BUG (input method): enter European umlauts is too complicated

It's different. If you chose to use English as the main language on the Meadow, the "Umlaute" is not the first character when you press on the button (a, o, u, s) and SYM.

BUT: there is a way much easier than on other phones: HOLD DOWN sym and then type a, o, u, s and THEN SYM release. But who needs 2 hands.

  • When Cantonese input method will be available in Windows 8?

I launch Windows 8 Pro. I noticed that there is no input method based on the Cantonese available on Windows 8 (Pro) at all. It is a huge disadvantage for the people of Hong Kong, who might want to use an input method based on the jyutping transcription (such as the MS Office 2010 EMI, "Cantonese of Hong Kong" entry). Cangjie, a structural input method, is not so easy to learn; the jyutping input-based (i.e., phonetic) is easier to learn.

The MS Office IME 2010 can be downloaded here:

But, as the page says: "cannot install this module on Windows 8 or Windows 8 server, because these operating systems include EMI newer than this module." When an input method "Cantonese of Hong Kong" will be available for Windows 8?

After the last update of Firefox, youtube videos do not play. The answers I've found are not relevant or too complicated.

Hi Cbella, YouTube is generally used with an HTML5 player, who is a player who does not use a plugin video in MP4 format (for example, it does not use the Flash plugin).

Now, I based this assertion on Windows, Mac may vary.

Could you do two tests for me?

    Test #1:

To verify which player you see (which does work), try a right click or Ctrl + click on the YouTube Player and check the "context menu" that rises. If it's the Flash, there will be a menu short, referring to the Flash on the last line. If you do not see that, if you get a regular menu of Firefox, it's probably the HTML5 player.

    Are what player you?

    Test #2:

If you open the following test page, which videos to play?

    http://www.quirksmode.org/HTML5/tests/video.html

    • The video "H.264/MP4" play?
    • The video "WebM" play?

    Thank you.

Also, you can check if your Flash plugin is up to date? You can use the site Mozilla Plugin check for this (please ignore the other plug-ins page wants you to update at the moment avoid making the situation more complicated):

  • Bug switching of keyboard input method

    Hello

I have a Windows 8 English installation on a computer with a German keyboard. I don't want every time that I accidentally hit the windows key and space... which often.

I went to the settings of language and used "delete" to get rid of the English provision, and it worked for a day. Now, however, he's back and I can't remove it because it has already been deleted.

In addition, another bug lays in the "text Services and input languages". Here, I removed shortcuts to change the language input and put on the page, but since the windows + space is not listed here it logically and unfortunately cannot be removed using this method.

    Thanks for any help,

    James

I have about the same problem. I use a German version of the Windows 8.1, but for my work, I use keyboards English and Russian, switching between them with standard shortcut keys.

It is not a solution, but a kind of way to get around. At least until the next time that you restart.

So. Whenever I restart the computer the German language automatically appears in the keyboard in the notofocation panel selector, while I switch between the three languages. However, it does not appear in the list of languages in the advanced language settings. To delete the selection, I have ADDED the German language in the list of language setting and then remove it from there. After that, she disappears in the notifications Panel.

Too bad that they don't it did not set for so long.

    一直按caps lock是很惱人的事。
Area of hk, apple return xz jx 一樣hi 我想要像其他輸入法(如ibus pinyin) space 來完成這段文字的輸入。

  • IME (Input Method Editor) keeps crashing my applications (in particular, subject to typing Chinese (Taiwan))

    Question:
Until recently, the IME (Chinese - Taiwan) worked perfectly for me, but yesterday when I was using it to type Chinese, it crashes my applications when I use it (eg. when I tried to type Chinese in Skype, Skype crashed. In IE, IE crashed, in Google Chrome, Chrome crashed, etc.).

    Info:
I use Windows XP Home Edition and my settings for Chinese (Taiwan) is Microsoft New Phonetic IME 2002a (Hanyu Pinyin is selected under the keyboard mapping).

    Things I've tried:
-Under Text Services and input languages, I removed the Chinese (Taiwan) under installed Services, apply the changes and readded so he still hopes once it will work. There can be no.
-I remember typing in Chinese successfully on 16 may, and so I used system restore to restore my system from May 15 in the hope that it will help, restarted the computer, but the same problem persisted.
-J' thought of uninstalling the IME, but didn't know how. Don't know if this is related, but according to the language support extra, the box to install the files for East Asian languages is grayed out, so I could not remove it and reinstall - don't know if this will help.

Any ideas? Please help as I tried Googling for answers, but nothing helps and I'm at my wits end. Appreciate it. Thank you.

Phonetic IME 2002 to 2010 update seems to have solved the problem for me at this point.

  • Disabling the shortcut key for Japanese input to "Kana Input" method

    Hello

With Windows 7, there is a rather annoying problem happens sometimes when I am typing using the Japanese keyboard layout, it seems I am struck somehow mysteriously a set of keys that snap into the layout of entry Romazi entry in Kana from the outset, the latter of which I know not my way.

This is a very undesirable breach I have to re - enter the language settings to reset it on the desired position, and I would like to know if there is a way to disable the keyboard shortcut, or at least be aware of which keys trigger that.

    Hello

To disable the keyboard shortcut, you can follow the steps on this link. You can make the easy solution by pressing the download area, or you can do the manual steps.

(Before doing this I suggest you save your file as you are about to change your registry.)

You can also try to check the Windows shortcut key you use this link.

  • Re:. The Japanese input method editor (ime)

Hello. for about a week now my Japanese ime in student outlook 2007 version crashes when I try to convert kanji to hiragana (Japanese Chinese characters). He eventually release but only after a few minutes. Because the IME is integrated into the language settings in windows 7 64 bit (on a satellite) it doesn't let me uninstall and reinstall. I tried to remove and re - add keyboard/IME Japanese but that doesn't work either.

I guess it went wrong, because I installed and then uninstalled other Japanese software so the converter now start by looking in the wrong place for the character. I tried to fix outlook, but who does not work either. All thoughts welcome.

    Thank you

    Gary

    > I guess that it was wrong, because I installed and then uninstalled other Japanese software so the converter now start by looking in the wrong place for the character

Maybe some software you have installed do a few worries now
Maybe you can affect the BONE at the beginning point before the installation of additional software.

You can set the operating system to the point in the early time to the rest of the way:
    * Start > all programs-> Accessories-> System-> system restore tools *.

    Which

    Hello

    You receive an error message?

    Method 1:
