  Hi, I have just moved from CS5 to CC.  My brush opacity and flow are set at 100%, but whenever I have reapply my brush color darkens. I want to apply only selected flat color and have the opportunity to raise my pen in-between, please help?

• Can not remove the brush color tint

  I have a picture that has been created by someone else. It has brush strokes applied to him, which gives it a nice tapered lines. I want to keep these traits, but I can't get their colors to change correctly.

  The "shades" colorization method works well if the original shape of the brush is really dark black.

  Circumstances, it may happen that this is not the case. Please check the form of the brush, if it is black. No matter if it's black intense in color mode CMYK, but you must make sure that it is RGB 000 in RGB color mode. Levels of gray 100% will not work.

  Hi colem.

  It might be possible that the color replacement tool has moved under the edition toolbar option.

  Go to the Edit menu > Toolbar > restore default > check again under flyout brush and it should be there now.

• Help! Question of layer mask and reverse brush colors

  For days now, I was unlucky in my quest to find an answer as to why my brushes became out of whack. When I use a brush and paint on the same area, the colors are reversed in this area! Ive set brush settings by default, but the question will not let me be! Layer masks have become another issue. The white rush works but not the black. Opacity and flow is set to 100. Please help because nobody has found an answer.

  You can post a screenshot? Looks like your blending mode of the brush is put on the screen and not normal.

  I created a simple circle and want to color a predefined brush I have.

  I know that you can use the shape dynamics and layers to change the stroke color and fill color. I don't want a fill, but rather that I brush, shadow areas, so it looks like I used a pencil on paper.

  I also know that I can do this manually, making sure not not to "color outside the lines" and then delete anything outside the lines that I can wear a color by mistake.

  However, I have many of these objects to the color and want the freedom to move my brush beyond the edge of the circle, coloring and shading quickly with my predefined brush.

  Is it possible to use a predefined brush, color of a shape, but not the coloring to go outside of the boundaries of the shape you created?

  1 fools the shape layer (Cmd + J)

  2 layer > rasterize > shape

  3 wand. Select the inside of the circle.

  4. Select > Inverse and then delete. This will give you some ants running on the raster layer

  5. Select > Inverse so that the Interior of the circle is the live area

  6. brush and your work will stay in the circle

  An additional Tip:

  At this point before you deselect the moving dotted line, choose the command selection > Save selection. In the future, if you choose to modify the brush in the circle you can remind the mobile dotted with Select > load selection before working on the raster layer

  Davy,

  It is a Color picker, never a selector of grayscale.

  With a high saturation, what color you choose blends with the original under the brush color.

  With saturation set to 0, which color you choose will replace the underlying color.

  To paint gray, you adjust the saturation to 0 and do not choose a color for the brush. Here again, you won't be able to paint with a uniform gray. The darkness will be determined by the underlying darkness of the image and the exposure and brightness sliders.

  Basically, it is not a painting tool. To do this, you will need to go to a publisher of pixels.

• CS4 Question of color fill

  Trying to paint for use on a new layer fill color, I get the message that I can't perform this action without rasterize the layer first. When I hit Cancel, it tells me "could not use the can of paint because the content of the layer is not directly editable. The problem is that I don't want pixelation. Specifically, what I want to do is create new color fill layer (say red), allows you to complete with black to create a mask by the Red transparent until with a white brush color over the paint. And, conversely, when using a black brush, red is "erased" and goes back to transparent.

  I did it in CS2 and CS3 without falling on an error. I hope it's just missing me something basic and new in CS4.

  On the fill color layer, there are two icons: one for the padding on the left and one for the mask on the right. Click on the mask. When the mask is active, it has double lines on the corners like this:

  

  Now, you will be able to fill it with black and achieve what you want.

• Adobe color, by clicking color theme displays the wrong color (PSD, I, iD, AE)

  When I create a new Adobe Color CC Web site color theme, sometimes the color theme seems to have a mind of your own. This has happened for the last few months in the I, ID, PSD and AE (CC 2015) I've just updated all the software to the latest version (Release 2015 3.0)

  I create the color theme, then when I choose the color in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, although the colors look correct and hovering on the color theme displays the appropriate 6 numbers and colours CMYK, color once I have create a form, or select a brush, color is incorrect.

  If I play with the theme long enough by changing a few values here and there, it seems to work. But for at least this color theme, I can't have the correct color without manually typing in color, although color Adobe theme library displays the value of the appropriate color.

  Anyone having problems with the color themes and color pick up?

  If you don't want your color to change, use only RGB color Adobe cc. Do not click the CMYK option.

• How can I save my history of color (Adobe drawing app)

  I'm not sure if this is an obvious question, but I am struggling to find a way to save colors of my 'color story' in 'my library', mainly so that I can use the same palette again for new designs. Anyone got tips?

  Hi Louise,.

  If you open the menu color you'll see three tabs at the top of the menu (selector of themes my library). Choose selector. In the next menu that opens, you will see another menu drop-down (by default to the wheel); Press that and choose history. You will see all the colors that you used in this project.

  The stories of color and brush settings are per project. So they are available for each canvas in a project, but as soon as you open a new app by default project, the original brush/color settings.

• Creation of stroke brushes

  When you create a new STROKE brush, should what color I use for the race?  I know that I can choose tints and shades during the creation of the brush, but I do not know how the original color of the race plays the final color.  I tried to use a medium gray with tints and shades chosen in the settings of the brush and brushes color well and some do not, but I do not know why exactly why.

  It depends on what you want to achieve.

  I case you want the brush to get the exact color that you define as a stroke, your brush must be black

• I think that I broke my color chart on Photoshop CC 2015

  I was doing the paintings with my Tablet and as you know probally, when you press on alt, you can choose any color from the layer of.

  It was working fine, but I think that I pressed all the shortcuts then and when I try to choose a color is wrong in the 'first place of color on the brush [color scheme] .

  Please follow the steps below and see if that helps.

  > Press D to set the foreground and background default color

  > Use the brush in Photoshop file tool

  > Hold the Alt key to use the color picker.

  Let me know if it helps.

  Please also mention the version of Photoshop installed and the operating system.

• Black odd "burn" brushes when I press with Tablet

  Hey everybody,

  I get this weird, almost pixelated burn in my brush whenever I push down my pen on my Intuos4 tablet.

  

  It happens with ALL of my brushes regardless of presets or any form of textures or effects I have on them. This image comes from a document of costs, there are no filters or other effects running. Just a brush color producing these odd pixels. I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7, Intel Core processor i7 - 3770K CPU @ 3.50 GHz 3.90 Ghz - 8 GB RAM - AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

  Let me know if any other information would be helpful. Any information that you guys have would be super useful because this is the most annoying thing ever.

  I'll leave this place because I have solved this 'me' and it might help future generations of dweebs. After realizing that the black pixelated occurred in gradients so, I did some simple research and found this link:

  Apparently, it is simply a problem with the drivers of AMD for the 7 - series HD and after a quick update, the problem disappeared completely.
