burned the first dvd, then put in the next disc, got the error, encode again

After 5 hours of encoding of home movies I'm transferring to dvd I burned the first disc, no problem. He says, "make another copy DVD", so I put in another disc and it said some sort of error so now I have to encode these 5 hours of movies once again. Is there a way to get around this and I want the discs to play on a normal dvd player connected to a TV. If I do not use the windows dvd creation do not play DVDs on tv. Help, please!

The following alternative may be worth a try...

It would be easier and faster to create an ISO image
the finished DVD and then burn the ISO image as
multiple copies as you wish.

First... just a suggestion... using a slow burn speed
produces a more reliable copy...

The freeware ImgBurn can create an ISO Image
that allows to burn copies. Once you have the
image created... you can use it to burn as many copies
as you need.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)

This way the files do not have to be re-encoded with each engraving.

I'm trying to burn a DVD with Windows DVD maker. It is the fourth I've done and the previous ones were all OK.

I can't burn the DVD, I tried both types of disc and made about 10 attempts today.
When I try to burn it starts OK then I get about 34% and get an error message

I had two different error messages, it says "cannot create the DVD error unspecified.". "
The other says "cannot create DVD catastrophic failure"

As Akuma wrote, it can be a problem creating Windows DVD and has nothing to do with the functionality of optical disc drive. It is good to check the updates.

  • Canon MP620 install launches the error message "Could not load any file of resource".

I reinstalled Windows XP on a fresh partition a few days previously.  I applied SP3 and all updates of windows until no updates are available.  I applied the motherboard and video drivers & s/w.  Windows updates applied an update to the CPU driver, if I'm not mistaken.  I didn't have many other things still installed at this point beyond Panda, office and a few utilities simple, affluent (Notepad ++, Total Commander, etc - things without installs pretty simple).

When I try to install the printer driver Canon MP620 (md8l-victory-mp620-1_04 - ea24a.exe, for use on local network), after the one the switch over and half dozen clicks later software is about to install but then get the following error:

    INSTALLATION PROGRAM. EXE

Unable to load a resource file.

I contacted Canon support.  Not surprisingly, they said it wasn't their problem and that my system was to blame.  To be honest, I was able to run the same configuration file, without getting that error, on another machine.

... Any other relevant details of the _potentially_...

I already had a problem with es.dll (do not have the details on me).  I got an error message (twice) which suggests that it might be corrupted, so I ran sfc/scannow.  After clicking on several attempts on my original Windows XP disc in the analysis, it finally finished without reporting problems or corrective action.  Never seen the error once again since.

    ... then...

I can't find all the other tracks on the internet that take me somewhere.  I used to be quite a geek, but I think that I'm not dumber as I get older.  Without a solution, I can't use this printer.  I need to use it as both a printer and a scanner, so I would use Canon software provided.  Can anyone suggest it please what else I should try?

Other details which may be relevant:

-Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600); the system is up to date with windows updates

-You try to run md8l-victory-mp620-1_04 - ea24a.exe (network for printer Canon MP620 multifunction driver) downloaded fromhttp://www.canon.ca/inetCA/serviceDetail?m=load&id=5&sid=27&mid=0002200452&type=D&opt=1

-I have not found a driver for Canon in the 'Add printer' wizard standard who recognized the printer.

    Hello

    ·        What version of the XP operating system do you use? 32-bit or 64-bit?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/823447

It could be that an application is in conflict with the installer. I suggest to perform a clean boot on the system, then try to load the drivers from the printer and check if the problem is resolved.

  • Manufacturing recovery disks when the computer hangs when burning the DVD the first time

I bought a new desktop computer HP Desktop Core I-7.  When I first connected, I started to burn the recovery disks.  The problem is, the first burned disc and then the computer locked up before burning DVD 2 and 3 and had to be restarted.  Now, I can't complete the game of recovery disks.

The good news is that I have used the first disc to access the recovery partition on the hard disk to rebuild everything, but now I did put a good recovery.  Can I fix?  Or do I have to hope that my drive will never block?  Can I save the partition of subsequent restoration of a hard disk crash?

I firstly you suggests to save the project to your computer, and then try to burn on a DVD at a slower burning speed.

Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

1 back to adding photos and video to the DVD page and then click on Options.
    2. in the DVD burner speed box, select medium or slow.

Have been able to translate what I wrote in the numbered validation 1? There's a translate button in the bottom right of each message. Just don't combine English and Spanish in the post. Must there not having that one language in the post of the button translate work. Do not know why. But that's the way it seems to be.

Given that you can't burn your Timeline on disk or on the record, it seems that the problem is probably in the timeline content somewhere.

  • Why is the addition of a movie menu stops burn me to DVD

I have usually no problems burning to DVD, on my iMac (El Capitan). But by making a new new video does not work. I've used the workaround recommended by Steve G. It works very well, even using EP to burn the folder into a new project. But this does not seem to burn the menu screen, I just get the timeline. So I add to the new model of simple standard menu with my own video resized background, which is also used in the video. Then it breaks. It encodes OK but fails to put anything on disk internal fault in the same place at 4 percent of Burns, with the same software error, the original version of the video or the folder. It seems that he does not like the menu. Chris

    Chris

    Thanks for the replies.

I see a flag with us in details. Classically the cleat at the end of the last file Timeline (or very near the end of the last file chronology) causes burning in chess. It's there is no need. If you have not already, please remove it and let us know the result. Adobe says have eliminated this problem for a long time in the first elements 14.1.

If you have a project that you have applied a disc menu and you burn it to disc or record, the disc menu should be there.

For DVD-VIDEO, look in the VIDEO_TS folder and locate the file named VTS_01_0.VOB. Who should wear on the disc menus. The video file DVD itself usually begins with VTS_01_1.VOB.

Thank you for the important troubleshooting information.

You put too much on a single disc DVD spec'd to 4.7 GB / 120 minutes and compromise the quality of the final product NTSC DVD-VIDEO on a DVD disc widescreen by doing this. You should work with a not too much lower than the max 8.00 Mbps throughput. If you want to try to get everything on a single DVD disk and your Player supports DVD disc double layer, then use a DVD disc double layer in burn it to disc. The DVD double layer is spec'd to 8.5 GB / 240 minutes. That might work for you.

Your chances for a better quality product are significantly increased by

    1. divide the project on two discs DVD-R 4.7 GB / 120 minutes

    or

    2 put the project on a DVD-R disc 8.5 GB / 240 minutes.

If you try the project two discs DVD-R 4.7 GB / 120 minutes, consider the following scenario. Take your project current 2 hours and 9 minutes and make a copy of it (first elements Editor File Menu/save a copy). Then the copy to change the contents of the 1/2 and burn the rest with a menu appropriate to disk. With the other copy, modify the content of 1/2 and burn the rest with a menu on the disc.

But I suspect that the of DVD double-layer disc should be your answer if your Player supports. Most should.

If please consider and let me know if you see problems in the proposed plan.

    Thank you.

So, I burned the "no menu" version to another DVD, that worked, then the version of menu, with no cleat to a third DVD, which reads perfectly.
