. For now, we will leave things linear, with a constant speed.
  16. If shift you the text layer Clips, you will do exactly the same thing. If not, then you just want to add a keyframe 100% more far along in time and place to go to the first image, go where you want opacity to start to go from 0% to 100% and place a keyframe, set to 0% opacity. What you have done is set the initial opacity to 0% for the time until the first keyframe, and opacity changes until it reaches 100% keyframe.
  17. Repeat for the third Clip of text layer.

  Good luck and hope that helps. Don't forget, many effects can be alterations to change over time. We could have done similar with the added effect > Gaussian blur.

  I am owner of a all-new Adobe Premiere Elements. However, I am a big fan of Adobe products, and I'm an experienced Photoshop user.
  
  What I do is very simple:
  
  (1) divided about videos of 30 minutes in 2 or 3 pieces (10 to 15 minutes in length, according to the website on which I am downloading this)
  
  (2) add the credits and the title of simple text
  
  That's for now. I ordered a copy of "first Adobe Elements 8: missing manual" to learn how to use this software, but here, could someone please direct me on how to do these simple tasks? I could do them in Windows Movie Maker, but using this software has been painful, so I tried to get a decent Editor.

  Welcome to the forum.

  Unfortunately, you have posted on the forum tips & tricks. It is a repository for articles on how to do things in the pre and does not see nearly the traffic as the main forum. If all goes well, our MOD, Steve Grisetti, spend cela main forum.

  Now, you have a few choices on how to bes to do what you want.

  The first is to use only "instances" of your main Clip. Let's call it the Clip of 'master', but that term has other meanings in other editing software. Double click on it, and it will open it in the Source monitor (which looks a bit like the monitor program, but with options). Move the CTI (current time marker) to where you want your new instance to start. You can use the playback controls, or click-and - drag on ICT. You can re - move forward or backward through the cursor keys arrow to get to the exact image you want to start. The value your Point in this context (digression on the Source monitor Panel) and then go to where you want the instance at the end set end point (face to face of flange). Now, simply drag the Source monitor to the timeline, and you will have an instance of the main element of the exact duration and with all appropriate In and Out Points. This you can export/Share. You have not changed your main element somehow. You can repeat this process again and again, if you wanted to join several segments of the main item.

  Second way would be to drag the master Clip in the project in the timeline panel. Using ICT, go where you want to cut and press Ctrl + K to cut the video and Audio. Now at the end of the matter that you want to remove and repeat. Select the material to be removed, Rt-click and choose delete and close space. Repeat, that this is necessary. Export/action, when finished.
