  And you can install it on two computers (can be a mac or windows / Mac or / or windows).

  Hi everyone, I was looking on buying a used iMac 21.5 "mid-2011 for me for about $500. I would use it mainly to the type of documents and go online, so I was wondering if a 2011 model would be good, because my brother has a MBA 2011 and it works perfectly. I am currently a student in the second year at the College and hope that this iMac should continue to work for maybe 3-4 years. What do you think guys? Here are the specs:

  Well. I would buy it only if I knew that the seller fine - buying a computer 5 years means that the hard drive and map logic both malfunction of all hard drives not sooner or later. Logic board replacement is very expensive. If I don't know the seller, I wouldn't spend more than $300 or I would like to make an appointment at the Genius Bar and I have the material tested with their equipment to see if everything is in good shape.

  Not sure on the RAM you installed - you are NOT 20 GB; In my view, that the default value is 4 GB. If you want to run the latest top OS, better to get more RAM (8 total would be nice).

  And, finally, the seller must remove any OS version downloaded from the app store, due to the fact that it is only authorized to him, non transferable and attached to his Apple ID forever. It must provide the original installation discs.

  After you have entered the world of 'Apple' OS in 2008 and having owned a late2008 iMac at home and an early 2009 to the Agency, BOTH died for the same consequences (grilled to the graphics card), I'm about to buy a new mac, but I'm a little scared...

  I can either follow the route VERY EXPENSIVE to have an Apple display monitor and a MacMini risk or my ass again and try to get an iMAC 5 k...

  Given that we are talking about 5 k. error even 4 k... goal 5 k!... I can not even think how hot this basterd must get! especially when little game (I just play Hearthstone actually, no big 3D games!)...

  So I would like to hear some tips here... I would like to use it mainly for office and 3D related stuff, and some video editting, nothing ultra pro, but I still need a "quick answer"...

  What I don't want, it is to know that I need to trash a computer 3kUSD a few years later, simply because the (expensive) graphics card decides to commit suicide (again!).

  I know that for some time the fiascos of welding 2008/2009 on the graphics of cards chips so any input on these would be also welcome!

  It is this EAujourd today or did Apple has learned the lesson?

  FWIW, 7 to 8 years is not "a few" years in terms of computer.

  I bought an iMac late 2015 5 K and I really can't say if the graphics card will still work in 2024. I can say that I am not worried about it.

• Buy new Imac tips?

  Back just from the genius bar and the verdict is in: my faithful Imac hard drive 2008 is a failure.  It works always kind, but after using the machine for a while, I get the endless beach ball and just slows down to a crawl.

  So, I think to buy a new one rather than spend the money fixing the old machine.  Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money to spend, so now I look at Ebay auctions to see if I can find a good used Imac it.  I want to upgrade and get a newer version, if possible, but ideally, do not spend much over $ 300-400.  Maybe more if it's really worth.

  I'd like to be able to get an Imac which will take place at El Capitan and hopefully have the ability to upgrade to newer versions of operating as well, if they are available.  Man alone is under Snow Leopard, which will help soon is Chrome.  It would also be good to be able to run later, or at least near latest - versions of the software. I might consider getting Photoshop, for example, and Final Cut Pro X, that doesn't work at all on my old machine. I was watching some: i5 IMac Mid 2011 21.5 "MC309LL/A 2.50 Ghz 500 GB 4 GB of Ram more who seem to go around $ 350-450 and seem very good.

  Or I might also consider an old computer with an older but faster processor?  Or newer of the subcontractor, the better, no matter how fast? What graphics cards, for something like Photoshop or FCPX, a newer computer would be preferable to an older one?  An old computer can be cheaper overall, so if he does not have much difference in performance, it might be a better choice.  Or if I can get an old one that has been a very expensive model when it sold first, it might be all as good as a cheaper, more recent version.

  In any case, looking for an entry before I decide what to do. As my old computer still works, I can have at least a little time to find a good model. Also consider a still newer than 2011 model, if it would make a big difference.  And does anyone know a good, trusted seller on Ebay who may have a lot of Imacs available?

  Well, I would only buy a used computer from someone local or company that offers insurance. I wouldn't trust anyone on ebay with a computer; first of all, you don't know what form the machine or hard disk and other components would be in and they seem to everyone trying to sell with the latest OS that violates the license terms. A needs of Mac used to be sold with the operating system initially provided with which means that the seller must wipe the drive and reinstall the original OS. It's the only way they can separate the machine with their identifier Apple or you will not be able to reinstall or update applications. Then, ask them if they will sell it with the original OS - if it's Snow Leopard or earlier, they should give you the installation discs. If it's Lion or later, there are no disks and they need use internet to go back to the original OS.

  Also, don't forget that the new iMacs cannot be upgraded later (only the RAM on 27 "), so you are stuck with what you have. So, ask lots of questions and be very careful. If you get it locally, try to see if you can take it to the Genius Bar for an assessment.

• Should I waive Bestbuy and buy my Clip + online?

  Its been 3 days as the supposed to exit the Clip + at normal retailers and there is still absolutely no sign that the Clip + is even anywhere outside Bestbuy. Despite this, when I asked if the bestbuy here at Kohler (Wisconsin) had one, they had no idea what it was. I guess if Bestbuy here never gets the clip +, they only provide 4 GB because that's all they have online. It's even worse since the half of the reason why the Clip + is first place was to boast of its massive 8 GB of capacity (for its size). Do you think I should give up the thought of Bestbuy never get a 8gig model? The only reason why I'm asking because I didn't want to not pay more than the price of the retail and then wait for shipping, but if I have to in order to get a 8 GB model, I would.

  This brings me to the part 2 of the question... Lets say I order online and decide extra $ 15 isn't really bad for shipment the next day. Is this useful? and if someone ever ordered something with expedition the next day, how long did you really get your (number of days) and the time of day (just curious)...
