By aligning the strokes

AICS2, leopard

Hi people,

Align the stroke in the STROKE palette only works intermittently. The first time I align the line, it works... usually. On the next try, no dice.

I trashed the Prefs. Still no dice.

I just tried to create a new layer and then aligning stork... MISSPELLING. I leave you by aligning the storks to genetic engineering... by aligning the line works every time on the new layer.

Is it a glitch in CS2? Fortunately, the new layer is OK for this project. But is there anything else I can do to get different race alignments on the same layer?

Thanks in advance.

Toni

(save a few cents for CS4 update)

Hmmm... Can't reproduce here on AI 12 (CS2) running on OS 10.4.11.

I see that you have trashed prefs. I guess you also tried restarting base. Maybe the other old standby: just paste it in a new document?

You have updated to 12.0.1? This question is not listed amongst approach them, but it might do the trick.

  • Align the STROKE problem

    Dear all,

    I created an art brush two colors that I use to add a stroke to a path that is not closed (it's just a bandaged line). However, I hold out to be inside the line (the alignment of race options are grayed out). Is there anyway to control the alignment of a line on a path not closed?

    In addition, the projecting cap option does nothing, but I need the race to throw a little.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Alex

    Drag the brush in the brushes Palette and drop it on the artboard. This will be a group. The object the most backward in the group will be the invisible rectangle. Select and change with the white pointer. Then select the entire group once again, AltDrag it and fall back into its place in the Palette shapes. The brush will be updated.

  • align palette: possible to equal spacing between the edges of the stroke not only fill edges.

    right now align palette, you can choose an equal spacing between the edges of fills, as shows of lower rank, the top row shows the alignment and spacing is possible between the paths of shots, not their outer edge. So I hope that we can also apply an equal spacing between the outside edges of the strokes, without having to convert them into fillings for CS6

    You can do it now. GoTo preferences/general/and check "use Preview Bounds ' and try again.

  • Creating an order of the strokes for Japanese fonts

    Hello. I am a novice with Amnesty International, using CS4 on Windows 7.

    I created spreadsheets to show the order of the strokes for Japanese fonts. My goal is to design a spreadsheet that shows the police followed some versions from the same thing that the user can trace on the practice of the police of drawing. The faded version will be the order of the strokes shown around his design, and features should have an arrow indicating the direction.

    I can create a line with an arrowhead without any difficulty (#2 in the image below), but some of the Japanese fonts are complex and I want also to illustration drawn path to be as close in angles and degrees as the original font.

    In the image below, I reproduced the first version of the faded police, created a glimpse of it, removed the unwanted paths and makes a few minor paths to better reflect updated her trace the path around the real race (#1). Race #2 was created using a line, then effect > esthetics > add arrowheads.

    stroke-order1a.jpg

    When I try to apply the tips of arrows for other paths to the #1 race (the rear 'j'), the object fills up even if only the line is assigned a color and the fill is set to empty.

    stroke-order1b.jpg

    It is possible to select a font, create it to paths, delete the unwanted points and then convert the remaining line so that arrowhead may be attached?

    Is it easier for me to create trails of race with arrowheads for fonts?

    Thank you

    Buck,

    At least for relatively simple forms, you can:

    (1) create a copy of the character to it before, possibly the lamest original and lock it, continue with the copy;

    (2) type > vectorize and trace release where appropriate;

    (3) cut the path so that you get both parties opposite, outside/inside, or equivalent, with the same number of anchor Points (you can add one or a few, to match to);

    (4) set the mix a little and aligned to the path and create mixed, object > blend > Expand and keep only the center lane.

    (5) using a color of your choice and effect > esthetics > add arrowheads.

    This should give you a path of the Center colored with an arrow on the paler character possible.

  • align the cells with shared values

    3.6.1 the numbers

    I would like to compare two columns and align the cells, if they are equal. Ideally, I would like to include the adjacent cells in the second column in the alignment.

    Example:

    Run the formula (if possible) to format the following text:

    As follows:

    Hi cnickflight,

    Easy to do by transferring the data to another table.

    Table 1 contains the original data. I reduced the names of fruits to three letter codes to reduce type them, but this does not change the process.

    Column A of table 2 contains a formula that copies the existing data in column A of table 1 and insert null strings when there is no data in the table 1.

    The formula is entered in cell A2 and filled down.

    Table 2::A2: = IF (ROW () −1 > COUNTA (table 1::A),"', SHIFT (table 1::$A$1,ROW()−1,0))))

    Fill until the end of the column.

    Columns B and C contain a VLOOKUP formula. The formula is the same in the two columns, with the exception of the number indicating which column of the table, the returned value must come. The version of 'testing' of the formula in B2 is shown. When filled to the bottom, this formula should copy the names of fruits where they are both on the table 1, in the line that they appear in column A, and display a triangle of error in the lines where there is no name in column B to the one in the column (and in the rows where column A is empty). The error message for each of them should be "VLOOKUP couldn't find the requested value."

    Table 2::B2 (trial version): = VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C, 1, FALSE)

    (FALSE appears in the formula as 'exact match' editor)

    If the behavior is as described, add IFERROR before VLOOKUP, and , "") after the closing parenthesis to match the 'final version'. " (See "why two versions? below.)

    2::B2 (final version) of the table: SIERREUR = (VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C,1, FALSE),' ')

    2::C2 (final version) of the table: SIERREUR = (VLOOKUP ($A, table 1: $b$ C,2, FALSE),' ')

    Fill both until the end of their respective columns. Results should now be as shown above.

    Note: Why two versions?

    Function SIERREUR is ideal for use as a trap for the error, but it acts on all errors, not only the one you plan to trap. Best practice is to add to this trap only if you are sure that the formula generates other error messages that awaits you and using in this case we know VLOOKUP, who has been charged with finding an "exact match" will throw an error when it does. Function SIERREUR catches this error and puts a string anywhere in the cell, making it appear empty.

    Kind regards

  • Align the two signals and measure the Phase Shift

    Hello

    I do an experiment in which I use the NI USB-6221 DAQ card. The jury is able to make 250 k samples/second. I want to measure two voltages in a circuit and find the phase shift between them at frequencies between 1 and 10000. First I ouputted a wave sinusoidal frequency variable through the Commission and applied to a test circuit. Then I used the Board to measure the two tensions consecutively (thus reducing the maximum sampling frequency at 125 k). I used the signals align VI and measured the two phases and then calculates the phase shift (VI attached in Phase 1). It worked well for the test circuit I built in which the phase shift went way logarithmique.20 degrees ~84.5 degrees and then stabilized. At frequencies above 5 000 Hz phase shift must have remained constant, but it varies more or less 1 degree. When the phase shift is 84.5 degrees, present a degree of variability is not particularly explicit. When I asked my program on the circuit that I really wanted to measure, the phase shift went from-. 5 degrees up to about 1.2 degrees. The change in the values of phase shift at high frequencies (> 3000) was environ.2 degrees. Given the small phase shift, this variation is unacceptable. Now I tried to use a sequence to each blood individually (increase the maximum sampling frequency to 250 k) and then align the two signals and measure the phase of each shift. When I use align it and re - sample Express VI to realign the two signals, I get the message "error 20333 analysis: cannot align two waveforms with dt even if their samples are not clocked in phase." Is it possible to align two signals I describe here? I enclose the new VI as Phase 2

    Matthew,

    I think I have an idea for at least part of the problem.

    I took your program data and deleted stuff DAQ.  I have converted the Signal on the chart control and looked then what was going on with the signal analysis.

    The output of the Waveforms.vi line has two waveforms, like the entry.  However, arrays of Y in the two waveforms are empty!  It does not generate an error. After some head scratching, reading the help files and try things out, that's what I think is happening: the time t0 two input signals are 1,031 seconds apart. Since the wavefoms contains 1,000 seconds of data, there is no overlap and may not align them.

    I changed the t0 on two waveforms are the same, and it lines up.  The number of items in the tables is reduced by one. Then I increased the t0 of 0.1 seconds on the first element. The output had both greater than the entry by dt t0 t0 and the size of the arrays was 224998.  Reversing the t0 two elements shifts the phase in the opposite direction.

    What that tells me, is that you can not reliably align two waveforms which do not overlap.

    I suggest that you go to 2-channel data acquisition and that it accept the reduced sample rate.  You won't get the resolution you want, but you should be able to tell if something important happens.

    You may be able to improve the equivalent resolution by taking multiple steps with a slight phase shift. This is similar to the way that old oscilloscopes of sampling (analog) worked. Take a series of measures with the signal you are currently using.  The make enough average to minimize changes due to noise. Then pass the phase of the signal of excitement to an amount that is smaller than the resolution of phase of sampling rate and repeat the measurements.  Recall that I calculated that for a 5 kHz signal sampled at 125kHz, you get a sample every 14.4 degrees. If shift you the phase of 1 degree (to the point/mathematical simulation), you get a different set of samples for excitement.  They are always separated by 14.4 degrees.  Take another series of measures. Transfer phase another degree and repeat.  As long as your sampling clocks are stable enough so that frequency does not drift significantly (and it shouldn't with your equipment), you should be able to get near resolution of what you need.  The trade-off is that you need to perform more measurements and may need to keep track of the phase shifts between the various measures.

  • Aligning the print cartridge HP PSC 1500 series printer

    I just installed a new ink cartridge and try to align. When I open the HP PSC 1500 Setup page, it gives me the option "align cartridge". When I click on it it opens a dialog box titled 'printer properties '. There is no information on how to align the cartridge.

    Thanks for your reply. It didn't really solve my problem. As I've mentioned before, I tried to get the 'how' info from the HP PSC 1500 series control page that displays a link to "aligning the print cartridge. By clicking on this link opens a dialog box that has nothing to do with the alignment of the cartridges. It was not very useful, but eventually, I remembered what I had to do was insert the alignment sheet and press "scan."

  • Align the PSC 750 printer ink cartridge error message.

    I just replaced only the black cartridge in my printer PSC 750.  (Will replace the color cartridge later as my money allows.) The printer is connected to my laptop, MacBookPro, under OS X, version 10.6 operating system.  After replacing the cartridge, I ran a self-evaluation report.  It seemed to run correctly.  No color cartridge only test model because there is no ink in the cartridge.  Then I ran the process to align the print cartridge which gives an error on the printer.  It displays "error: Align page not detected" when I clearly placed the page alignment on the scanner glass.  Tried this process several times and each time I get this error message.

    Could it happen because I have not yet replaced the color cartridge?  If not, then what?

    Alignment requires the black and cyan (or was it yellow on this model?) part of the color cartridge to print for correct alignment.  If you have an old copy of the alignment page you can use it, although the alignment would be suboptimal.

    Soak the printhead of the cartridge 78 in 1 "hot water for ten minutes and then gently the printhead from drying and put it back in the printer may allow enough ink complete the alignment page.

  • align the ink cartridges

    Does anyone have an idea on how to align the cartridges to print on HP psc 1350 with Windows 7, which does not use the HP Toolbox?  Thank you very much for any suggestions on this.

    When a new cartridge is installed the PSC 1350 will automatically print an alignment page.  This page must be loaded on the scanner glass and the "scan" button pressed to complete alignment.  It does not require the computer see this page for more information.

  • Need help aligning the SSD to install Windows XP Pro (32 bit)

    OK, I scoured the internet for help on this one - I'm a newbie to SSD - so having to manually align the partitions and find FITTINGS utilities to take care of the "Crusher" is all new to me - so the answers I found on the net were to "over my head" for my last neuron remaining cope!

    The machine is an Asus Eee PC 901/XP - that belongs to a friend of mine. These netbooks have 1 x 4 GB SSD and 1 x 8 GB SSD - I installed XP Pro SP3 on the 8 GB and got to boot from it - only problem is not only slow, but essentially unusable in this same open my computer with no other progs running takes a good 30-45 seconds - and actually run the progs just cripple it.

    After checking the CPU in Tsk Mgr was sod all, that there is plenty of available RAM (I upgraded to 2 GB = max mobo aura), I can only imagine that - now that I've done some reading on these SSDS - the (main?) cause of the non-existent performance is the fact that I have (in my ignorance) doesn't have to align the partitions before installing the operating system.

    I got a 8 GB disk image - using a prog called 'Snapshot' - as I read it, I should be able to then use this image to replace the disk of 8 once I have the aligned partition (this image is now on the 4 GB drive), without messing up alignment - so no doubt I need to align the 4 GB drive as well.

    So, after all that waffle that I would be really happy is a walk of models by using Diskpar (if someone can point me to a working bind it to d/l 1!) -or Diskpart, which I think I can run from my recovery disc of Win7 (from my Dell laptop) - I know that I've seen people talk about running it from a Vista recovery disk, so guess it of the same tool and can help me to do the same job.

    I think I need to remove the volume (?) on the 8 GB, before I can do any alignment - then, as it is currently the only player with a job o/s on this subject, is it possible by booting from the recovery disc too?

    Just for the record the Tech Support Asus was desperate - also, their support for the "Eee" family forum have been down for weeks - then were not able to ask people who have probably all done on this machine!

    Thank you

  • HP Deskjet D1320 align the print cartridges fail

    Hello

    So I recently broke my printer to work on a couple projects.  The old cartridges is dead, so I bought brand new and installed today.  When installing the latest software of HP printer, the alignment will fail.  Step by step:

    (1) Center of Solutions HP Open

    (2) open Toolbox

    (3) device Services tab

    (4) align the ink cartridges

    (5) align the

    However, after click on align, * nothing *.  It's as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.  I * can print * very well, but alignment doesn't matter.   I can also print a page of test very well.

    I also did the standard troubleshooting: remove and reinstall the cartridges, restart the printer, unplug the printer, reinstall the software.  * Nothing works.* again, it is as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.

    So what can I do to solve the problem of alignment?

    Thank you

    Drogan

    PS OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1.  Connection: USB

    You are right.  It's a good general practice to align the printer when new cartridges are installed, but it is not mandatory.  Alignment is made for purposes of printing quality.  On this printer, the print head is part of the ink cartridge.  When a new cartridge is seated, it may or may not be in alignment.  It looks like your cartridges are in alignment.

    You could try to shut down your computer (not a reset) and do a Hard Reset of the printer as described in the following link.  Click here  After you restart the computer, is there a difference?

    If not, and the print quality is good, I recommend you skip the alignment.  If you want to be able to make an adjustment, you could try to do a complete uninstall of the printer software and download and install the drivers from hp.com.  Click here

    I have a HP Officejet J5780 all-in-one printer.  It was working fine until I ordered new cartridges on the HP store online alternatives.  When it came to replace them and use them, I started to struggle to align the cartridges.

    I have repeatedly tried over and over again... now I can't print anything.  Only, I had this printer a year and rarely use it!

    Thanks, I've been subject to shoot than the little hair that I had remaining. The screen told me to replace the color cartridge, so I did and then it would not recognize the paper from swipe. I replaced the black cartridge and then no problems.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @lyjonne

    You can install the full software features and use the Printer Wizard to align the cartridges, or you can use the printing and scanning doctor.

    Use this link to download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

    The HP printer for window installation wizard was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and users Windows 8.1 download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP printer.

    Or click here to download and run the printing and scanning doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools

    As you can see the Print and Scan Doctor allows you to print a page, to perform the alignment, to clean the print heads, get print diagnostic information and more.
