Built in web cam stopped working - Satellite A200

The webcam integrated on my Satellite A200 stopped working yesterday and I don t know why. I have not recently installed new software, but it is not recognized when I use Skype or any other program. When you try to use the camera, an error says no camera is recognized or it's off.

I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled several times but it didn't help.
Please, does anyone have any ideas? (Vista OS).

Hello

Sorry, but it is not easy to say what the problem is here. I recommend you to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. I'm sure that you'll be able to reuse cam.

I cam on P200 and use it with Skype without any problem. I really hopr you will be able to solve this problem.

Good luck!

    Hi mate

To be honest, I would use a helmet because helmet still provides a better speak of quality.

But the internal MIC is part of the webcam and the microphone is controlled by the software of webcam too.
Please launch the webcam software and go to settings.
    Then, choose Audio tab.
Here, you must increase the volume to maximum.

  • VAIO Motion Eye Camera stop working

    Laptop: VGN-SR190E
Problem: USB Motion Eye Camera stop working
    OS: Vista Edition Home Premium

The Sony Visual Communication Camera died in this laptop. I want to talk about the "Motion Eye" webcam above the screen.

In the Arcsoft window, frame (window of the camera) went black, screen resolution went to 176 x 144 (QCIF), whatever that means.
In addition, no image using Windows Live Messenger.

Worked very well (image capture), then quit. Removed and reinstalled the drivers. No help. In the properties of the device, he says: "this device works correctly. Well maybe, but no picture.

What else can I do to fix this?

I can't stand Vista another day. I ordered Windows 7. I hope that its an improvement. Could install Windows 7 remedy? I guess I'll find out.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Phil

    Update: not working yet.

Error message in Arcsoft WebCam Companion:
'Webcam not found or does not work properly. Please click the Connect button and try again.

    Previous post:
No help from this Forum, but I got the Motion Eye Cam working again. He would sometimes work for a minute or two and then quit. I thought it would be connected USB so I downloaded the registry USB patch (and a whole bunch of other updates and more) and installed it. After the patch USB Webcam has started working again. I don't know if it was the fix, but its working now. The Vaio "Updater" program did not work (it should be updated as well) so I had no idea there were so much software upgrades available for this laptop. I highly suggest that you check the Sony Web site for downloads (if you did not) available for your computer. Good luck.

When I use windows live movie maker it gives me an error saying: can t record audio or video of the selected camera. Make sure that the device you are trying to use is properly installed and not currently in use by another program.

The microphone works well on Skype, but the camera does not open!

    Hello

Sound like there may be hardware problems so check with a real computer store
(the advent of services internal) or the Support of Advent (see links below).

    Troubleshoot camera connection
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

You probably need to reload the drivers of the device and any camera (general control software
included with the drivers and installed at the same time).

    Login as an administrator.

Control Panel - Device Manager - Imaging - write down of the brand and the model of camera - double
Click on it and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who cannot do anything
that MS is far behind the drivers of certification). The RIGHT CLICK on the camera - UNINSTALL
-REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver of the camera and other partners
the camera software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each
    pilot.

Manually look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers that are often
older than those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot can HIDE and watch
manually to see if their really is a more recent version (both system and the manufacturer of the device manufacturer
    sites).

  • Built in mic has stopped working on my Satellite Pro T130

    Dear Forum,

the microphone of my Satellite Pro T130 15F stopped working a couple of days at a time.

    It captures the white noise.
But he responds only to knock on the place where it is located next to the built-in webcam. It does not pick up normal voice or cry out to him...

Can't bring any changes to the software that could influence.

What I've done so far: deleted drivers, installed new, updated all Toshiba Software and downloaded and run all the stuff suggested to this problem.
And of course, it is not set to mute or upgraded to the bottom.

    Still no cure.
    What's next?

    Thanks much adavance.

Hmmm, it makes a static noise? Kinda sounds like hardware related issue
But check the microphone settings in the control panel-> sound-> recording tab
Here, you should see two entries; internal microphone and external microphone port.
The internal microphone must be turned on!

In addition, the internal mic belongs to the webcam. In the assistant webcam-> settings-> audio tab, you can increase the maximum microphone volume.

  • Satellite A350-20s - built-in microphone has stopped working

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me? My mic has suddenly stopped working. I was away for two weeks and when I tried to use the microphone it no longer works. It was working perfectly before.

When I go into Control Panel and watch settings for the microphone, he said his assets. I also installed the volume on the microphone and checked if everything is muted. But as far as I could see everything fine.

If I test the microphone the sound bar still gray and the microphone is not any sound recording. I tried a few of the instructions I found online, but nothing helped.
I mainly use the microphone on web with Skype calls.

It is a very frustrating problem. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The built-in microphone is the webcam and is a part of it. Which means it would be recommended to reinstall the driver for the webcam. You can download the driver for the webcam on Toshiba website for your laptop.

Can send you additional information about your operating system? You use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba or did you do your own installation of Windows?

I have an Asus laptop built in webcam. Normally, when I turn it on it has Visual recognition on it and today, instead of coming up like my cam being just about that came as a red circle with a line through it. Now me web cam does not work for MSN or Lifeframe, it won't work at all.

    Hello

    These two are USB devices.

Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the empty area - VIEW - show hidden devices

Look everywhere EXCEPT USB controllers for your devices and if find you them (maybe more)
one of each)-RIGHT CLICK and UNINSTALL for all instances. For camera and device of FP.

Now, moving to - right click - USB controllers UNINSTALL everything in category one at time EXCEPT the

Here is the similar procedure under XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.

  • HP Pavilion AIO: Camera stopped working for windows welcome

The new AIO Pavilion came back with Windows 10 months and I used facial recognition to open a session.  All fine until 1 week ago, when the home screen says now "preparing...". "and"can't turn to the camera. Use the PIn to connect.

If I go into RealSense, the camera works very well.  Windows settings for the camera are all lit, so nothing seems to have changed.

What is a recent update of Windows 10 which changed the signal to the camera?  If so, how I restire it?

    Hi there @DavidG6,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that your web camera does not work properly for connection purposes.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Assuming that it could be a recent update of Windows 10 which is the culprit, you can try using a computers HP - use Microsoft System Restore (Windows, 10, 8) to return to the level of before the problem appeared and see if it works now.  If so, then it is likely a change in software to your system.  Once you have determined that, then you can check: How to prevent Windows 10 to automatically download updated -howtogeek.com, prevent this set of updates.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • WLAN stopped working - Satellite X 200/N00, Vista Ultimate 32-bit (SP1)

When I bought this laptop earlier this year, everything worked fine without any significant problems. A few weeks ago but my WLAN connection has stopped working - more specifically, it does not get a valid IP address of the router.

Laptop is a Satellite X 200/N00 (PSPBUA). OS is Vista 32 - bit Ultimate edition (SP1).

It was working fine until the point where it stopped working. The router itself still works fine - I used the connection with a completely different laptop wireless since having the problem on the Toshiba.

This seems to be a fairly common problem of Vista, but so far all that I tried did not get me anywhere.

The router is a D-Link DSL-G604T. I've updated to the latest version of the firmware, but it made no difference.

In Vista, I have disabled IP v6.

I installed the latest version of the Intel (v12.1.2.1) wireless driver. Material passes all tests, the only thing that fails is to get the IP address.

I don't know why the wireless connection just stopped working - better that I myself can remember, I had not installed any new software or updates just before stopping work. It doesn't seem to be a hardware failure.

One thing I've yet done, is test the connection with a completely different wireless router (for example, to a public access point).
It may be interesting, but I have not really useful, since I need to make it work with the router!

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

There are several reasons why the IP address cannot be obtained.
In the first case, you should check if your firewall is disabled or doesn t prevent IP address of reception.
Second, you should check if the TCP/IP protocol is set to automatic
You can find these settings in the properties of TCP\IP Protocol.

Last but not least, I would recommend disable all security settings on the router and tries to establish a WLan connection.
Please check if the Mac address filtering has been disabled, disable WLan encryption and check if the right SSID is being used.

If it will be possible to establish the WiFi connection you could activate step by step single WLan security on the router settings.
