Brother HL6050DN stoped working with 10.11.3

'twas works well before.

Network connected

Continues to work well with other Mac/PC

the idea of 'Reset printer' tried to linc.  No joy

re-installed driver. no joy.

I see him that brother lists only the drivers in Yosemite.  Have e-mail for them.

Yet, he has worked on 10.11.2 on two machines.

G

Commenting on my own question - I 'work', but its really not an ideal answer.  The brother really has to fix this.

1. I downloaded the new drivers (yosemite). no joy

2. I used Hello and the brother driver. No joy.

3. I have used Hello and the driver of CUPS.  No joy.

4. I used IP Printing Protocol, fixed set IP address and the Brother driver.    --> JOY<>

So it may be obliged to communicate and when done, prints fine.  But it's not hwo its supposed to work, or how it worked before the upgrade to X.11.3.

Whenever you switch to a new version of Windows, you must install
drivers for printers, scanners, video cards, etc., that have been
written for this new version of Windows. And also note that you need
different determinants for a 32-bit version of Windows and a 64-bit
    Version.

It is the manufacturer of the hardware to write and
available to download these drivers. Especially if your hardware is
older, it is quite possible that the manufacturer has decided that it is not
a value of his time and effort to develop drivers for the hardware that it is
    selling more.

Check with the manufacturer or on their web site to see if a pilot
There are. If not, you're out of luck.

In the future, before making such an upgrade, make sure you have
done the appropriate research to find out what drivers do not exist,
and so what equipment you need to replace if you upgrade.

My MFC-9130CW scanner stops inexplicably scans to my PC one day.  It worked great for several weeks but now, whenever I try to scan (either from the machine itself or the center of Brother on my computer), a generic "scanning failed" message appears.

I contacted Brother support and they had me uninstall all software/drivers Brother and reinstall them, but I get the same error message when trying to scan.  IP address of the machine is valid, it is connected to our wireless network (I can print wireless) and I have even disabled the Windows Firewall (as support suggested brother).  Nothing works.  I am at a loss, because I have not changed anything that is related to my OS.

The fact that you cannot scan even from the front Control Panel suggests that the machine has an internal problem that could fix only repairers specialist Brother or printer...

There is a one year warranty on the machine. You should get it back to brother as soon as possible if the warranty is still good...

    Hello

You should not use the ATI graphics driver because this driver is not designed for the use of the laptop. Toshiba recommends to use own graphics drivers because these drivers are specially designed for the use of the laptop.

However, after getting the procedure books should work properly. If the failure occurs after this procedure again so I guess it must be something wrong with the hardware (graphics chip)
I don t think you will be able to solve this problem yourself.
In this case, you must contact the Toshiba ASP.

  • "display driver has stoped working, but was recovered" and then shuts down the system. "

I have a problem with the opening of my yahoo email because my computer just Bonnac outside and flashes once or twice and says "display driver has stoped working, but was recovered" then shuts down the system. " Itsriving crazy me :(     (I have windows vista & pentium bicoeur.)

This means that there is a problem with your graphics card. I suggest that to update your Windows and check of course latest service pack installed. Also check Windows problem and Solution Center and see if everything suggested installation listed there. It can make it appear to update your graphic card.

If this isn't the case, try looking in the card of your gaphic provider or your PC support Web site to update its driver.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • C7250 connected wireless works with wired ethernet PC but not wireless PC

C7250 installs fine with static IP address and wired (ethernet) PC works perfectly, but is not recognized by the PC wireless.

Can ping the IP of the PC cable but not wireless computers.

Can connect to the IP address of the browser and can logon to the wired PCs of wireless computers.

When the wireless PC is connected to the network with ethernet cable the C7250 works perfectly.

Firewall is not the issue because I tested with the firewall disabled.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your help.

I FINALLY FOUND a RESOLUTION but let me describe what I've done to isolate the problem so that others will not do the same things I did.

I used my Windows CE PDA and connected to the wireless router. I made sure that IE could access a different print server wired for a Brother HL-2140 I 192.168.2.10 and it worked. Who checked out that IE was working with a wired device. I then went to Yahoo!, and it worked. Then, I tried to access the C7250 configuration using IP 192.168.2.20 address in IE and it failed. (I checked with my Wired PC I could have access to the configuration of C7250 via IE.) I expected this result.

Then I connected the PDA via USB and verified that I could use it to access the configuration of C7250 use IE on the PDA and it worked.

I then tested between two wireless PC. Could not connect to each other through the router. But if one of them has been wired and one wireless they connected and I have consulted the disks between computers. I also tested the two cables with the same results.

THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE ROUTER.

These tests again virtually eliminated all PC, firewalls (since I've tested with the firewall disabled), the C7250 and the print server for the HL2140 brother as being the source of the problems.

I then updated the firmware of the router to the latest version and repeated all the tests carried out in the complete thread and had the same results.

    RESOLUTION:
The router I was using was a Linksys WRT54GS Ver 1.

I also had a backup router which is a Linksys WRT54GS 7 worm that had the same settings as the Router 1 worm.

I changed the SSID of the original router (Ver 1) so I would not need to change the SSID in all my devices during testing with the router Ver 7.

I checked the firmware on the router worm 7 was the later and pulled up.

The first test I did was to use a ping wireless PC the C7250 192.168.2.20 and it worked!

I then used the wireless PC and IE to access the configuration of C7250 192.168.2.20 and it worked!

I then checked the port for the C7250 was still a TCP/IP port to 192.168.2.20 and sent a test page to the printer and it worked!

I consulted quickly wireless configuration C7250 and printer a test of a PC cable page and that worked!

Finally, I tested PC wireless wireless PC PCand wired PC and the dirves successfully in both directions and checked that PC wired to wired PC was still working as before.

All that remained was to supply two routers and router swap 1 worm with the Ver 7 router and rerun the tests with the router to Ver 7 manage my real network. Everything works as it should.

    I'll keep Router 1 worm as a backup to the Ver 7 knowing router unless the router worm 7 does not only feature that I lose when I reinstall the Router 1 worm is wireless connectivity to wireless, and I can temporarily work around until I get another router that is likely to be a "n" because what is have is ' G;

  • Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - device is detected.

I have a Dell XPS 1530, which had Vista 32 bit running. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the Bluetooth of DELL BH 200 headset does not work with my laptop.

I tried to update the drivers and reinstall the device and the adapter from the Device Manager. We have a similar setup on my brother's computer and it works fine.

Another thing to watch, would be what battery is used.  I know from personal exp some devices work with Toshiba stack, vs the MSFT pile up.  Do a search and see if anyone else uses a different battery with these devices.
