I would like to know if anyone has the issue of burning a cd to play on a cd player without using the burner of the wave.  I have a situation where I wave recorder on a logic 9 Studio Pro disc but I don't want to install it.  I wonder to install any element, because it can cause problems.  I prefer to bounce from the finder, but when I do the cd will not play on a cd only through the computer player.

    Hi Betty942,

If you burn a disc of data with music files and it plays in your laptop, home or a car CD player, check the following:

    • Your CD player may not support playback of CD or data DVD discs. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • The CD can be burned to media, such as CD - RW, which is not compatible with the CD player. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • Your CD player may not support playback of the type of music files burned on the disc (WMA or MP3). Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • The songs may be protected by copyrights. Other computers may be able to acquire usage rights and play the songs if they have a connection to the Internet, but devices such as radio cars and portable CD players will not be able to acquire these rights, so protected content will be unplayable.
    • The CD cannot have been closed when it burned. You can usually solve this problem by adding more songs to the burn list, then you are close to the maximum capacity of the CD. Then, try to burn the list again for a new CD.
  • Burned DVD will not play on a DVD player

I downloaded a 22 minute video I want to burn to a DVD in my DVD player.  I tried on the DVD-R and DVD + R.  They burn the disk but will not play on the DVD player.  The error message indicates that the reading is not available on this disc.  I used the windows search support to problem solve on my own, but have had no success.  I made sure that I am selecting the option of CD/DVD drive to use the ISO image format.  I entered my option and I have no filters.  I have the video on NTSC format since I'm Pennsylvania / U.S..  I have not tried burning on slow or average speed because it burns the DVD without problem it just will not playback on the DVD player.  What do you recommend as my next plan of action for troubleshooting.

I guess that the video is not DVD compatible Mpeg2.  According to the DVD player, some will play other formats, too.  If there is no program for video on the computer, try Windows Movie Maker (free) to see if the video will too be converted to standard DVD Mpeg2.

  • series E200 / burn files recorded on a sound cd play on any cd player

I need to know how to take my Sansa (off FM) recorded files and burn them to a cd.

I need 2 instructions, one for Windows xp and Vista.

(I have Vista but I bought a Sansa for a gift and they ask me how to do this and they are running windows xp).

I especially had problems burning CDs on this new computer with Vista.

    Help, please!

    Tawrena

I have no idea how to do it with Vista. XP is pretty easy, although the details will depend on what program allows you to burn CDs.

You say you're a beginner, so I'll take it in small steps.

    1. use the supplied cable to connect the Sansa to a USB port on your computer.

    2. go into 'My computer' (it will be in the "Start" menu or on your desktop) and locate the Sansa. Double-click it to open it.

    3. double-click on "internal memory".

    4. double-click on 'music '. This will show all the music files you have stored on the Sansa.

At this point, you can choose to burn directly from the Sansa or to create a separate folder containing everything you want to burn. The burner will have ways that you use to specify what files you want to burn. You can tell them right out of the 'Music' on the Sansa file or a separate folder (which I recommend)

    5. to do this, right-click on the desktop (and hold down) and slide on 'new '. The menu dialog box drag on 'File' and release the mouse button. You will see a new folder on the desktop icon and it will be called "New folder" (of all things!). Double click on it.

    6. you have now two open folders - folder 'Music' of the Sansa and the "new folder" (which will be empty).

Find a space on the blue bar at the bottom of the screen where there is no icon or click here, right and rectangular 'button '. Drag "Vertical mosaic Windows" and release the mouse button.

7 left click on one of the files in the folder "Music" you want burned and, while holding down the mouse button, drag on the "new folder" and release the mouse button. The file will be copied into the "new folder".

    8. Repeat this until the "new folder" contains all the files you want to put it on CD.

In fact, there is a shortcut, you can use here. Left click one of the files you want in the 'Music' folder and then hold the 'Ctrl' key pressed on the keyboard while you click on others. You can select multiple files in this way.

After that that they are all out highlighted, CTRL key and left click one of the highlighted files once and hold down the left button of the mouse down by dragging the entire cluster highlighted on toward the "new folder".

9 point your program CD burner to the new folder and specify that you want to burn all of the files it contains. The burner program must have some kind of gauge that tells you how completely files you chose will make the record. If you selected that too, you may need to remove some before you can proceed with the burning.

If you have Vista Home Premium or ultimate, you have Windows DVD Maker included.
It must be that. Only way to burn DVDs and play on regular DVD players.
If you have another version of Vista, I'm afraid, you go on the web and find a 3rd party DVD burner.

  • Will not play DVD on DVD player [using a Mac]

Hi, I'm a screener for my movie with again. I can it burns very well and he plays well in my computer and on my Samsung DVD player but my Dynex XDVD2 player plays. He plays other DVDs I have. I ran into this before when I burn a DVD and give it to someone and he does ' t play in their DVD player. This could be a very important search tool and I want to make sure he plays on any DVD player, this person has, because if it doesn't it's perhaps a missed opportunity.

I tried to burn on the settings by default and then tried a lower bitrate (6.0 MB/sec) and the lower burning speed (4 X). Still will not play in my Dynex XDVD2 reader.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

    What brand of DVD?

As a test... say still create an ISO on your hard drive and use Imgburn to do the actual writing

Read http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1322583 for notes on installing Imgburn WITHOUT any add-ons toolbar... ImgBurn to use slow burning speed your drive and use the media... I put my burning speed to 1 x and let Imgburn adjust to the real minimum

    Hello Lackyboi,

    ·         How you try to burn the pictures on your CD?

    ·         What is the burning software CD that you use to burn the discs?

I suggest you burn your photos using Windows Media Player.  You can read this article which will give you information on burning media with Media Player:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/burn-a-CD-or-DVD-in-Windows-Media-Player

    1. in Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.

    2. in the Options dialog box, on the devices tab, click the name of the reader of CD - R or CD - RW you use and then click on the properties button.

    3. in the Properties dialog box, under the recording tab, select a slower write speed.

  • I burned music from my computer to a CD - RW. Now I can play the CD in my computer, but it won't play on my CD player.

I burned music from my computer to a CD - RW.  Now I can play the CD in my computer, but it won't play on my CD player.  Any suggestions?  Is there a problem with the help of a CD - RW on a CD player?  I would like to know what format would be best universally to play in a CD player.

    Any help please!

original title: Burning CD music computer

Some CD players cannot read the CR - RW, especially older. Check the documentation of players for the type of files, it can read.

What you burn as - CD music or data (mp3 files). Yet once, some players older cannot read data discs (mp3).

The best universal format is to burn a music CD.

CD - RW has only need to put in shape if they have already been used and have given written on them.

Everything you do and you choose, always make sure that the disc is finalized IE. do not burn as a multisession. Once more, the older players cannot read a multisession disc.

BTW, here is a better alternative to WMP:

  • My photos that I burned to a disc will not play on our DVD player.

I downloaded my photos from my camera to my computer using Windows Photo Gallery.  I have used an 52X700MB Memorex CD - R drive and burned pictures of her.  The disc will work on my computer but when I put it in the DVD player attached to our TV to see the pictures, it gives me this message-cannot read this disk.  I made the disc in the neck that worked well, but lately, I'm not having any luck to work.  Can someone help me please?  Thank you, Sheryl

I don't know what you were doing in the past who would work on the normal DVD player.

I know, if you want to burn image files or videos from computer to dvd dics and be able to play in any regular DVD player, you will need to do this with Windows DVD Maker.

    Excerpt:
Windows DVD Maker is an application included in premium editions (Home Premium and Ultimate Windows Vista, and Windows 7 Home Premium) and editions that is designed to allow the creation ofDVD movies that can be played usingDVD reading or on a stand-alone consumerDVD player software.

I'm not sure if it will work (he says he supports Joliet and Joliet is supported by MAC OS X): http://www.freevistafiles.com/NCH-Swift-Sound-Software+Express-Burn-CD-DVD-Blu-ray-Burner.html for the software andhttp://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macos/8017 for the confirmation of the MAC support for Joliet (although not all versions without additional software on the MAC except where it is included in MAC OS X.  The software comes with a free 14 day trail (so there is no financial risk and you get to check it for free).  This version of Express Burn Plus includes a trial of 14 days, the DVD recorder but after after 14 days, you can continue to use the CD burner for use no commercial free (but if you want to burn DVDs after that it costs $49.95 more to reactivate this feature).  I could not find any freeware that would do this (unless you can get by with CD and do not need to burn DVDs - it's free.  Vista cannot do.  There is no Microsoft product I know who can do it.  I couldn't find yet another option to provide you (and I spent almost an hour to research - I'm a little obsessed with the search for a solution).  And I mean EITHER DVD or CD (there were two, but they were not compatible with Vista).

Again, it should work with MAC OS X, but earlier versions will need additional software to allow them to read Joliet (However, at first glance, it seemed that this software was readily available if I honestly did not check - read the second link on MAC support for Joliet for more information and then you can search for "Support of Joliet for MAC" or something like that on Google or Bing (or your friend may-) apres_tout you are doing most of the work and provide records him) he or she has to find and install everything what is necessary according to the MAC version.

I hope this helps and I hope you can get CDS only then it will be free (you did mention CDs in your post, but maybe you just failed to mention DVD).
