BSOD put into hibernation or shutdown

Hello

I read an article on the subject, but so far, none of them gave me a solution. I use Sony Vaio and all drivers have already updated because I use updated software that allows me to identify and update all the old drivers. I also bought the software that reads of the dmp (minidump - memory), but I am not able to understand what is right is the problem and how to fix it. See below information on landfills. Please, let me know if anyone has any advice for me.

tks.

It is possible either program could contribute to the error or which collide with Kaspersky.

I missed to mention another program that is installed which has been known to cause or encourage DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE errors and it's Connectify. so if you reinstall Kaspersky and/or the BSOD happen try to uninstall Connectify.

  • laptop is not put into hibernation after "standby mode"

    Reference Dell dear community,

    I have an Insipron 17R core i5 zm2410, NVIDIA Geforce 525 m, win8 64bits and I am facing a problem with hibernation mode / sleep.

About 2 weeks ago my laptop went mode hibernation after beeing in mode 'sleep' for 2 hours on battery (for total draining of the battery to advoid).

Now, it is not do it anymore but remains on "sleep" during all the time and drains the battery.

I usually remove the power cable from the laptop during the night because of the noise of the adapter and the laptop always put into hibernation after beeing in mode 'sleep'. I went over the configuration in options plans and power supply and even reset and configured them again, without success.

The only changes made to the system are important updates of windows

I'm grateful for any suggestions or solutions.

Have you checked to see if Hibernation is still active? Open an administrator mode command prompt and type: powercfg/h on.

  • computer won't stay asleep or put into hibernation

I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 on a desktop computer.  I used to leave it on all the time but now I want it to go to sleep or put into hibernation after a few minutes (and stay that way until we want to use it).  I tried to sleep, hibernate and hybrid sleep.  It will turn off, but in a few minutes he returned upward by itself.  Sometimes it seems to scroll, and down every few minutes.

I read that USB devices can cause this, but only the mouse and keyboard are attached via the USB port.  There are two internal hard drives.

    A thought-

Check the network and sharing Center

Some settings of the map change

A click with the right button on your network adapter

    Select Properties

    Select Configure, then power management

and make sure that allow this device to wake the computer is not checked?

  • Probook450G3: question sleep/put into hibernation

I did a fresh install of windows 10Prox64 on this laptop which is originally pre-loaded with windows7 Prox64. I installed the drivers on the disc included. now, every time the laptop into hibernation or sleep I can't wake him up - the screen blinks several times then turns white. Nothing comes on the screen even not the mouse pointer. I can only continue by making a forced power off feeding and when I start her works normally as long as he does not sleep. I installed all the updates driver/Windows with the same result. Is there something else I can try other than to return to HP?

    HI Lotto,

Please download and install the software HP support assistant from this link:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?JumpID=va_r602_us/en/any/PSG/pl_ot_ob_ds_pd/hpsupportassistant_cc/DT & _sm_au_ = i7VQZMWMQRfwpVps

It will help to identify and correct the missing drivers and updates also.

This link also contains manuals on how to use HP Support Assistant. Make sure that you are connected to the internet during this operation.

If this does not work, you can try to reset your power options "by default" in the microsoft windows system.

and in the end, as a workaround, you can modifty power plan options to avoid hibbernation or standby mode.

-Update your BIOS to the latest version and put everything in your default BIOS
-update your entire system and reinstall the powersaver which must be downloaded from the toshiba driver download site
-If this is not enough, reclaim your machine and update all

  • My new Yoga 2 13 "has not put into hibernation!

    Hi all

I recently bought a Yoga 2 Windows 8.1, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD and I am almost happy with it. However, there are some irritating flaws that I can't fix. One of them is the absence of mode of hibernation, which I use on a daily basis, to avoid launch my favorite applications.

When I click on the 'shutdown' icon, I volunteered with: Shutdown / sleep / Reboot, but no hibernation mode.

How can I report this mode?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Power management & random question sleep/put into hibernation

    Hello people!

First of all, I'm an administrator COMPUTER experienced, and I've owned 6 Thinkpads over the years... the machine in question is today a Thinkpad W530 (K1000M, 16 GB RAM, 240 GB SSD Intel, Windows 7 x 64, latest drivers and BIOS).

I had a weird problem where out of no where, and while on battery, the computer will go to the default mode ' uh oh, battery runs out, record everything! Aka, if Hibernate is enabled, the computer will be in hibernation. If I disable Hibernate in Windows, then the computer go to sleep. So the problem is same, and for other symptoms can present as "hibernate without warning" instead of "sleep without warning.

In any case, this occurs sporadically and often at times that bothers. The first few times, I didn't know what has increased, but I looked into it a little further now.

Immediately after this forced sporadic "sleep" / "hibernate" happens, I checked the event log:

    "

    The system to sleep.

    Reason to sleep: battery

    "

Now, obviously, this is no good. I was a little confused the first time I saw that as the power manager, or the built-in Windows gauge showed low battery. And after that I take for sleep/hibernate mode, the battery is still fine.

Today, however, I only found a major clue. This time, instead of simply jumping to a sleep/hibernate event, I got a low battery critical Windows popup warning first, and looking at the Windows battery meter was shown left 7%, even if Lenovo Power Manager gauge showed a little more than 50% left. Almost immediately after, he does it is sleep and I wake him up once again, and of course, as always, the battery level returns to normal.

If long story short, it's a pretty serious battery level report bug somewhere in the drivers of power? Or is it a bad battery? (And if that were the case, why only Windows reports the State of the intermittent dangerously low battery, Lenovo Power Manager no?)

Just curious for some feedback, otherwise, I'll have to start RMAing parts, or even the entire machine. Of course, having Windows sometimes think that the battery is not about to die is not acceptable. Imagine if I was doing something critical and decides the computer "uh oh, battery low time.» close it as soon as possible! ».

Yes. Define your event of critical battery doing nothing. It is a workaround, but it is not too bad workaround.

  • Put into hibernation, and then restart the two computer sending to a complete stop

Totally out of the Blue yesterday (20 December 2010) my laptop running XP Pro SP3 with full updates developed a need where Hibernate (via the shutdown menu and pressing the on/off switch) sends the computer to a complete stop after briefly posting the 'Preparing to Hibernate' screen but is progressing not not to the Windows XP screen. Similarly, Restart completely shuts down the computer and does not restart automatically.  I checked, disarmed and reset the settings to the hibernation effect power management.  Any ideas?

For aand Stand By issues of hibernation, I always start with video dirvers.

Can you think of changes in the field of video drivers since finally things worked?

So far, all we know is that you have a laptop computer with Service Pack 3.

It is good that you have SP3, because there were some problems with Hibernate and Stand By fixed in SP3.  You can read about them here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/946480

If you want to see what you have now, or if you have problems later, follow these steps:

Usually and easy to check and correct, is the video drivers for your system that must be downloaded to your global manufacturers Web site. Download the correct (recent) video drivers for your graphics card, install the correct video drivers, reboot your system, and then test.

If you can not know how to check if your video drivers are correct, may not know how to get to the World Wide Web of manufacturers or can not know what to do then, maybe we can look at it for you if you provide more information.

What is your system brand and model?

If you are not sure what you have, or need another set of eyeballs on it, follow these steps:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click Edit, select all, copy and paste then return here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete it.

This minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork, trying things and assumptions.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • T500 will not be put into hibernation on Windows 7

I have a problem with the Hibernate. I did a fresh install of Win7 x 64, had some difficulty finding drivers and so on, but I got everything.

Sleep function works perfectly, but when I try to put the computer in hibernation, is the only thing that is happening, that the screen turns off, and when I move the mouse or touchpad that it turns on again, I put in my pass or fingerprint, and everything is as if nothing has happened.

I tried with graphics integrated or discrete, lenovo Power Manager installed or uninstalled, hybrid sleep is turned off, wake on LAN is off...

Tried to disable network cards, USB ports... nothing helps.

    Any ideas?

  • E7440 latitude: Wake-on-Lan works when the laptop is turned off, but not when it's put into hibernation

I have a Latitude E7440 running a clean install of Windows 10. If the computer has been stopped, I can use a Wake - On - Lan Magic Packet to the MAC address of the Ethernet port (as described here) to turn the computer back on. But if the computer is in hibernation, it does not work.

Probably, it is that when the computer is in hibernation the link on my switch light is off, but when it is stopped, the link light is on.

So my question is: How can I get this phone to maintain the LAN port when hibernation, in the same way on shutdown? Thanks in advance.

  • Lock, sleep, put into hibernation? Definitions, please

I have waded through the help texts but is more confusion than assistance!  What exactly each of these terms, and what is the difference between them?

The scheduled tasks 'wake up' the computer if it is locked, asleep or hibernating?  If so, the computer takes over the State after the intended function?  No doubt the programs that were running when the computer is locked, put in sleep or hibernation are suspended while in one of those States - or are they?  And when or why a State should be used rather than the other?

    Hello

Not really as equivalent to read all the Shakespeare for the technology is "Google is your friend". Which
    of course still applies.

When a computer wakes it reruns not the startup folder - it only runs scheduled tasks, then
    fall back to sleep.

While you sleep, it will work only the tasks that have been set to Awake the computer. Scheduled tasks
but they are not set to wake the computer not to run.

Normally the computer goes to sleep after that a scheduled task is completed.

  • Computer will not be put into hibernation when I close the lid

I have a problem with my laptop. It is a series of Toshiba C55. When I close the lid it will not be in hibernation, even if I set power options to do so. This happens not all the time, but it happens enough that it's boring. If I close the lid and it will not be in hibernation, which means that it is in danger of overheating if I put in my backpack. If I use the start menu, it just goes to the lock screen, that's what I suspect it is when I close the lid. Help on that would be great.
