  I use an IEEE 1394 camera and I want to know how to be able to access the maximum transfer speed. Currently in the measurement and automation program I get access only to 100 Mbps, even though I know that the camera can do 800 Mbps. The initial pilot that I installed with the software was not compatible with Labview and so I had to downgrade the software a bit to be able to control the camera using Labview.

  Is there a difficulty in Labview or if they solved this problem in future versions of the software IMAQdx? I am running IMAQdx version 3.7.

  Are you by chance using XP (SP2 or SP3) or Vista?  If so, Microsoft has messed up their 1394b driver who fell from S800 to S100 speed, if the options are:

  upgrading to Win7

  downgrading the driver to the SP1 version

  use a driver of substitution that replaces the Microsoft driver (if your camera brand has access to a)

  Hello world. I hope someone can help me please. I have two computers windows xp professional 32-bit and the other is windows 7, both were working fine until yesterday. My problem is that I can edit software.and they both were captuering fine.and computers just stopped at the captureing even time. It really seems I spend most my time troubleshooting. I just want to enjoy what i ' am doing instead of hating what I like to do. I firewire1394 0n computers. Also, I plug this into a canopus converter box. And he remains in analog mode instead of going digital in. I also have the red yellow white wires that go to the converter for the camera.and of course the small hooks to the converter firewire and 6-pin computer.everything was basically works fine and when windows computer with xp does what I then spent to the windows computer 7 and it's the same thing. I ALSO have the regserve and driver boost software I ran two of them and retried. Please someone that skills tech really good please help. And also is their some software I can get that will keep this where I can capture. Also, I forgot to mention the digital video camera that I use are twice are is oone of mini dv jvc model GR-D71U and the other is GR-DVL815U. If I had the money I would not pay mine. But we have very rough now my wife has lost his job 18 months ago and I am disabled. Please ANY HELP WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED. • P30: External hard drive is not detected when you use IEEE 1394 cable

  My P30 not / can not detect my newly acquired Western informed extreme Digitak Drive 320 when I connect via the firewire port. I use a 4-pin cable (which costs a fortune, by the way) who is supposed to be a way to connect this drive to a 6-pin pc.

  My ieee 1394 driver seems to be called 'VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 host controller".

  Can someone tell me what to do? I really need to connect the FireWire drive because I need the USBs for other devices.

  It is really strange. I use the external DVD drive (DL) using the same cable. I tested it with several units (old Satellite 1900, Tecra M1 and also new Qosmio G20) and everything works perfectly.

  Check the power supply to the external HARD drive.

  I can't try to figure out how to get the open dialog box when you import an image on the stage. I watched tutorials to my class at school, and the host of the video says he should still come.   I found my own answer. Incorrect file type. I thought that my images were saved as .ai not .png

  Apart from the graph, SM Bus controller and PCI Simple communication controller are always in yellow! mark.  Please help with drivers.

  Driver Chipset.

  Restart the computer after installation.

  AMD Graphics Driver.

  Restart the computer after installation.

  Card reader driver.

  If you still have unknown devices listed in Device Manager, right-click on the device problem and select Properties.  Click on the Details tab, choose hardware ID in the drop-down list and post back with the details presented in the title of the value.

  I tested it with Qosmio G20 and my Sony camcorder using the same port.
  I tested it with Windows movie maker, WinDVD Creator, Adobe Premiere and Ulead Media studio Pro 8.

  You may believe, but each application was able to see my cam and I copied movies on the HARD drive, edited and created DVDs. I don't really know what is happening in your case, but when you connect your switch cam on game mode, and the cam must be recognized as new hardware and listed in Device Manager.

  When it works well to start the applications and check again.

  If you want to edit in Premiere Elements, I would recommend capture with DV Win, no MovieMaker. MovieMaker grabs his video to a different file format.

  Do you mean during the import process?

  There is no FCP X parameter to change the way THAT DV is imported.

  I used to hear the audio import with Sony cameras but Canon may be a different story.

  If the imported files are OK, then it can be a thing of Protocol firewire Canon.
