Build of Windows 7 not genuine

I get these every now and then (for beginners... why?), but normally, I can fix by running the validator of down:

http://www.Microsoft.com/genuine/validate/DownloadValidationSupport.aspx?displaylang=en

However, this time, when I downloaded the validator, the installation failed, saying:

"Failure of the installation of the update. "- Error information 0 x 80070422 '.

According to other pages, I'm supposed to run this diagnostic tool and paste the info here, so...

What now?

In addition, don't know if it's related, but probably is... In recent months, I was not able to run windows update. I get the same code 80070422. Checked to make sure that services are enabled, they are, with the exception of software licenses (it is not on my list of services at all).

There are a number of problems that prevent your computer to run properly. Some of them may be self-inflicted. Many services have been disabled. It is not easy to see what overall effect this has had on the big picture. You seem to have no anti-virus software installation and the firewall has been disabled. You know outages of system (blue screen of death error) with the likely cause is defective or incorrectly installed. Overall it is a sad state of affairs.

The first issue is to determine if the installed RAM is defective.

Run the Windows 7 Memory Diagnostic tool and let me know the result.

http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/715-memory-diagnostics-tool.html

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer

The update installation failed. "- Error information 0 x 80070422 '.

This error is probably the result of disable Modules Windows Installer and Windows Update services. I'm not clear if disabling services is the result of you, the user, disabling services designed to improve slow system performance, or it is the result of malware infestation. A comment please?

    Dear MS,

In April 2014, I bought a product key of Windows 7 from a business online apparently good reputation (good reviews when searched online). Windows has a download and product key worked and I have not had a problem until a few weeks when the operating system has started posting messages saying: this copy of Windows is not genuine. I tried several times to validate without result.

I know I'm not the one with this problem.  Unfortunately, I do not yet have the solution.  My laptop was purchased new directly from Dell with Windows already installed.  I bought it in 2010 and Windows worked fine up until now.  If checked.  I'm computer illiterate, but I followed the instructions to validate diagnoses.  Looks like a Greek to me!  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thought that posting an update to this topic in case someone is looking for answers.  When I first posted, I found a ton of people on several boards of Directors of the messages having the same problem.  Hope this helps someone else.

I'm not a technology person, so I solved this on a fluke.  I have been restarted my computer and decided to launch in safe mode.  From there, I installed Windows again (I had tried this several times in normal mode and never succeeded).  For reasons unknown to me, it worked!  For a few days, I got tons of updates when I stop or start, but he worked like a charm.  I have not received a single error message, and it has been more than two months.  I hope that means, it's fixed, but I won't hold my breath.

  • Windows 7 - Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine

    Hello everyone.

Im a newbie here so I hope I get this right.
I have a question about this message on my desk to read "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine."?
I bought this Satellite c660 to Qatif in Saudi Arabia and now he's here in the Philippines.
My laptop is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. It asks for a product key and I can't find one. There is no product in the background key sticker and I don't know where to get that.
I ran a diagnostic and I hope this helps.

    > How can I get a copy?
If your laptop was initially shipped with Win7 preinstalled and you want to now order original Toshiba Recovery disk for your laptop that you can do it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
    >... where I can find a product key that I use to activate windows?
You can not find it. I put t understand your question. If you use OS Toshiba you n t need activation code, but if not you and if pre-installed OS is installed with the installation of Microsoft disk you need to pay for a valid license.

All the time, you're in the magic circle. You always ask the same question, but somehow, you don t read what other people write here. Please read another thread - http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=262518

  • "Build 6002: this copy of Windows is not genuine".

    Hello world...

I've had my TOSHIBA Satellite L40-139 for more than a year. She was purchased by PC World and came with a preinstalled version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. I don't have the disc that came with the laptop, but the Windows installed is genuine.

I went to install Vista Service Pack 2 after you download. I restarted my laptop only to find my desktop wallpaper disappeared and was replaced with a black background and the following text in the lower right of the desktop:

    Windows Vista (TM)
    Build 6002
This copy of Windows is not genuine

She was followed by a pop-up with two options, 'Activate now' or 'Activate later', followed by a pop up an error that says Windows must be reinstalled as a "unauthorized modification were made...". Please insert the CD or DVD. If I press 'Activate now' he's just another pop up that says I can contact TOSHIBA. If I click on the link it will just a standard screen for "help!"

I don't know what to do... I have the sticker intact COA product key and tried to enter, but she returned with various errors. It's like as soon as I installed service pack 2 I had problems. Yet once again, I don't have Vista or a toshiba recovery disk (I don't even know if it came with one). I tried to restore Windows, but it returns with the same screens!

    Help!

PS. is the Toshiba support line a toll-free number? Does anyone know a number that is free to call mobile phones? (I don't have a landline).

Your model of laptop is not delivered with the recovery disk, but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. In s manuals document clearly describes that you must fund recovery DVD only tool preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.

Version of the OS pre-installed (Toshiba recovery image factory settings) is definitely authentic and I really don t understand how it can happen. I mean thousands of people do the same update, and there is no other claim on similar problems.

Anyway, if you didn t create recovery disk you can try now is to reinstall the OS using the HDD recovery procedure. How to do this you can read in document http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm Toshiba FAQ
This will remove all HARD drive, extract second partition so if you have some important data backup.

If it will not let me know.

    Hello

Looks like you used the system after receiving no real message for 30 days. Can you connect in safe mode (press F8 at startup)? This might help: http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/252903-black-screen-windows-not-genuine.html

    Hello

That your laptop has a certificate of authenticity of Windows on the bottom of the laptop?

If it, write it down and then right click on the error message and choose activate. Activate by phone, that's what you use. It takes a little of your time to navigate the menu, but it is worth.

    Best regards

    ERICO

  • After the reboot, I get Windows Vista build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine, but the system... activation seems to be

After a restart/virus scan (after the large recent Windows Update Microsoft), I see on the background one right part of my screen:

Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine.

I looked at the system screen and it shows only: Windows is activated.

I ran Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool, and it shows:
    Validation status: genuine
    Validation code: 0

N/a for resolution state (probably because he thinks that the installation is correct).

Don't know what the issue is here?  Does anyone know a fix for this?  I would rather have not shut down the system after 30 days of work!
    Thank you!

According to the report that you have posted, you should not see a non-genuine problem - the report is clean.

If you are indeed to see a non-genuine notification, then is that from time to time, or is this all the time?

If it is present only from time to time, you have a race condition - and those can be a nightmare to solve, because they disappear as soon as you look at :) They are often caused by antivirus programs in conflict with other programs running

If it is there all the time, then try the following.

Vista license store is perhaps damaged or its data can be ruined somehow. Please try the steps below to re-create the store with the correct data.

    (1) open an Internet browser window.
    (2) type: %windir%\system32 in the browser's address bar.
    (3) find the CMD.exe file
    (4) make a right click on CMD.exe and select "Run as Administrator"
    (5) type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)
    (6) type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    (7) type: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat
    (8) type: cd %windir%\system32
    (9) type: net start slsvc
    (10) type: cscript slmgr.vbs - FLIR (it may take time for this will be complete, please be patient)
    (11) restart your computer twice.
    (12) you may need to enter you product key and activate it.

  • had my computer for 4 years and now bed screen Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine?

Screen reads Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine.

I had this for 4 years and no computer has ever seen this. I'm on anyway by clicking on "Activate later."

All the 'Help' forums I see suggest retype the product key. The sticker on my computer has a series of 20 characters of 5 letters and then 15 numbers without dashes or breaks.

When I retype it, on the second character (letter) he stops because the field says "invalid character": he wants a number when my product has letters.

In the system when I go to start. Computer. Properties of the system. He also says that I need to activate and has a product ID number with numbers and letters (5 numbers-3 letters-7 digit numbers 5) - but that doesn't work either. I don't know what product key to use because the two seem invalid now or my computer does not allow me to type the right pair...

    so far.

All the advice give me links that do not work, such as:

link does NOT-work window starts then disappears

http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012 this does NOT work either...

    Help!

Because my computer is more than 3, I can not yet ask questions by phone. Each application number for my service code that crashes then upwards on me are not covered...

Thanks for any help-i'm mystified as to how this could happen right now. I have not downloaded new programs recently...

I'm afraid to try to uninstall because I don't want to lose my itunes or personal files...

I guess I need to just unplug and get a flashlight, because I easily see not no sticker on my computer with that type of number... it seems crazy that the number is not available otherwise.

If the worst comes to the worst and you have a vista OS preinstalled, Dell, HP or whatever, you do not say, contact the manufacturer of your machine and ask them to send you a set of vista recovery disc and reinstall the operating system to how you bought your machine

normally, these recovery disks do not require an input key product on your part

and they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

and the same thing applies to that too; No product key entry required by you

    ________________________________________________________

but make sure you save all data 1.
