That's exactly what I did using Opera 9.23 and Flash 9,0,16,0. When
plug-ins have been activated, he showed the video. When plug-ins have been disabled,

  • BlackBerry smartphones 'browser problem detected.

I get a message 'Browser issue detected' when I go to expedia.com.  He wants me to activate scripting/javascript.  So I click on the message and it gives me options to choose the right browser: explorer, firefox, safari, etc..  Is the problem with this particular Web site?  I thought that javascript is activated automatically on the BlackBerry...  Don't know what to do here.

Well, the activation of JavaScript on your BB allows the BB browser to interpret and make sites that use it. If it is disabled, then those who can't run and what's planned rendering of the site will come through.

Regarding the "is it advisable"... This is an appeal from the judgment that each individual must make. Personally, I see no harm in them for BB devices. Other OS HH could have more challenges there.

  • Why as I get an Incompatible browser was detected.

When I go to the FAFSA page to get my financial aid, he said I have an Incompatible browser was detected. Ive used Firefox before and have no problem in going to this site. I have Firefox on my laptop as well as my office. I don't want to use IE, but I hate for another site to give me the same message. It says I should use FF 3.5 x or x 3.6

Try https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/ - set it to Firefox 4.0

  • Beginner of Flash Action Script 3

    Hi friends,

I worked as a graphic designer and web and am very interested in learning Flash Action script 3.

Please guide me to choose a straight path.

    Thanks in advance!

You will be better to go straight to the AS3... you need not to learn first AS2, and in doing so may confuse learning AS3.

Gotcha. For what it's worth, I did have some success with
SWFObject. This is my favorite solution of many out there.

  • Flash detection test

    Hello

I got the flash detection kit and integrated into a site I'm developing. Many people told me that they end up with a blank page. I think the flash detection does not work and I'm unable to verify this part since all PC in the office are installed with the latest plugin.

How can I check if detection really works...

    Thank you

    > How can I check if detection really works...

    Uninstall the plugin.

In addition, you can use SWFObject - it's much more enjoyable:

  • Install Flash Player: Script error (18.0.0.209, opera)

Hi - went to update flash today, and once I did, I went on the use of Web sites in flash I use.

And then I get the message to tell me that I don't have Flash (like the most recent version) installed and I need to install it.

If I click to install it. Once I have download, I run the file and go to install, when I get:

    FLASH.png

I have troubleshooted (or is it troubleshooting-made?) this problem and the answer that came back was to uninstall flash and reinstall it using the install script programs in this thread: Script error when you try to install Flash Player 18

However, I still have the problem after restarting my PC (or browser) that has not changed. Flash is still claim it is not up-to-date, and when I go to download and install, gives me the error above before deleting itself. How the hell can I fix it? I want to continue to use the websites I frequent, rather than wait an age for flash finally get his finger on his donkey and update.

    Thank you < 3

    Hi Mestaris,

Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work. The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. Start the control panel and go to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
    2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
    3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
    4. Click OK
    5. Select apply
    6. Open a session/disable
    7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  • A test of web sites to make sure that the browser/Flash player / other is sufficient for all the Captivate content

My previous object in the header was a little confused, so I hope it's good I start again and more clearly what I need.

I have hundreds of users who access the Adobe Captivate 5.5 training.  Many users have no problems to display the content.  SOME users have bad, specially when you view a video included in the training.  It will just play for them.  These users have different browsers, so it would seem that the browser type is not a problem.

    What I hope is...

a website that allows users to know that they all needed to run any content in a session of Captivate.  For example, as you know, Adobe has a web site to inform the user what version of Flash Player, they have (if any).  I would be great to have a site that would let the user know whether they meet the minimum requirements (not simply Flash Player) to successfully participate in training.

Is anyone aware of such a site?  Or have any ideas on how to build one?

Thank you and I'm sorry for not being clearer on the previous post.

    Best regards

    Mark

Captivate outputs (in general) as Flash. So as long as users have a recent version of the Flash Player, they should be technically able to read the content.

However, of course, online delivery depends on the internet connection of the user. What happens if you are their video feed and their connection is slow?

For similar concerns, point us our users on speedtest.net and ask them to publish their results. It sometimes helps illustrate their slow connection means a slow video streaming.

And, of course, the older computer, complexion less it is going to be making the course. My older computer, with the frustration of my 5 y/old, plays horribly - Flash sites and occasionally and it's a computer clocked at 1.6 ghz with 512 MB of RAM and XP... with the latest browsers and Flash player. You can always ask their specifications of the computer, but it is not an easy thing to determine through software/website.

So you can create a simple 'minimum requirements' page that you can point to... but that doesn't make a diagnosis... Well, apart from the simple version of Flash player/detection (which is pretty simple), it is a complex task.

  • Flash detection version not per page?

    Hello

I have a program that has a configuration of normal office (installshield). After installing and launching, he launched an IE window and inside it's Flex.
Now I want to require a minimum version of 10, but it is breaking my program using javascript detection like in http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/download/detection_kit/.

My question is, is it possible to detect the version of Flash not through the browser? I want to be able to read some registry.
If not, can I bypass the automatic detection and upgrade mechanism by any chance? I saw major problems with the way Adobe is to do, which is upgrading, closing the window and raise the same page.
Can I detect that it is less than 10, the user just give a link (redirect to another page), without going through how Adobe upgrades inside the browser?

    Thank you

    Mike

    Mike,

    > My question is, is it possible to detect the version of Flash
    > not through the browser?

For security reasons, I think that your only choice is JavaScript or
    ActionScript.

    > If not, I can bypass the automatic detection and
    > upgrade mechanism by any chance?

Sure! There are a number of free JavaScript solutions out there,
    including SWFObject and UFO
    ( http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/index.html). I prefer SWFObject,
personally, and you can read why its developer believes he is better than the
    alternatives here:

    http://blog.deconcept.com/SWFObject/#whyitsbetter

Keep in mind that the latest version of SWFObject is available at Google
    Code:

Of course, which could be frustrating things. :)

    Altogether. Give a SWFObject!

I just got the SMP-N200 and love it. It is very flexible in many respects, much still to explore. My biggest concern is the response to this message, and its date of shipment is 5 months old.

  • Get Flash Website - script for Version control problem

    Hello

so, I am writing a script to tell me whenever there is a new Flash update. Yes I know there is the update, but the condition is to have the updates for flash, java and adobe reader in an e-mail notification.

Until now I used helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player.html. But then I realized get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ is much better, because a) it updates when a new version is already available and it shows the real version, not only new bulletins etc..

The big problem with this page is that it uses the dynamic rendering depending on the operating system you connect with. Given that my script is a bash script it does not show the version at all. There is no way to get a version with the POST or GET requests or same number by setting the User-Agent to something as windows.

Does anyone know what I could do or how I can get the site to show me the version for windows?

    See you soon,.
    Joe.

With the latest version of Flash Player (23.0.0.162), we have introduced a master xml http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/masterversion/masterversion.xml that contains the latest version of various Flash Player. You can use the same to get the latest versions.

Answered my own question. Apparently, the location of the buttons 'next' in the timeline of CP was affecting the Flash script. I did the CP chronology are the flash script and everything seems to work now. I cross my fingers.
