buildall. SH env: javac: Arg list too long

Hi, the difficulty building dbxml in SmartOS (opensolaris).

Building Berkeley DB for Java in a long javac command, the script breaks with the error:

env: javac: Arg list too long

make: * [db.jar] error 126

getconf $ ARG_MAX

1048320

Returns a high enough number - I have the same built on FreeBSD with a much smaller number.

Any suggestions on how to get this built, and what is the cause of the problem?

Thanks in advance!

WORK AROUND:

CD./dbxml-2.5.16/db-4.8.26/build_unix

create the dbsrcs.txt file that lists all the java source files that are listed in the JAVA_DBSRCS environment variable

It should look like this:

.. / dist /... /Java/SRC/com/Sleepycat/util/ErrorBuffer.Java
.. / dist /... /Java/SRC/com/Sleepycat/util/ExceptionWrapper.Java
.. / dist /... /Java/SRC/com/Sleepycat/util/ExceptionUnwrapper.Java
.. / dist /... /Java/SRC/com/Sleepycat/util/PackedInteger.Java
.. / dist /... /Java/SRC/com/Sleepycat/util/keyrange/KeyRange.Java
...

Save the file dbsrcs.txt inside the dbxml-2.5.16/db-4.8.26/build_unix directory

# nano Makefile

Find the line:

$(JAVAC) d $(JAVA_CLASSTOP) $(JAVACFLAGS) $(JAVA_DBSRCS)

and replace with

$(JAVAC) d $(JAVA_CLASSTOP) $(JAVACFLAGS) @dbsrcs.txt

While in the dbxml-2.5.16/db-4.8.26/build_unix directory, run make, just compile Berkeley DB only

Once completed, return to dbxml - 2.5.16 and run

./buildall.sh--enable-Java

Since Berkeley DB has already been built, the build script will see this and jump compiling Berkeley DB since it is already compiled!

    Hello

    I have Pavilion g6-2031se and of the last two days it takes too long to come to Windows. I faced this problem for the first time and I do not use my notebook for Skype, Facebook and only very light work. Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you

    @Ganga,

    No worries, I would like you to try a clean boot. This allows the computer to boot without unnecessary programs or offers to start with it.  When you open this document of croll to the section "How to perform a clean boot" once listed there to expand the section for your operating system to get the appropriate instructions.

    Once you have made the appropriate changes, restart the computer at least 3 times and see if you notice a difference not how long it takes to start.

    Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thank you

  • Identify too long to backup file names.

    Using Vista on my laptop and the complex file names are required because of the research that I do.

    When you run a regular backup to an external drive, I get an error message that some file names are too long for the files to copy, but no list of crime files is given.  I am informed to shorten them, but not how to identify them.
    Is there a quick way to find these files so that I can change the names?

    Hi John,.

    I just went to that link without problem using IE9 RC - but if you send you elsewhere to get the download, then maybe you'll have more success with the download page: http://www.parhelia-tools.com/products/pathscanner/Download.aspx.  It is the only near the top (or you can try the alternate).

    If specific filenames are not so long (assuming 260 is the number we need to worry and we are not quite sure of this), then it's probably the length of the path.  The path includes everything, like C:\Users\\Appdata\local\microsoft\temp\iooiee90939ntgngjoiga909ri4jt09049japgaopjgp\...\filename.doc and if this WHOLE thing is too long (260 or other), then it cannot copy or paste.  Chances are that these files were created by programs or automatically, not by you.

    My guess is that these are temporary files of IE (they tend to be very long) and if first delete you IE temporary files (Tools / Options / history / delete / don't check the Temp files and save them favorite boxes above, uncheck everything else for this test), then you find out that you don't really have the problem more.

    What is the external hard drive formatted in NTFS or FAT32 or FAT16?  If this isn't NTFS, I recommend that use the command convert to change to NTFS.  Not only is a better choice, but it can also solve this problem (although it's more a guess that based on specific research-, then it makes a difference with the size of the file and the file information, I saw say anything specifically made a difference in path length).  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Convert-a-hard-disk-or-partition-to-NTFS-format.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    You should take a look at your startup programs and decide what is really necessary and what is nothing more than useless clutter. There is nothing wrong with the startup programs, some may be really useful or even necessary for your personal needs. But keep in mind that many programs build to start when you start the computer and that most of them must not start when the computer starts, all they do is slow down your boot time and clutter of things when you're trying to solve problems, and some are downright harmful!

    I mean, have you really need things like real Planner and Gadwin Print Screen running all the time? These programs will run very well, even if they are not started automatically every time that you start the computer. Go to these programs and change/disable their boot option. Some may be difficult to kill for public assistance services can be useful when you try to control startup programs. Try CodeStuff Starter, it's safe and easy to use, I think you'll like it, download it here:

    Use AutoRuns to check axis start, Richard:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx>

    Use Cclenar-> tools-> start

    http://www.CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx>

    I can't tell you what to keep, startup items it is a personal preference, but pretty well all the startup items indicated by CodeStuff Starter are safe to disable, and changes are easy to reverse if you change your mind. Searches for items it shows you and decide whether or not these things are really useful or necessary. Some programs will be started at startup without your knowledge and over time, that list can expand to include useless parasites, part of good computer maintenance includes regular control of these startup items and the removal of the unnecessary.

    Suggest that you first spread malware as the cause of the problem by following these steps:

    I. - delete your temporary files

    Clean the system (compensation to all temp/tmp folders and included all the content offline, the tif browser, delete the cookies of compensation.)

    Do a disk cleanup. Click the Start button. in the search box, type disk cleanupand then in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup. Better and easier to use - ccleaner.

    Download the basic version (slim) via

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner/builds>

    The basic version (slim) does not contain the toolbar disgusted

    DO NOT USE ANY cleaning of the advanced options. DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY OR TOOLS. At least not for now.

  • Too long file names

    I searched this but have not found exactly the same problem

    I'm on a laptop with Windows 7.

    Recently, we changed our server to be online only.

    This means that all of our readers are now thanks to dropbox or something similar.

    A disc remained in my reader list.

    Initially, I had access to this hard drive, but could not edit the files and folders inside.

    Look, but don't touch.

    When the car started all the information on this drive was transferred to online readers AND an external hard drive.

    Which was not noticed immediately, was that some 150 file names were too long for each transfer.

    I still have access to these files.

    But when I try to open or to copy the files from the windows Explorer, it blocks.

    I tried to copy and paste, line of cmd, and several smart programs and I can't seem to get these files to copy, or even move.

    Copy / paste comes up with the error too long file name.

    I can however copy about 2 GB for other files without problem.

    The name of the file is certainly the question that all other files and folders can be copied to another drive.

    On the copy of the disc it comes up with the file name too long for these files.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • In Event Viewer, is it possible to see Destination path too Long

    I want to know if there is a way, in the event viewer, see the list of files whose names are too long.  I write down everyone who needs to be changed, but a log file that I could print would be much faster.  If I CUT and paste, then the long named files would remain, but it is a copy.  So, I must go back and find one by one.  Not having to write simply would make it faster.

    Thank you!

  • 'File name' error too long when you copy a folder to a DVD disc

    When I copy a folder that contains a large number of files on an external hard drive, I have no problem, but if I try to copy the same folder to a DVD disc, I get a message indicating that a file name is too long.  My first question is why do I get the message for DVD and not the external hard drive?  My second question is: How can I generate a list of files in my folder that have too long names? My second question is already other post on the forum, but there was no answer.  Is it because it is not possible to generate such a list?

    Thank you

    It depends on what is called the 'file system '. File systems are how files are stored on a disk. Many of them have limits on how long the total file path can be. DVD and external hard drives use different file systems.

    If you want a list of all the files in a folder, open a command prompt. Type this in:

    CD "C:\path\to\folder".

    and press ENTER. Replace path\to\folder with the path of the file in your file that you want to check to make sure this filepath is in quotes!

    Now type:

    dir /s > 'output.txt '.

    and press ENTER. This will tell the guest to make a list of all the files in this folder and in each subfolder, and then store in a text file. This will allow you to view the list and I hope to find the long file names. Once you have found the long file name, go to that file, and then change the name.

    Here is an example of the above commands. Let's say I have a folder named "foo" in the My Documents folder. I first type:

    CD "C:\Users\Entegy\Documents\foo".

    and press ENTER. Now, I want the list of files to be placed on my desk. Then I type:

    dir /s > "C:\Users\Entegy\Desktop\filelist.txt."

    And voila, I have a list of all the content of foo on my desktop files. Just make sure that your path ends with .txt and you'll be fine. And don't forget to put quotes around filepaths!

  • Shuttle value too long for use in LOV sql cascading

    Hello

    On APEX 4.2.2.0.11 & Oracle 10.2.0.5.0:

    I have a shuttle service set up as well as a select list with of LOV cascading.

    The shuttle shows organization name and returns a list of the IDs of the colon separated.

    The selection list shows the so-called events belonging to the organizations selected in the shuttle.

    The selection list is implemented as LOV cascading with the shuttle as a parent element.

    This works fine as long as the length of the shuttle point value does not exceed 4000 characters.

    If so, the LOV - sql select list will give an ' ORA-01704: string literal too long "-error on the instr function ().

    This is the query:

    Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE ORGS

    Join the LIFO ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DNR PART on (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join the TDR ON REGRET (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join the TEST TCT ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    where instr (': ' |: P1_ORG |) ':', ':' || OTE.ID | ') > 0

    order by 1

    Does anyone know how to make reference to the shuttle-value in sql, even if it is longer than 4000 characters?

    Well, I found a way to use LOVs cascading on page elements with values exceeding 4000 characters:

    Let's say I have a shuttle named P1_ORGANISATIE with "List of values" box, a dynamic LOV named "Source: lists of values Query" containing the value:

    Select NAAM as display_value, ID like return_value

    of NINEHAM

    order by 1

    If the number of records-NINEHAM is insufficient, the length of the value of P1_ORGANISATIE, which is a list of concatenated with colon separated digital ID, can exceed 4000 characters.

    Now suppose I have a list of selection called P1_TEST that is connected through "List of values"-> "En cascade LOV Parent article (s)" with P1_ORGANISATIE using a named LOV dynamics with "Source: lists of values Query" containing:

    Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE NINEHAM

    Join the AFDELINGEN ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DEELNEMERS DNR ON (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join TESTDEELNEMERS TDR WE (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join TESTEN TST ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    where instr (":" |: P1_ORGANISATIE |) '':'', '':'' || OTE.ID | '':'') > 0

    order by 1

    In this case, when P1_ORGANISATIE exceeds 3998 characters, you'll get an "ORA-01704: string literal too long"-error and the P1_TEST will show an element called "undefined".

    A way around this is possible because for a named LOV, you can use a "function that returns a sql query" instead of a simple sql query. In other words, we can apply in the context of PL/SQL and thus have maximum for expressions of 32767 instead of 4000 characters. In addition, it is possible to use the two APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE and APEX_COLLECTION.

    Setting "Source: lists of query values" on the LOV appointed to P1_TEST with the following code will work:

    DECLARE

    l_selected APEX_APPLICATION_GLOBAL. VC_ARR2;

    l_qry varchar2 (32767): =.

    "Select distinct TST. NAAM as display_value, TST.ID as return_value

    of the OTE NINEHAM

    Join the AFDELINGEN ADG ON (ADG. OTE_ID = OTE.ID)

    Join the DEELNEMERS DNR ON (DNR. ADG_ID = ADG.ID)

    Join TESTDEELNEMERS TDR WE (TDR. DNR_ID = DNR.ID)

    Join TESTEN TST ON (TST.ID = RDT. TST_ID)

    $1

    order by 1';

    BEGIN

    IF: P1_ORGANISATIE IS NULL

    OR LENGTH(:P1_ORGANISATIE)<=>

    THEN RETURN

    Replace (l_qry

    ,'$1'

    ,' where instr (":" |: P1_ORGANISATIE |) '':'', '':'' || OTE.ID | '':'') > 0'

    );

    ON THE OTHER

    l_selected: = APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE(:P1_ORGANISATIE);

    APEX_COLLECTION. CREATE_OR_TRUNCATE_COLLECTION (p_collection_name-online 'ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE');

    FOR id IN 1.l_selected.count

    LOOP

    APEX_COLLECTION.add_member (p_collection_name-online 'ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE'

    p_n001-online to_number (l_selected (id))

    );

    END LOOP;

    RETURN

    Replace (l_qry

    ,'$1'

    ,'join apex_collections ON APC (APC. COLLECTION_NAME = "ORGANISATIE_COLLECTIE" AND APC. N001 = OTE.ID)"

    );

    END IF;

    END;

  • Forms 10g + UTF8 - Item displays # when he's happy is too long

    Hello

    I am facing a strange behavior with Forms 10 g and NLS_LANG = UTF8.

    DB 11G withcharset in AL32UTF8 on Linux

    Forms 10G on Linux

    We are currently upgrading our DB 10 G DB 11 G + UTF8 form.

    After adaptation data DB 10G and 11G, we changed sementics BYTE in CHAR columns in DB 11 G.

    Migration worked well.

    Now we try to connect to our application in the form of 10G to the new DB 11 G + UTF8.

    First we were faced with the error ORA-01461 "can bind a long value only for insert in a long column".

    To resolve this error, we have clarified the NLS_LANG = american_america.utf8 in default.env.

    This problem is solved now.

    We have specified the following parameters when compiling:

    NLS_LANG = AMERICAN_AMERICA. UTF8

    Export NLS_LANG

    NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS = CHAR

    Export NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS

    The application works fine except a few ITEMs that display # when their content is too long.

    For example with a Varchar2 ELEMENT (5) length_semantics = NULL (if the compiler uses the NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS specified during compilation).

    -When I fill it with "xxxxx" it works very well.

    -When I fill it with "xxxxe", it displays "#". The ELEMENT behaves as in Excel when the cell data cannot be displayed as a whole.

    Any idea on how I can avoid this behavior?

    Thanks in advance.

    Tim.

    There is a bug in forms 10.1.2.3 for when the length of an element in BYTES is greater than the length of the CHAR data # are displayed.

    =>

    Length ('xxxxx') = lengthb ('xxxxx')

    but

    Length ('xxxxa')<>

    so you will get #.

    There is a single patch for this what number I do not remember. The patch is packaged in the latest available patch for forms #9593176 and #13095466 which will also give you the benefits of being able to run your forms 10 g with Java7 (even if she is not certified).

    It is a mistake to sqlplus...

    Have you tried that?

    begin
    func_j23k_TYPE_ADD( 'coR-EXECUTION-SUCCEEDED-XLS-PDF-HTM-TXT-CSV-XML-FLF',
      'co Reporting',
       'NOT',
       .....,
       ......,
       );
    end;
