S/PDIF does not not on Satellite P100-191

Hello

First sorry for my bad English.

I bought a Satellite P100-191 laptop a few months before, now I want to connect with my other PC with S/PDIF. I bought cables straight, a 3, 5 mm Klink to converter Toslink and a Toslink cable, but it comes no S/PDIF signal to the connector on the laptop. I n not know why, I'm sure I have only seen a few times before when I plugged a normal Klinkcable, but now light comes no outside light when I plug in the Klink-Toslink-Convereter.

I hope someone can help me, thank you very much!

Hello

You can setup speakers speaker 5.1 surround sound? This option that you can find in the advanced audio properties.

However, it works on my friends Qosmio with speakers home theater but to transfer sound to the other PC.

Sorry, but I don't know.

  • Graphics performance on Satellite P100-191

I bought the laptop Satellite P100-191 yesterday, but I experienced a few problems of extreme performance from the beginning. I just reinstalled the standard display driver (Forceware 84.00 Toshiba) and changed some settings of Windows (uninstalled programs, services, etc.).

After the execution of Mark 3D! 2003! I get the result of some 6,000 Marks 3D, which is half of what this laptop should perform normally. I have the feeling that there might be a problem with the heat, because the bottom of the laptop gets VERY hot and continuous performance decrease over the system is running (up to less than 1 FPS). But since I don't have much experience with laptops, I can't tell if it's the right conclusion, or if there is just a 'bad' setting in the BIOS or somewhere.

So, I hope that someone of you can help me so that I can soon enjoy work and play correctly with the P100-191.

I also note that in this case, the light of battery on my laptop is not blue indicating the battery is full (of course), but neither is it orange indicating that he is in charge, but a few times I noticed that the light flashes when this happens not all the time. I played games with the power adapter plugged in and sometimes the laptop is off and when I turn it back on and "resume windows" warning message will appear saying 1% etc.

Please someone help and give me some advice on why my battery doesn't charge sometimes, I searched on the net about it and it is not the charger or the battery itself, but it's a hardware problem, people say, please someone kind and cleaver out there help me please.

You should know that it is not easy to provide an exactly fault diagnosis without putting his hands on her.
What we can do is to provide some sort of suggestions

So I think it could be a faulty battery, so first the battery should be checked.
If problems still persist, then electronic power supply failure might be possible

However, the equipment should be checked and this can be done by an ASP in your country
It would be desirable to communicate with these guys and ask for help

  • Memory card Toshiba does not on Satellite A200

    Hello.

When I turn on my laptop (Satellite A200) often, but not every time, I get a bar at the top of the screen that reads "Toshiba Flashcards (does not". ")"

Sometimes this can be removed by clicking on the Red Cross in the corner of the bar and after a few moments he does not disappear, but other times it stays there and there seems to be no way to get rid of him.

Can someone help me with this problem?
You can probably tell from what I am not a computer expert and a simple language would be most appreciated!

    Try this:

Updated the BIOS, which can be downloaded from the Web from Toshiba site
Uninstall the Toshiba Value Added Package
Download and install the latest Toshiba value added together on the Toshiba site

  • Keyboard/mousepad does not on Satellite 1110

I have an old satellite 1110. It is a dual boot with linux and windows XP machine. The Boot Manager is grub.
When I let the machine start the OS default without touching the keyboard at the stage of grub, about 70% of the time when the finishing of the machine to start the keyboard and mouse will be non-functional. However if I use the upper and down arrows to grub stage, 100% of the time to keyboard and mouse mat work correctly when the machine finishes booting.

I'm trying to understand why this would be so. It does not seem to relate to the involved BONE, just the physical manipulation of the keyboard. Is it a bad connection due to lack of chip, bios or other software problem?

    Hello

You mean that the new installation of operating system using Toshiba Recovery disk didn't?
Hmmm, in this case, it seems like a RAM problem

I searched a bit on the net about this error and found some info that might be linked to the faulty RAM memory.

You should try to verify if a single one single module of RAM is affected.
Otherwise you need to replace the two modules and then should try reinstalling the operating system.

Im having a problem with my dvd. I tried to burn my movies, music and my files on a dvdr or cdr, I tried DVD - RW and CD - RW but I do it every time gives error "d:\ is not accessible incorrect function". but when I try to watch a dvd movie or use my music cd, it does not work. [Edited by: admin on 4 February 06 20:23]

    Hello

Satellite M40X sounds new enough to have CDs of feature writing. Seems to me a HW question but you can try:
1 - Clean the blank CD with a cloth dry
2 - blow to the goal and do not forget that there is no dust
    3. you can uninstall the driver from
    -> Panel-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager-> DVD - RAM-> (right click) properties--> driver uninstall-> restarting your laptop.

If they do not contribute, you can contact a Toshiba authorized Service partner. You can find the one nearest to http://217.45.123.236/toshiba/resellerselector.nsf/WebServiceProv?OpenForm

If I understand your posting right, THAT HDD is troublemaker, so I think you should get it again or another HARD drive, set the BIOS to the default settings and try reinstalling the recovery image.

If possible, do this and post the results.

  • Screen does not work, Satellite A100-632

    Dear guy who read this,

After using my laptop for more information, then at 1 year, my screen today simply stopped working. Windows everything works fine, I can connect to the computer very well, but I don't see anything because the screen is black.

Vista login screen I get the screen to work by pressing the FN and F5 several times, then it works. But it does not fill the screen, after I enterd my password it windows finally meet my full screen.

You're probably thinking; how fixed you the problem right?

Good for evil, no.. Because I have to do this every time I restart the laptop, and I can't get into the bios (so I can't uninstall windows if his bankruptcy, for example) and I want to leave my laptop works properly and I'm the only one in my house who knows how it works, and I'm not the only user...

Sorry for my bad English, I hope you guys can understand the problem and fix it for me.

    Hello!

Not sure about your problem. My A100 runs on Windows XP Home edition, so... But I think that, as you can see sth on the screen, it must have sth to do with software, like bios, drivers, OS. Why not try to reinstall Vista, download the latest version of the bios? You say that you are not in the bios, but maybe you don't need? I think that when you insert the Vista CD, it should automatically start the program. If you still don't see it, try borrowing an external monitor and connect it to your laptop. Maybe this would help somehow.

My guess, some of the many users did sth bad :-). My mother-in-law never ceases to amaze me with his computer problems. Sometimes I don't know even how she was able to have done this to his new PC :-).

    Good luck!

  • Games - COULD NOT OPEN DISPLAY does not load satellite 1110-z14

I have a Satellite 1110-z14 (old I know!) and I had no difficulty in playing games in the past.
But recently my laptop will not load games (except those in line) and a message that says: ERROR COULDN'T OPEN DISPLAY, appears.

My laptop is now discontinued and I have trouble finding information on what could be the problem...

    Help, please!

You goggle for this error message: ERROR COULD NOT OPEN DISPLAY

I did it and it seems that this error message appears if you cannot connect to game servers.
Sorry, I m unaware of this, but in my opinion, the problem is a gesture of challenge related to the online game.
