  • Problem of sync Tungsten E2 to the exchange of data of the order of the day

    Hi guys,.

I am a pretty old used PALM devices, I have a Tungsten E2 that starting yesterday now not able to sync my PC more with any pf. I tried with Win 7, Win 8 using the Desktop 6.2 via Bluetooth using the HotSync Manager.

When I try to sync - upward, HotSync manager activity seems to be ok, the computer ask me the password I type and then the synchronization process starts, number of clicks green confirms the good performance of sync files syetm but when synchronization try to drive the agenda, he's missing, I mean that he doesn, t go more.

In my opinion, it seems that some data in your handheld pointer has changed and so that data from the agenda of the handheld to the PC is blocked. Unfortunately, I can't check with cable USB WIN 7 and 8 do not work with USB.

No idea how to fix this without losing my data?

    Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

PalmOS devices have been able to sync via a USB cable for Vista64, Win7 and now Win8 for quite a while now.  We have a post sticky implemented in the top few positions listed in this section:

    64-bit drivers HotSync

The data of the order of the day is updated on the computer in Palm Desktop?  Run the auditor of the Palm Desktop on Tools/Options/tools database to see if something needs to be repaired, then set the conduit Hotsync next to the order of the day on "Desktop replaces the handheld computer."

As usual, we recommend that you install NVBackup on an SD card before risking the loss of personal data.  It can be copied to the card, the card inserted in your Palm and a full backup made and saved in the card.  NVBackup can be found at www.freewarepalm.com.

Another suggestion would be to install DBFixit of Pimlicosoftware.com.  It is designed to fix data errors, some free, others require pay a registration fee that goes to a sanctuary for gorillas.

  • WLan can be activated only when the NB200 is running

    I have a laptop Equium n and a netbook NB200.
I implemented the new netbook NB200 a couple of days and had the same problems experienced by others trying to turn on the Wifi!

Now it's OK, but I find that the laptop can't access Wifi now if the Netbook is running (the laptop was fine before that appears the laptop!). Obviously, to put in place access Netbook, I did something stupid, but I can't imagine what it is!

I hope that someone can suggest a solution.

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry mate, but I'm a bit confused of m.
For me it s case; If the laptop is turned OFF the Wlan cannot be used.
Only if the laptop is turned on you can activate the WLan using FN + F8 key combination and use the WLan.

  • My PC will not download the "day of security for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954430)". Just use Windows Firewall.

This problem started with no changes made on my PC.  I used a Webroot antispyware and combination product of anti-virus for more than a year.  The shield icon now appears in the lower right corner with the message that I need to download the update.  When I did the update, the shield of gold disappears for 20 seconds approximately and then reappears.  Concerned and confused about this issue.  Have spend most of the day trying to research on the problems of the various online sites.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Error - the computer is running an operating system Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not support for the installation of the Extension of reporting Dynamics CRM 2011.

Original title: Dynamics CRM 2011 Extension of reporting facility.

    Nice day

Asked me to install this program called Extension Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report Authoring on one of our PC network operations.  The computer is a Dell OptiPlex 960 under Windows XP SP3.  When attempting to install the program, you get the following error message:

The computer is running an operating system Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not support.  To install this product, you need to upgrade your computer to an operating system supported.  For a complete list of supported operating systems, see the documentation for Microsoft Dynamics CRM (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=181018)
For additional detals see logfile C:\Documents and Settings\bcodom\Application Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs\BIDSExtensionsSetup.log

Now, normally, I just coordinates with the end-user to him upgrade to Windows 7, however, after watching on the download page of this application (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13818), I noticed that Windows XP is one of the supported operating systems that can be installed on.  In addition, after looking around on the Technet documentation, I was not given a definitive answer on whether or not this application is not supported on Windows XP.

So, my question is creation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report Extension works on Windows XP SP3, or do we let us upgrade this computer to Windows 7?  Thank you!

    Hi Bcodom,

In dealing with the problem to install the Extension of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report creation, I would recommend you to post your question in the help link.

  • Leave a pc on all the time, as I always close the end of the day?

I have recently been informed by a friend that computers should be left on at all times rather than close them at the end of the day,

Apparantley shut down a computer translates the computer run slower?

Please can someone tell me if this is correct?

Thank you in advance with any help I can receive

Your friend is, in my view, perpetuating an urban legend I've met regularly. I always shut my PC down when I'm done with her. Apart from anything else, this is the 'green' thing to do and your electricity bills will be reduced too.

He move in your PC to parts that wear out because there is no such thing as a perpetual motion machine. These moving parts will fail more quickly if you leave the PC on 24/7. Leave the PC 24/7 means that it is necessary to clean more often if dust accumulates at a faster rate, which increases the risk of overheating.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • How to change the power settings to activate the fan stops during the day before.

Since my computer has turned off the fan in the standby mode.  Suddenly, after having entered the day before, the fan continues to run.

You mention not likely this fan, case fan? That would be controlled by the drivers from your mobo, obtained from your mobo site

  • My screen freezes 1 min after that I start my PC (only the first time) then it works throughout the day

It only freezes once and for some strange reason windows crashes when I click on Administrative Tools.

Additional information from the double wire:

I have absolutely no problem, except that Vista freeze 5 min after the first start of the day, and then it works fine.

I also run a memory test and it found nothing.

It's a hardware problem, because the problem persists after reformatting. Thanks for making me reformat the computer, guys.

  • Windows Live Mail - starts OK on initialize to top every day but disappears later in the day.

Running Windows Vista Home (Service Pack 2).  Using Windows Live Mail.

Normal daily start up, once online I have no problem running Live Mail.  I check for emails, and once completed, I normally have to close the program.  Later in the day, when I want to check for other emails, even once is not a problem.

However and on a random basis, there comes a time when I try to load Live Mail but it does not load.  Initially, the hourglass turns on and the light disc shows some activity, but Live Mail starts it.

If I do a Ctrl + Alt + Delete to check what programs are running, it shows Live Mail.

The only resolution I've found is to re - start the PC.  The model then rehearsals sometimes, but not always.

    Clues or fixes out there?

The next time you check the status in the Task Manager, when you find Windows Live Mail click the switch button to see if that move you to the program and he opened for you.

If it does not, in the Task Manager and then click Windows Live Mail and click on end task this is confirmed.  Once he is gone (give it some time), open another window, and then try to connect again.  It cannot solve the problem, but it's better than the re-start (if it works).

I would like to know if one of these workarounds help solutions.

If not, please transfer your question in Forum Windows Live Mail to: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop where experts in this program will be happy to help you.

  • My computer hangs for 15-20 seconds many times throughout the day, suggestions to fix this?

It seems no matter what I do on the computer, it will freeze for 10-15 seconds at a time, then run again the OK for a bit, then gel to the top.  This happens continuously throughout the day.  Any suggestions on what could happen?  I ran checks on the computer, but all system controls came out OK.

It could be a sub-process or application that runs in the background
and taking all the CPU resources.

To find and view what could be the problem, try Process Explorer:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
    SysInternals Forums: http://forum.sysinternals.com/

Worth reading: the process system CPU spikes
    http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2008/04/07/3031251.aspx

Once you have Process Explorer installed and running:
In the task bar, select view and check:
'Show the process tree' and the options 'display the lower pane '.
Move the cursor of your mouse over any column in the right pane and
Make a right click and check the following boxes:
    "Command line" and "Version".
Then expand the process named "Explorer" (click the plus sign +)
In the left named "CPU" column, look for any high CPU usage.
Then click on the CPU column to sort processes by CPU usage %
    (Highest to lowest).

You can also hover and check any spike point or up/down in the chart of the CPU.

Move the cursor of the mouse on any process,
You should see a pop-up window with some detailed info.
Then the mouse on the process using most or all the CPU %.
Then click on this process to select,
Now that it is highlighted, right click and select the options listed:
    "Online search".
This should bring that out there on the web about this process.
You can also double-click any process to open a more detailed
    "Properties" window

Note: some entries such as explore, System/Services and Svchost
To be expand to view details (sup process),
in this case, click on the + to the left of the entrance.

Another method when you use Process Explorer
is to double click on the graph just below the menu bar.
This will open the "System information" window, which has a larger screen
of all the three graphs. Move your mouse over any Picot in the
Graphic of the use of the CPU to see what process/application or service is the cause
    earworm.

  • How we prevent persistent reboots during the day on desktop

You need to restart our computer of the two or three times during the day.  Turn us your computer in the morning and leavit turn it on during the day, then it turn off during the night.  What is going on???

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    `

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Count the days back by year and month?

In my doc, I have 7 text fields (Sun, Mon, Mar, sea, game, Fri, SAT). I use another field enter a date. When I enter an end date, I have 7 fields to be filled with dates. For example, if I enter the date field 06 18, 2016, I wish I had the 7 fields like this, Sun would show 12, Lun would show 13, AUT show 14, sea would indicate 15, game show 16, Fri would show 17 and Sam would have 18. I'm counting the days is backwards because I'm coming the weekend of date (always a Saturday).

What I'm running is the month before sometimes will have 30 days, some months have 31 (and of course leap years). Thus, for example, if I choose 2 July 2016 days should come back like that, Sun should see 26, LUNs should show 27, Tue should show 28, sea should show 29, that game should show 30, Fri should show 01, Sam should show July 02.

How can I do this correctly? I need a javascript smart thing to do. Can someone please help me with an example? Thank you.

Here is a link to a sample form that shows how you can do this: http://acroscript.net/pdf/demos/populateWeek.pdf

The script is located in the field Validate event entry date. Note that day fields use a special naming convention that allows a simplification of the code, so you have to use a similar model.
