  • Make sure default DW for the XML files?

I don't know there is a way to do what I'm missing, but I would like to make DW my default app for XML files.  I know how this can be done under Windows (using 'open with' and change the default value), but I'm on Mac OSX.  I tried to play with the DW preferences file types section, but it didn't work.  Someone knows how to fix this?  Thank you.

In the Mac Finder, select an XML file and click on more info (or press command + I - it is I, not a lowercase L) to bring up an Info Panel. Expand the section that says open with and select Dreamweaver in the context menu (click on the other, if it is not). Then click the button change all to apply to all XML files.

  • XML file for GigE Vision camera

    Hello

I'm working on a model of GigE Vision camera. It should be very simple linescan camera. I put in place the necessary set of registers GigE Vision, can communicate with the camera in MAX. The problem is that I need creata this XML file for the camera. There is this here XML file:

    http://www.EMVA.org/CMS/upload/standards/GenICam_Downloads/SFNC_Reference_Version_2_0_0_Schema_1_1.x...

What should I do with it? My first version of the camera will have 2 functions: turn on and off I'm confused, because the model xml file has many functions, I don't really have. Should I remove them? Or leave it inside with default values? That she needs a configuration minimum XML file?

    Kind regards

    Linus

    Hi Linus,

If you look at the GigE Vision specification, you will see that there is a minimal subset of functionality that must be present for the camera be declared compliant. That's all what IMAQdx will need for the camera works fine. All other functions in the XML file that you downloaded are part of the SFNC (features Standard Naming Convention) defines the names/behavior for common characteristics that are often found on machine vision cameras. As a general rule, cameras implement a subset of these features. You should not let any features that are not implemented in the XML because it would be just confused because they would do nothing.

  • How to call the specific node of the navigation model?

    Hello

I have a portal application webcenter containing a custom navigation template. HIES model is used by the menu tree and bread crumbs.
Users request a link in the template to navigate to the home page. I could make a case of navigation in my ADFC-config file to navigate to the home page, but I would rather use the navigation model. Is there a way to select a specific node in the navigation model and navigate using a button or a link?
I've been looking for this much time, but could not find an example. It's has enough of the menu etc, but not cela.

You can use the same navigation model just like using the template of menu xml

  • Why help exit Eclipse produces several eclipse_whtdata.xml files?

I have a project in Robohelp 9 (created with RoboHelp HTML 9.0.2).

I choose to export as an Eclipse help (it's almost the same as webhelp).

Our Chief technician integrates my output using Eclipse files exported in the Eclipse IDE help

as a separate book. The user can expand our parent book in several books and shows the topics.

The topics in this project are about 300.

    Our question:

How we can put in place our project files or book in Robohelp which will generate a single Eclipse whtdata file which will include all table of contents entries.

    Our problem:

The project generates several (currently 6) eclipse_whtdata files.

It generates a file toc.xml with a child < section > element that points to a file of whtdata eclipse as follows: < toc link = "eclipse_whtdata1.xml" >

The eclipse_whtdata1.xml has labels of table of contents and links to topics.

In the eclipse_whtdata1.xml file, there are 5 cases of labels of table of contents and links that point to other files eclipse_whtdata.

So we get 6 eclipse_whtdata.xml files, numbered from 1 to 6. Links folder number 1 to the files numbered from 2 to 6.

I tried to identify a model, and I see no difference in the way books are set up in the Robohelp project and no difference in the way the subjects are related to books, etc. I even deleted a few books and recreated them.

The Robohelp project has a parent book, with a related subject.

This topic contains links to all the first level child books and some autonomous subjects.

Each book of the child has a topic with links to all his books child or the children.

No errors are displayed in the output on the generation.

Thanks for any help or pointers, you can provide.

    Cynthia

    Hi Cynthia

When you look in RoboHelp at the single Source Layouts pod, think of it in the same way you would think of a box to recipes in your kitchen. Inside of the box recipes are often the recipe cards that contain the settings for each dish, you can create. If each of the elements inside the carrycot single Source Layouts is equivalent to using a recipe card. The map contains all the parameters that govern the way in which this specific output is created.

As you work your way through the different areas of settings, one is usually labeled Navigation. And in this area is a labeled frame Speed of Optimize For.

The setting here determines whether the navigation elements are spllit into small pieces or left in a larger file. Try making sure that the option here is set for the Local or Intranet computer.

Just give it a try and see if it helps... Rick

  • Problem with Framemaker 9 Dita XML Files in Framemaker 10

I just upgraded to Framemaker 10. I meet a number of problems when trying to work with my help of Dita XML topics, that were last saved in Framemaker 9.

    1. using the default Dita model

When I open one of my documents in Framemaker 10, the Dita 1.2 model ditabase.fm is automatically applied. Everything seems fine. But then when I convert the XML using Eclipse (which is essentially the html, so we go from XML to HTML format) using Dita Open Toolkit ant scripts, I see this message:

[pipeline] [DOTJ013E] [ERROR] failed to parse the referenced file 'html\c_licensing.xml' cause from under exception. Please correct the base on the exception message reference.
[pipeline] c_licensing.xml 25:Attribute 'xmlns:ditaarch' of the line must be declared for the element type "dita".

Then, I opened the xml file in a text editor, and I saw this on line 25:

    < dita xmlns:ditaarch = "http://dita.oasis-open.org/architecture/2005/" > ""

25 line seems to me. Am I missing something?

2 go to a model of Dita 1.1

I tried to get around the above problem. In Framemaker, I tried to put another structured as the default application. I closed all files and choose the structured Dita 1.1 application default (it defaults to the Dita 1.1. Composite app.)

Then I tried to open my file: I got this message inside Framemaker:

    'Failed XML validation. Continue?
Error to the [path of ACCESS], line 25, tank 72, Message: attribute ' {http://www.w3.org/2000/xmlns/} ditaarch' is not declared for the element "dita"

    Sounds familiar, isn't?

I went from Dita 1.1 by default. Composite application structured with the Dita 1.1. Application of structured theme. Then I messed the source file and saved. The messages that I got in the FrameMaker log window included one above, plus I had a variety of messages to unknown element, things like:

    Element unknown dita.

    notion of unknown element,

various attributes are not reported for concept,

    element unknown conbody.

If I go to the Dita 1.1 mash all these messages diappear except this one:

Attribute ' {http://www.w3.org/2000/xmlns/} ditaarch' is not declared for the element "dita"

My conversion scripts of Ant in the Dita Open Toolkit are still unable to process this file. They give the same message as above in (1) and the file is not converted to HTML.

Can someone help me with this problem? I also posted this question in the Group of users of Dita on Yahoo Groups. If I get an answer in one place, I'll post it in the other.

    Thank you

    Nina P.

    [transferred to dita-users]

    Hi Nina...

The xmlns:ditaarch attribute must be the "topic" not dita root element. If demand for FM10 structure is the award that it is wrong. You create composite themes (multiple topics in a single file under the root of dita)? If this isn't the case, you can get rid of the total dita element and who can "solve" the problem.

The first mistake you get (#1) says that the xmlns:ditaarch attribute must be declared (that is, defined in the DTD)... It's not (because it is not supposed to be there (as I know). This is not to say that it must be declared in the DITA file.

Even for the #2 error... the composite 1.1 app is apparently set up correctly, so it's saying the same thing that the Old Testament said... "you have this attribute in the XML file, but it is not declared in the DTD.

Your subsequent error on the missing items is because you spent in the "topic" DTD, who does not know the dita element or elements based on concepts.

If you can unpack your files dita element (because you are just using a topic in each file), which can solve the problem. But you probably need to do is open these files in a text editor and remove the attribute of xmlns:ditaarch of them (he not really needs on the elements of the topic either since it is the default value). Then, I turn to the composite 1.1 as a default app. I'll take a look at the FM10 1.2 default app and see what happens. (I have not seen this problem since I was on DITA-FMx, which has its own structure of apps).

    See you soon,.

I can provide you with 2 other if necessary dependent schemas. Please answer me!

I don't know how this issue applies to the XML DB, but I'll answer anyway.

    Your schema resides in the
    targetNamespace = "http://www.manh.com/ILSNET/Interface."
namespace, so by default, all definitions can be found in this namespace
The generated XML is in no namespace. That's why you see the error
    'WMWROOT' UNDECLARED
Since the schema has no definitions in the same XML namespace uses. You must put your XML file in the same namespace as the schema in order for validation to work, through the
    xmlns = "http://www.manh.com/ILSNET/Interface."

  • I'm not able to open my documents pages. I get the message: the requested index.xml file is missing.  I wonder if it is because I have updates 10.11.5

I have an iMac (20-inch, mid 2007) processor 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory and recently updated to el capitan 10.11.5.  I have Pages ' 09, and I can't open my documents pages and get the message:

The index.xml file required is missing.

I now see that it says return to default pages 5.6.2.

I can open them as 5.6.2 then save tehm in pages ' 09?

Can someone help me with easy tips?

Only the Pages ' 09 or old documents contain internal index.xml file. When you try to open a document in Pages ' 09 Pages v5, you get this dialog on the missing index.xml. The key is to stop Pages ' 09 and then double click on the document to open it in v5.6.2 Pages.

Pages ' 09 will not leave by simply clicking on the red light on the title bar of the document. As long as the Pages ' 09 continues to run, it will intercept all attempts to open any document Pages, including incompatible versions of the v5 Pages.

This has nothing to do with OS X 10.11.5. He has been a user focused on the issue since October 2013.

  • Data from the XML file

    Hello

The attached xml file contains data that I would like to extract. The value of the data has the label (ubchild? name /) of ' means ".". " This can happen a number of times in the file for the names of different children.  for example

    SENS0710:10951:IntSolIrr has the value that

    742.320755

    and

SMBAU008:154000347:m_S0 kWh has the value that

    227.458679

    and so on...

The attached vi is very very simple and uses the vi JKI EasyXML to parse the file to a data type of labview.

This is the point at which I need advice as to the way forward. I have reflected on the variant data, clusters, etc., but can't seem to get anything close to work.

Someone would be kind enough to give me some tips or tricks to extract these values in a table.

    Thankl you

  • Failed to open an xml file.

I am running Vista Ultimate and Office 2007. When I try to open the file: List.xml message said: there is no program associated with it. The associated control panel shows the XML editor as the program associated with the .xml extension.

Back at the end of September, I had a C++ 2005 svc pk1 update which could not be updated: a security update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538242). I contacted the MS Support and the representative said that it's corrupted. He began to remove all of the C++ files and it has replaced the following: C ++ 2008 Redistributable-x 86 9.0.30729.6161, C ++ 2008 Redistributable-x 86 9.0.21022.218 and C ++ 2005 Redistributable.

I don't know if it's associated with my problem today or not, but I was able to open .xml files in the past.

I think that the XML Editor is part of some editions of Visual Studio. The XML files are associated with Internet Explorer in installing Vista by default.
