  • Can I restore my computer to erase my default admin password?

Well from what I read I can't reset my password.  I changed it just cause last week a member of the family got ahold of him by chance.  I have not connected because I changed it last.  I know what it is but he always tells me that it is the bad pswd.  I tried my old ones too, even tried different variations that it is incase I hit the wrong key.  I don't have a pswd reset disk and I don't have another admin ACCT.  Like I did today.  I don't have a cause of disk windows vista it is pre loaded on my computer when I bought it.

The only other thing I can think to do so is to restore my computer to factory default settings.  I thought that the last time I had to do this when I got the win32 Trojan horse and could not clean the system I had to configure everything again.  Including the admin account and password.  Someone has other suggestions before I try this road?  I don't want to use software downloaded online if possible cause I have no interest to pay for access to my admin account again.  Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

Sorry another thought I just had was to restore the computer to a date before last week, I changed my pswd.  Would this work?

Well, I read on the site that you gave me the link.  Very much appreciated.  I'll let you know for sure.  I check with Best Buy Geek Squad who wouldn't tell me SQUAT of course...  That there is a command in the command prompt to raise the level of administrator.  That's what I searched, for the last time now.  I really don't want to restore the computer, but if I have to.  I don't have time to wait until I can get this album which did not belong to me anyway.  And my main fear is that if I use it I'm having probs with the registration key I have for mine.  I guess overall it is possible that the young girl to the geek team did not understand what I was asking.  But they are a bunch of useless people so useful!  I won't buy anything at best buy.  I understand they have geek team for some reason and earn money from good intentions and unconscious that cannot set their own machines.  But the round back in January so that my computer was still under manufacturer's warranty that I called cause them my nephew.  Don't ask me what they were spent, I wasn't there, but he stopped and would not start again.  After taking to run a comprehensive diagnosis on this subject that they don't tell me something if I wasn't going to pay.  So, after calling their toll-free number and this nice lady make a few suggestions I have restored my computer.  Anyway enough of that.  I will let you know thanks for posting, listening and responding that this gave me a migraine pain and eye of squinting at the small text characters.  Laughing out loud

  • What is the default admin password

I've just set up my new laptop Windows 8.1, with a local account. Now when I try to do anything he asks administrative password. I never put a password, y at - it a default password

    No, it isn't.

  • No admin password... repair at a standstill

I tried to repair a hard drive that has kept a loop at startup after post. He would get for posting, you'd hear the beep and then screen turns off and it would start again. I put the XP installation disc in and then when the screen came up, I selected the option "repair". When installation is entered in the command prompt mode, he asked what installation number (I think) and I hit 1 (could have file number, Im not sure), then the command prompt was asked the admin password. I don't remember still using the admin account I have access to all of my user account and have never been invited to use the admin account and I know I never set up a password for it. In any case, at this point I was puzzled because I couldn't go any further. I have supplements a kind of default admin password that is there? I looked in the BIOS and no unit admin password it.

Anyway, it wasn't really important data there so I restarted and when prompted by the installation cd, I chose installation. Then, a message comes on the screen saying it found another version of windows xp there and she had selected in a box. He asked me to select the version in the box and then I chose the repair option. Then he went through and just instaled the version on the disk.

so my questions are; How do you get by the admin password prompt when you do not for the admin account?

Also;  If there is data that I wanted from the disc and it does not start on the desktop, it tried to repair the current xp or boot sector, etc., after the admin password has been given? I take the computer repair & service race and I think that after the admin password prompt, I could have selected fixmbr or fixboot from the command prompt to try to repair the current version. I think so (please tell me if im correct) I could have copied the data I wanted to stay on a USB key or other medium? Pleae let me know... I have apreciate your help. I would like to know for next time if I have a client in the future and I want to do this same type of repair.

    Thank you

If you did not set a password (and many people don't) then you simply press When prompted for the password.

There are a handful of commands that can be run from the Recovery Console without the need to connect to the installation. Fixmbr and Fixboot are two of them.

  • access to the router, by default admin admin password?

When you try to access the router using default admin admin passwords I can't. Said unauthorized access.

What im I doing wrong? I have not changed the default as ive just installed it?

    Any suggestions?

Well re installed with less haste... it turns out that during the installation of the router refers to own name and password.

You must remove this and replace (if you want) with the so-called default... admin... Admin.

That is the question... Thanks for the help.

  • The default user ID Admin/password deletion

Hello world. We have just installed and configured a new environment of Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 dev and we want to remove the admin/password account. We will create a new data source and save it with a new account administrator (not "admin"), so when we delete "admin" the new source of data application will still work.

Can I go ahead and delete "admin" then?

    Thank you.

Could you not create and configure the new admin, planning to change the owner of the application of the old account to the new admin account admin, deprovison, the former admin of the app.
If you want to change the essbase administrator account using the application just planning to change the data source and enter the new details of the account admin, planning web app might need a reboot after doing so.

    See you soon

  • The default root password factory NB100

Anyone know what the default root password factory for a NB100 with Ubuntu 8.04 installed.

There is no password for root on Ubuntu, the root account is disabled from direct and interactive logins.

The first 'ordinary' created user will be in the "admin" group, and so after cutting as a normal user, you can use "sudo" to run commands as root temporarily.

    I hope this helps.

  • I FORGOT the ADMIN PASSWORD FOR - (WEB PAGE) - HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

    Hi all

I changed my network SSID & PW but I forgot the password for the printer web page.

Password was written in a notebook and notebook is moved at the moment by the cleaning person.

Please HELP! Is there anyway I can reset the printer so that the admin password is also re-set. I try to reinstall the software printers, also I am not able to change the ip address and right now, there is no ip address... get no link and no ip address and no network... Please anyone who can help... Please help.

    * I read some part... to power off the printer, then press the power button on... and continue pressing the back button where he would have, for some time the printer is back back (it was to reset the printer)... which is about 23 times... zero.

I really want to THANK you ALL for READING THIS & YOUR TIME. So please help if you can...

    and ideas?

    Thank you, xxVEGASxx

    * xxVEGASxx *.

You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer.

Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list and you will have to scroll down to see it.

Which erases all settings, including the password for the printer.

To reset you describe is probably the one mentioned in this article:

    http://resetprinters.com/how-to-reset-the-HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-premium-all-in-one-printer/

but it's probably a deeper reset that you really need anyway.

  • Admin password with Toshiba WinXP installed on the Satellite A100

All, bought my laptop to Jul06 and don't remember details of the sequence of implementation of Toshiba and impossible to find all the notes I did :-( My question is the standard Toshiba WinXP Setup out of the box asks me to set up a password for the administrator account on Windows XP because I can remember it do?

It's my bad memory or if I wasn't invited, and there are some default Toshiba? I ask now, and abosolutely have no idea what it is!

    Yours respectfully, Mr A. fool.

I got my Satellite phone 2 weeks ago and I'm sure installation was asked to set the admin password.
You simply go through the installation process and sometimes the admin password box will appear

  • Lost Admin password

    Nice day

I'm trying to do a factory restore on your laptop model HP-g011ca running Windows 8.1 and the admin password has been lost. Let contact me. The system has been set up by someone who had no idea how to make an installation program and do not bother to read none of the screens through the installation program

This model comes with a 1.8 GB restore partition.

I was wondering if I can remove the hard drive and delete the Windows folder (or all folders), I would be able to do a restore of the system from the recovery partition?

If so, what would be the steps?

Oh... If there is an easier way to do this, I would like to know.

    Thank you all

I'll give a try to the F11 key when I get home later today.

Another question for you, if I boot to the command prompt and go to "D", I can run recovery from there.

    Thanks again

    Don

"Another question for you, if I boot to the command prompt and go to"D", can I run the recovery from there."

No.  The recovery partition is not default bootable. If you play with or modify files within the partition, it will work as expected.

You can use a live bootable Linux usb to access GParted and assign to the active recovery partition. Once it's done, you can leave Linux (I use Ubuntu) and then restart your laptop. It should boot straight into the Recovery Manager.

  • I forgot my admin password... and I'm stuck on the computer.

They gave me a computer that was won by rafel. It came with no software and no purchase receipt. I lost the paper with my admin password on it, and I'm stuck on the computer. I need help.

    * original title - I forgot my admin password... and I'm stuck on the computer. The cmputer gave as part of rafel, so there is no software to the computer. Can someone please help IT

..  I lost the paper with my admin password on it, and I'm stuck on the computer...

While your application may very well be authentic, it could also be interpreted as a surreptitious attempt to bypass Windows security.

The only recommended method to retrieve an administrative password is to login as another administrator account and reset the password to a known unknown. If the administrative passwords could be easily overcome, there would not be much point in them.

It is in the terms of use and the Code of conduct of the responses of these forums to request or provide assistance to the cracking a password. Do not forget that you agreed to these and review if necessary.

You can view the policy of Microsoft about lost or forgotten passwords (KB189126) for more information on what resources are available to you.

The only advice that I can offer you is either begin to guess what the password could possibly be or reinstall Windows by default.

I have a pc running windows XP sp2 which has been disconnected from the network for a year. I started using it last week, of course, he went to get 100 MS updates updates automatically. then it crashed and was an error of windows root system 32\hal.dll. I tried to use the repair console utility as described on the website. When I get to the admin password prompt (that there is no) and press enter (by default), it does not work. I then ran 2 against crackers of password for the pc that also come with this being so. at this point, I am at a loss if I can't get the Admin password that I can't run the repair utility to fix this error? I then decided to clean the disc and reload the XP and loosing all data. I can't find a way to (fdisk) or wipe the OS of the PC to reload the operating system of the software I have...

Someone save me before chuck this thing and buy a MAC

    try and solve this problem,
In order to format the drive, you will need your XP cd or recovery media supplied with your PC.  There are also third-party utilities you can start with and format your drive.  However, if you have the XP cd, you can remove the drive partition, recreate the partition, and then format the drive during the installation phase.
