BT Home Hub

After the recent microsoft updates I can connect is more to the internet via BT home hub. I tried BT help, restore the system & others, but it continues to be. Any ideas.

What version of BT Home Hub do you have?

You probably need to reset the router (Home Hub).

Disconnect the cable from the phone to the Home Hub and the power cable to the Home Hub. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect the cables and press the reset button with something like the head of a needle. On a Home Hub 3 will be three images, after waiting a bit, though, change from orange to blue. One in the Middle being the last to change to blue.

  • Connect the BT Home Hub 5 to Time Capsule

    Hello... I tried this search and became simply confused with how to proceed, or if it is still possible!

    I would like to time Capsule to back up an iMac and a MacBook Pro using Time Machine.  However, if possible, I would like to distribute my wifi signal of BT, as I believe that she will do better than the Home Hub itself...?  If this isn't the case, it would be good to know as well.

    1 use the WAN port on the TC and any port LAN on the HH5 to establish the connection.

    NOTE: at least until what you complete installation... Then, you can use any port on the TC. Sometimes a port LAN on the TC will then work better.

    I have an iMac and a Mac who need backup, and I also want to extend the signal wi - fi upstairs in my house.

    I bought a time capsule from the airport, the main Airport utility and tried to implement.

    Can I GRT at the stage where it broadcasts a Wi - Fi connection name and I can connect to it OK but it does not connect to the internet.  I'm clicked on edit and go to the WiFi settings and set it to the BRIDGE and put in the name of wifi BT HH and password but still nothing.

    I googled this and there seems to be some discussions that say it last only another apple product and some that say you can use it with HH BT wireless?

    Can someone give me an asnswer difinitive please and tell me how (if possible) to implement wireless to expand the wifi signbal.

    Function of "extend a wireless network" Apple owns... .it will only extend wireless signal from another router from Apple.

    At one time... over 3 years ago... it was possible to configure time Capsule to connect to a router from another manufacturer. It is a parameter to "join a wireless network.  But he could not "extend" the network when he does this.

    The "Join" option has been removed since more than 3 years, because it was highly reliable.

    If you want to use the time Capsule with the Home Hub, Time Capsule must connect to the Home Hub using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.  Then, if you wanted to "extend" the signal Time Capsule wireless wireless, you might add another router from Apple, such as an AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express.

    The bottom line here... If you want wireless "extend" an Apple product, you will need two routers Apple to do.

    I just got a new laptop for my wife and finds it difficult to connect to my wifi at home.  Working wifi and android hotspot is perfectly fine.

    It connects to a BT Home Hub.  Whenever I connect to the wifi (Wired is fine) I receive a status 'no. Internet, secure '.

    The HP laptop connects to my wifi works and my android hotspot, but not the BT Home Hub.

    I tried to update the drivers and factory reset the laptop.

    Everyone comes through this, or have any ideas I can try before I have to send the laptop back?

    Problem solved!  It seems I've hit a form any limit of IP on the BT home hub.

    I deleted the old devices from the homehub admin screen and was able to connect with no issues.

    I upgraded to the Bt Home Hub 3 to BT home Hub 5 yesterday and feel the same wireless connection I had with Home Hub 3. The connection to the Home Hub 3 was set by a post on this forum. How can I fix the problem for the Home Hub 5? I use a Mac book air and Yosemite OS.

    I used the WPS on HH5 function and connected to the printer and it market still so it seems that the problem is resolved. However, I saw a post on this forum about a different HP printer with a comment is not to use WPS with HH5.

    As you say that you can not connect to Xbox LIVE, you can try to diagnose the problem directly on your console. Go to My Xbox and open the Control Panel, and then select network settings, Test Xbox LIVE connection.

    Your BT Home Hub came with a yellow Ethernet cable - you should have a plug Ethernet on your PC.

    Just follow the instructions with the hub to connect.

    I'm trying to set up the AppleTV 4th gen to act as a drop-in centre, but it will not be displayed in the home of the iPhone app.

    I have the same problem.  A ran the same traps you.  2 factor auth active.  Sign in and out icloud.  No luck.  Can activate ipad like home but 4th gen apple tv hub will not simply act as the hub.  Under settings, accounts, icloud... no homekit option available.

    Same question here, but with 6 s iPhone more and iPad 9.7 Pro.

    No "HomeKit" option under iCloud as instructions indicate there should be.

    Only reference HomeKit that I could find anywhere was under "Privacy", with the only option being "Reset configuration" or something like that. Who comes to HomeKit forget all my devices.

    Have activated two-factor authentication, then out of the iCloud, Apple TV, and back in. No luck. Tried to reboot several times, still nothing.

    The Apple TV is clear my HomeKit Setup, because the use of the thing "Reset configuration" has had an impact on what I see on my iPhone. So I think this could be a bug in 10 TVOS. Very annoying that it breaks the new Automation features in iOS 10.

    It would appear that you need what is called a tint of Philips (V2.0) bridge to manage communications between the lights and the Apple TV (4th generation).   • Anyone having problems with the BT Home Hub 5 since the firmware has been updated two weeks ago?

    Since the firmware has been updated a couple of weeks, my air 2 canned disconnection from the wifi ipad. And if she's not be disconnected it asks the router to renew the lease every few minutes. Sometimes I can't the internet connection, other times I have connection, but used to play embedded videos.  I have to turn the ipad works to recover.

    In addition, my ipad think that the ip address is 127, but my router it's 115!

    I tried BT, but British users will know it is terrible, they are.

    Anyone with problems and suggestions? I tried everything until and including resetting the network settings. I'm sure it's the router.

    I use a Netgear without problems 6300rv & double speed

    Works even at the top of the long garden.

    If you are not bound to bt try Plusnet based in Sheffield

    Very good at solving problems.

    My main computer is running Windows 7 and is connected to the router ethernet. My laptop is running Vista, but I can't connect to internet (local access is). The signal strength is Excellent.

    who says "If you do not have a hub home set up, they can control only your accessories while they are at home, connected to your home WiFi networkand scope of your accessories HomeKit." in the section "allow remote access and edit permissions for users.  This means that you may not be connected to WI - FI, unless you haveb put shelter in place.
