Buffer overrun detected...

Hello

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I have an error that keeps coming back whenever I try to access a folder under 'Documents' that has all my multimedia elements (music, videos, etc.) in it. I can access any other folders, but not this one. The error that keeps coming back is...

---------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------------------------------
Buffer overrun detected!

Program: C:\Windows\explorer.exe

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program
internal state. The program cannot continue running safely and must
now ended.

Then has an OK box at the bottom right. Whenever I click ok my desktop goes blank button and all the Windows I opened go away for a few moments then all my desktop icons and some of my windows back. I scanned my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot S & D, MalwareBytes and SUPERAntiSpyware and nothing came. I also ran Uniblue Registry Booster. Very well cleaned my registry but that does not solve the problem either. I tried to find the solution by searching Google and Bing, but all that appears or either of the solutions for a mistake talking about some sort of error iexplorer.exe or solution has nothing to do with Windows Vista.

What causes this error and how to fix it? This error is very annoying, and it would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me. If you need more information or have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you very much

I can't help you with your problem, but please note the following:

Uniblue Registry Booster and all similar programs should be avoided
like the plague. Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil.
The registry cleaning is not necessary and dangerous. Leave the
Only registry and do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what a lot
people think, and try to which suppliers of software record cleaning
convince you to have used really doesn't hurt registry entries
you.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
good deal.

    Hi all

Please can someone help me with the following. I bought Tecra A8-103 a few months ago. Everything was OK until a few days ago when I pop up error message whenever the mobile VODAFONE UMTS connection is made:
    Quote
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

A buffer overrun has been detected as corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot continue safe execution and must now end.

I must say that this connection works correctly since may ' 07, when it is installed.
I have contacted Microsoft, watched their support forums, but so far there is no help.

    Hello Claudio

Vodafone any which comment to that? Maybe their support a clams a lot about this? Have you tried to roll back the OS to an earlier time using system restore? Perhaps it may be a quick fix to this.

  • PCI-6115: no error is raised when a buffer overrun occurs

    Hello

We use a PCI-6115 continuous acquisition to 10 MHz mode.

We read samples in blocks of 10e7 samples (i.e., by blocks of a second). Before you read the samples using the 'Daqmx Read analog 2D I16 NChan NSamp' VI, we check if the samples are available using the property "Daqmx Read--> status--> samples available by channel":

    • If 10e7 samples are available, we call the 'Daqmx Read analog 2D I16 NChan NSamp' VI with timeout =-1.
    • If not, we wait a few milliseconds and retry.

Unfortunately, we didn't intercept errors related to buffer overflows. I mean, I did some tests. And when a buffer overrun occurs, instead of getting an error related to a buffer overrun, the property "Daqmx Read--> status--> samples available through" simply returns 0 indefinitely.

This behavior is not what we want. We want something solid to detect buffer overruns. Is there a VI or property to check if a buffer overflow has occurred?

Instead of testing ourselves if samples are available, is it best to let the 'Daqmx Read analog 2D I16 NChan NSamp' VI do with timeout =-1 directly?

    Thank you

    Kind regards.

    xRed,

I don't have the equipment to test this at the moment, but I think DAQmx's task Done.vi go do what you want.  The problem with the help of samples available by channel property is that it is valid to call it when the task is technically done (error, or after the acquisition of all of the samples in a task finished) to determine how many samples can be read.  As the error you have is a buffer overrun, there is no samples that can be read safely, the query returns 0.  In your case of error, I expect that DAQmx is task Done.vi would return True for 'task performed?' output and the error you code were expected since the release of "error".

    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Deleting a file that causes a buffer overrun

I would appreciate your suggentions know how I can get this file on my PC. I use a Vista operating system.

    Thank you

It may be too big for the Recycle Bin.  Try to use SHIFT-DELETE to delete it and see if it works (this bypassses the trash).

Try to use one of the following free products to remove the file/folder.  Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin (works only on files, not folders), http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). • Blu - ray error: "file already exists", Code: "6", "Audio buffer overruns. Total too high sampling rate

I hope someon can help out me here - I'm stuck in my tracks.    I read through many discussions on this topic, but do not understand what is happening here.    CS6.  Note: I used even before I put this material on a disk.  I currently have a separate sequence paired down, with only about 1/5 of the entire production.   1920x1080i, 29.97, H.264 Blu - ray, VBR 2-pass, PCM inside PP to produce .m4v/.wav.  This is what confuses me - I tried a target of 10 and a maximum of 20, and I still get this error.   I tried different bits max rate 'default' settings for transcoding in again.    Note the timecode listed "0.000000" - maybe someone said something.    I don't really understand yet again, so maybe it's something that I've set wrong in still vs my exports?

    Capture.JPG

Good news!  Suggestion of Stan update seems to have solved the problem.  I think it was on the side of the PP, not yet.   I have updated both, but still using to try to make a comic about made export with the PP before update failed.   But once I upgraded to PP, a new rendering, etc. I am able to build a BD.

Disappointment, before I had installed all updates patches, but later everything uninstalled and ran the vacuum cleaner, try to debug another problem.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Buffer overflow

Hi, recently I met problems with call of duty 1 when executing it. Whenever I double click CoDSP.exe this error message appears:

    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program:... .gram Files\Activision\Call of duty 1\CoDSP.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has damaged the program's internal state. The program cannot continue safe execution and must now end. »

I played it years while I had another computer and Windows XP Proffesional(SP 2).
I tried to use avast! Internet Security to check the virus and CCleaner to check the registry errors... nothing worked. So if there is a solution help me.

Specifications: operating system: MS Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. P5Q (LGA 775)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 4800 Series
HARD drive: 625 GB Western Digital

The problem is due to a bug in the ATI drivers - there are several threads about this on the website of AMD. The thread I've read has been closed by a moderator with the statement "it will be fixed soon. I use the 10,11 drivers on a 4870 and I have the problem too.

10,12 drivers are available but that thread seems to indicate that the problem was always present in people. The message from the moderator was published on 12/19/2010 so I hope that the next version of driver will fix it.

  • E5-571 graph Acer question?

Hi all hope someone can help?

Recently bought an Acer laptop E5 - 571 i5 which has integrated graphics Intel - 4000 HD.

I installed Call of Duty United Offensive but I get a black screen when I try to run it, followed by a message saying

    "buffer overrun detected".

Its an old game and works well on another laptop, a Lenovo Z570 running Windows 7 with an Intel integrated chip (3000).  I would have taken the Acer would also have no problems being more spec, but it seems that this is not the case.

Googling the problem and I see that graphics drivers have been a problem with ATI cards, but there is no indication the integrated Intel has a problem.  Indeed, a more recent version of cod (Modern Warfare 2) seems to be on the list of Intel of games that work without problems with this particular configuration.

Someone at - it a suggestions of what I could do to break this problem?  I have the latest drivers Acer and tried to run the game in different compatibility modes (Windows 7, XP, etc.) with the same result.  Am reluctant to the idea of trying to mess around too much with it as I have until Christmas to retrun the agreement of 30 days replacement.

    TIA

    Reg

OK finally got sorted, seems to be a driver problem

Had to use DIsplay Driver Uninstaller 13.5.3.0 download from Sofpedia.  Ran this and opted for claire on all display drivers and install a driver Intel stock.

After a reboot, the graphics were then in Device Manager as a graphics card from Microsoft to address stock - I was then able to update the drivers by downloading and installing a driver more FORMER windows 7 since «VGA_Intel_10.18.1.3383_W7x64_A» Acer support site

Had a little play manually install drivers... had to use the Zip file and force him to accept it, but seems this solves the problem of Buffer Underrun on the old Call of Duty games.

Phil - Thanks for taking time to look over this and offer some suggestions

  • LabVIEW buffer overflow error

I'm using LabView 2010 and everytime I go to collect data using my VI, after a few minutes of data, I get a buffer overrun indicating error, and stops data acquisition.

How can I get to stop this?

Also, my VI is configured to 10 samples per second and an average of these output 10... then I need 10 averages per minute. It does not appear to be part correctly. Can someone tell me how to fix it?

Start by getting rid of all xvis I think I showed that this code serves no useful purpose. Do not. Replace them with all the functions, just throw the blue icons. CTRL Space ctrl r. gone poof. The rest will work out pretty easy once these pigs is no longer slow down useful processes.

  • 2 microphones. Buffer overflow.

I get an error of buffer overflow while acquiring data from 2 microphones.

    I am sampling at 22050 s/s with 5000 S/c.

Less than a second, I get the error,

"Error 4823 is produced in .vi Sound Input read (DBL)-> New.vi.

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: (Hex 0x12D7) you can't perform this operation without an active task.  To ensure that a task is active and try again. Enter a task might stop running if the capacity of the input buffer overruns. Overflow occurs when data are not read quickly enough. »

Is there something I can do to fix this? I tried to play with the values of s/s and S/ch, but could not solve the problem.  I think this will become a big problem when I try more of 2 microphones. I searched online for a solution to this problem, but could not find something that worked for me.

Thank you very much. Examples or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
