Flash detection script

I use the following code on my index.html page - if flash exists, it redirects in main.html, and if not, it redirects to poop.html. How would change the script for - rather than redirect to a page of my choice - load the page that was originally for?

< SCRIPT LANGUAGE = JavaScript1.1 >

var MM_contentVersion = 8;
plugin var = (navigator.mimeTypes & & navigator.mimeTypes [' application/x-shockwave-flash'])? navigator.mimeTypes["application/x-shockwave-flash"].enabledPlugin: 0;
If {(plugin)
Var words = navigator.plugins ["Shockwave Flash"].description.split ("");
for (var i = 0; i < words.length; ++ I)
{
If (isNaN (parseInt (words )))
continue;
var words = MM_PluginVersion
;
}
var MM_FlashCanPlay = MM_PluginVersion > = MM_contentVersion;
}
Else if (navigator.userAgent & & navigator.userAgent.indexOf ("MSIE") > = 0)
(& & (navigator.appVersion.indexOf ("Win")! = - 1)) {}
document. Write (' < SCR' + ' IPT LANGUAGE = VBScript\ > \n ""); FS hide this Mac IE4.5 by splitting the tag
document. Write ('on error resume next \n');
document. Write ('MM_FlashCanPlay = (IsObject (CreateObject ("ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash." & MM_contentVersion))) \n "");
document. Write (' < /SCR ' + ' IPT\ > \n "");
}

That's exactly what I did using Opera 9.23 and Flash 9,0,16,0. When
plug-ins have been activated, he showed the video. When plug-ins have been disabled,
He re-directed.

    You will be better to go straight to the AS3... you need not to learn first AS2, and in doing so may confuse learning AS3.

    Gotcha. For what it's worth, I did have some success with
    SWFObject. This is my favorite solution of many out there.

    Hello

    I got the flash detection kit and integrated into a site I'm developing. Many people told me that they end up with a blank page. I think the flash detection does not work and I'm unable to verify this part since all PC in the office are installed with the latest plugin.

    Uninstall the plugin.

    In addition, you can use SWFObject - it's much more enjoyable:

  • Get Flash Website - script for Version control problem

    Hello

    so, I am writing a script to tell me whenever there is a new Flash update. Yes I know there is the update, but the condition is to have the updates for flash, java and adobe reader in an e-mail notification.

    Until now I used helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player.html. But then I realized get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ is much better, because a) it updates when a new version is already available and it shows the real version, not only new bulletins etc..

    The big problem with this page is that it uses the dynamic rendering depending on the operating system you connect with. Given that my script is a bash script it does not show the version at all. There is no way to get a version with the POST or GET requests or same number by setting the User-Agent to something as windows.

    Does anyone know what I could do or how I can get the site to show me the version for windows?

    See you soon,.
    Joe.

  • Install Flash Player: Script error (18.0.0.209, opera)

    Hi - went to update flash today, and once I did, I went on the use of Web sites in flash I use.

    And then I get the message to tell me that I don't have Flash (like the most recent version) installed and I need to install it.

    If I click to install it. Once I have download, I run the file and go to install, when I get:

    FLASH.png

    I have troubleshooted (or is it troubleshooting-made?) this problem and the answer that came back was to uninstall flash and reinstall it using the install script programs in this thread: Script error when you try to install Flash Player 18

    However, I still have the problem after restarting my PC (or browser) that has not changed. Flash is still claim it is not up-to-date, and when I go to download and install, gives me the error above before deleting itself. How the hell can I fix it? I want to continue to use the websites I frequent, rather than wait an age for flash finally get his finger on his donkey and update.

    Thank you < 3

    Hi Mestaris,

    Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work. The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. Start the control panel and go to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
    2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
    3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
    4. Click OK
    5. Select apply
    6. Open a session/disable
    7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  • How to control the Captivate 4 variable using Flash Action Script 3.0?

    Hi all.

    I'm working on Captivate 4.

    According to my requirement, I need to control externally Captivate system variables in Flash using the AS3 version.

    I found a script somewhere in the forums to control system in AS1 and AS2 variables. But I need them in AS3.

    "this._parent._parent._parent.rdcmndPause = 1;  "

    "this._parent._parent._parent.rdcmndresume = 1;  "

    I tried the same way in the AS3 version but could not do.

    It is an important condition for me.

    How to control variables in Flash AS3 Cp4?

    Kind regards

    Kartik.P

    Use the following code:

    MovieClip (this.root) .rdcmndPause = 1;

    MovieClip (this.root) .rdcmndResume = 1;

    This should solve your problem

    ActionScript is the same in flash & flex.   Think that flex is a framework actionscript for the flash player.

  • loading the swf file in the flash file - script to expect to play until it is fully charged

    I have a flash file which is 1.5 mb in size. Because it takes about 6 minutes to someone on DIALUP to load this file, I created a small swf file and loaded more large one of him but I want like that to start playing until she is fully downloaded. How do I configure this? I implemented the action script 2 as follows: loadMovieNum ("top2.swf", 0);

    Yes, this should be addListener instead of the addEventListener method.

    and, if you use this code, please mark this thread as answered.  If you used a different encoding, please your postcode for others and mark this thread as a response.

  • Flash detect.  Is this possible?

    I'm doing a Flash CS3 site and would like to know if it is possible from Javascript, or something other that can automatically detect a user that does not have Flash Player 9 and redirect him to a HTML page.

    I try to avoid a cover simply page 10 to 30 percent of users who do not have a update of the Flash plugin.

    patach,

    > It detects the version of Flash CS3?

    Flash CS3 may publish a variety of sovereign wealth funds, content requiring
    Flash Player 9 all the way back through content which requires Flash
    Player 1. SWFObject allows you to specify the version of Flash Player your
    the site visitor will need to, as shown in the code example on the SWFObject site.

  • Simple PLATFORM detect script?

    I hope there is a simple solution for that - I operational requirement before Monday.

    I built two versions of a simple site: one stupid version for cel phones/blackberrys, etc., a sensitive version for regular ol ' Mac and PC. The version of cel is the default page. One of the computers is in a subfolder.

    Rather than enter a complex script that will endeavour to take account of all types of pocket which could hit the site, it seems it should be easy to detect for Mac & PC with javascript simply and deliver them accordingly in the subfolder. Handhelds should ignore just javascript and stay where they are... right?

    I'm not a javascript person, though - so if anyone has a simple script that does this, I would be very grateful.

    Also, is my hypothesis on the handhelds simply ignoring javascript fix, or will they choke on it and does not make the page?

    Thank you very much!

    A few responses:

    http://www.hand-interactive.com/resources/detect-mobile-JavaScript.htm

    Includes a file to include downloadable javascrript. Then, just make a call to DetectMobileLonger() which returns a Boolean value. If it is false, redirect.

    Works fine now.

  • Flash detection version not per page?

    Hello

    I have a program that has a configuration of normal office (installshield). After installing and launching, he launched an IE window and inside it's Flex.
    Now I want to require a minimum version of 10, but it is breaking my program using javascript detection like in http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/download/detection_kit/.

    My question is, is it possible to detect the version of Flash not through the browser? I want to be able to read some registry.
    If not, can I bypass the automatic detection and upgrade mechanism by any chance? I saw major problems with the way Adobe is to do, which is upgrading, closing the window and raise the same page.
    Can I detect that it is less than 10, the user just give a link (redirect to another page), without going through how Adobe upgrades inside the browser?

    Thank you

    Mike

    Mike,

    > My question is, is it possible to detect the version of Flash
    > not through the browser?

    For security reasons, I think that your only choice is JavaScript or
    ActionScript.

    > If not, I can bypass the automatic detection and
    > upgrade mechanism by any chance?

    Sure! There are a number of free JavaScript solutions out there,
    including SWFObject and UFO
    ( http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/index.html). I prefer SWFObject,
    personally, and you can read why its developer believes he is better than the
    alternatives here:

    http://blog.deconcept.com/SWFObject/#whyitsbetter

    Keep in mind that the latest version of SWFObject is available at Google
    Code:

    http://code.Google.com/p/SWFObject/

    Of course, which could be frustrating things. :)

    Altogether. Give a SWFObject!
