C1100 question Fan (CS24-TY)

Hello

I recently acquired a machine CS24-TY, and there fan problems a few months after that it has been installed.  The unit will run all fans of system at 10 000 rpm + and rev then down to about 1000 rpm, it continues the process forever. This happens at the time where the system is powered and will happen intermittently once the system has worked.

I've updated the BIOS and BMC firmware to the last offered on Dell site with no problems.  This has not solved the problem.  I suspect it's a hardware problem, clues about what could be replaced? I can't wait to buy a set of fan because they are quite expensive.

Thank you.

The motherboard with the core of the work has been updated the newer BIOS and was working fine for almost 2 days until 03:00 this morning he has begun with the same question. Replace the fan tray next week and if it does not it goes in the trash.

  • Replace hard drive SSD on end 2009 27 "iMac

    end 2009 27 "imac

    OS X 10.11.3

3.06 GHz intel Core 2 Duo

    4 GB memory

According to the genius bar, the Seagate 1 TB hard drive on my end 2009 27 "iMac is a failure.  They told me that they do not have the parts to replace and suggest I do myself or take it to Best Buy.  Best Buy said that they are unable to do so I can't to try it myself.  I read and watched directions to ifixit and several other sites.  I am convinced that I have the skills to do the replacement, but I'm less confident about the purchase of equipment:

    (1) Ifixit say I should use a Seagate drive to replace the Seagate drive I have.  Engineering made no mention of this.

    (2) engineering suggested I buy a Crucial BX200 480 GB SATA 6 GB/s 7 mm (with 9.5 mm adapter) 2.5 "disk flash internal SSD (part #CT7414188).  The essential site says I need part CTSSDCONVT a 2.5 "to 3.5" SATA SSD/HHD converter for 2006-2012 MacPro.  They suggest that it will work in my iMac as well.  Articles and discussions have referenced problems with noise from the fan and order and mention with fixes software and manual control of the speed of the fans.  When I mentioned questions fan of genius, he said not to worry about this, and the Crucial site makes no mention of him either.  The SSD costs $129,99 and converter $ 21,50 for a total of $151,49.

    (3) OWC offers aDIY Bundle which includes a 480 Electra of mercury GB 3 G SSD, newer technology AdaptaDrive to allow installation of the 2.5 "SSD and a digital probe online that eliminates the noise of the fan and maintains control of the correct system fan through management for the iMac system controller.  The package costs $199,75.

Bundle OWC seems like a good deal but it seems to me that SSD Crucial works to 6 GB/s and the Electra of mercury to 3 Gbps.  If I go through the replacement, it seems more sensible to get the 6 GB/s.

I wonder if I can mix and match and use the Crucial SSD with the Adaptadrive of more recent technology and digital sensor OWC.

Any suggestions from anyone who has done this replacement would be appreciated.

2009 iMacs have SATA 2 - meant 3Gbps rate.  It does not matter if you use 2 SATA and SATA 3 - you get only speed SATA 2.

Second - the adapter for 2.5 to 3 5 - don't hang a lot of money on this,-l'ebay has many choices.

My personal experience, support 'intel' works best - since it is the length, so the seat fits much better.

Yes, you can mix and match - choose what might suit you best.

For me, I had Apple OEM SSD (Samsung doing this - 256 GB, SATA 3) with intel on iMac 2011 (SATA 3 speed), with support from OWC thermal line sensor.

Samsung 830 (256 GB and SATA 3) on iMac 2010 (SATA 2 speed), with support from Intel, with OWC thermal line sensor.

Note: the probe heat 2010 and 2011 are different.

    Good luck.

  • System backup fails with the error no disk space

I have a Dell laptop with Vista. There E. internal recovery disc I saved 1/2011, but subsequent backups fail, no disk space. The previous backup should be deleted everything first?  I'm afraid to delete all files on the recovery drive for fear of a further backup failure.  If there are files already on the drive if no changes have been made their backup just jump on them and backup new files?  I'm not a computer guru so sorry if these are questions fans.

    Hello

When you set up your computer, you must create a backup image of the Windows computer, which is like taking a snapshot of the programs, system and files on your computer settings. You can use this backup if your computer ever stops. Although this type of backup includes your personal files, we recommend that you back up your files regularly using the back up files Wizard. You must also update the Windows complete PC backup image every six months.

If you copied the data from drive E to another location, then it is safe to delete the content in the reader.

  • El Capitan 10.11.4 gel/Fans questions.

Hello everyone, first I apologize in advance for my English because it is not my first language.

I have a new MacBook Pro retina 13 "early 2015.

For the last 5 months, I had the OSX El Capitan 11.10.3, who came out of the box with the computer. And it has always worked perfectly.
In the last 5 months the mac never gave me any kind of questions!
I mainly use the computer for listening music, browsing, chatting or writing texts (using base really anything heavy)

U - unfortunately , I have to say, a couple of days ago on the App Store, I noticed a new version of update to OSX "11.10.4" and I decided to upgrade.
Well, after a few hours, that I've upgraded to the new version my mac started having several issues.
All first of all Fans. Without any reason after 1 or 2 hours after the upgrade (I was just looking the open web to 2 pages in safari, especially facebook and youtube)
Fans have started to run really crazy and loud for 3 to 4 minutes... so strong that I thought that the computer was a blast and I closed all applications and waited for slow racing fans. The aluminium of the mac was not warm to the touch... Room temperature.
This problem happened only the first day, I upgraded. But to be honest I sometimes feel the fans that sometimes short fast and loud without no reason.

Last but not the least... GEL! Strangely also this problem showed the same day I upgraded my macbook pro to the 11.10.4 version and this happened to me about 5 times now! and it becomes a nightmare!
When you use the mac computer just freeze the screen (mouse is stuck without the wheel is completely freeze) and after 4/5 seconds the screen is blocked as the work stoppage trackpad haptic vibration. I tried to let the mac like that for about 10 minutes, but nothing... only a hard reset can fix this...

The last time that happened about an hour ago, and that's why I'm here...

I already tried to start the computer with CMD + D to Apple diagnosis and check the hardware, but it is quite well show a message "No problems found" ADP000.

Looking at the console I saw some strange messages, but as I am not a technician I don't know what kind of problem is...

Anyone of you knows the problems on their macs?

First of all: you ElCapitan, but have made typos in numbers: 10.11.3 was on it and 10.11.4 is now on it (I've made the same typo always).

Your question may be due to Spotlight indexing, but I'm not sure.

I propose to stop the mac and

Then start while now the keys CMD + R: it starts slowly in the recovery Partition called. Choose "install OS" in the menu: it will install OSX on what is in the mac, it leaves your only user data. You must have a consistent internet connection, because the OS is downloaded again. So it takes time, be prepared for it. After that, the mac restarts and installs. Supposed to be all "fallen"bits"are corrected.

  • Satellite A500-1GL: 2 questions: the fan speed & graphic card driver failures

    Hello

I have 2 questions, hopefully someone can help me with that.

    * The first question - quick fan *.

I'm on online gamer second life and world of the craft of war) recently my fan speed crank up to 90 percent for about 5/10 minutes before leaving quiet. Then speed up again after a period of time. I'm confused as to why he did this because when I check my cpu temp is only make 40%, and I use a cool buffer table.

I'm looking for some advise here because all said Toshiba was making sure I had the latest bios update. But I would have thought it is not the processor overheating the fan must not be crank that quickly. My laptop is only 2 months old.

Can anyone help, should I be worried?

    * Second question - graphics driver *.

Also on a couple of times I got my screen briefly go black and then recover. A pop up appears saying something along the lines of the core of the graphics card.... Driver recovered. It flashes if fast, that I never see the entire message. Don't you think that something is wrong with the graphics card? (card nividia geforce gt300m)

I really hope that someone can offer more help that Toshiba has done, as I am a bit unhappy to be problems on a 2 month old laptop.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to any Advisor.

The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

I read on a similar question, and apparently, the graphics card DRIVER crashed during games
Maybe it's a compatibility problem between game and pilot
In most cases the graphics card driver update should fix this and I read on some forums that it has helped in many cases

    laptop: HP Pavilion g6-1200TX

    Product number: QG468PA #ACJ

operating system: Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

    Mr President

winds (fan) to air my laptop don't work properly and became quite noisy.

This has led to very poor game performance. Earlier (6 or 7 months ago) while playing games (NFS THE RUN), the fan worked with great speed and therefore keep the laptop in a cool and also giving pretty good framerate between (18-25).

But when I play now the fan remains completely rotate with very less speed and heat the laptop as radically. As a result the droped framerate (8-12). Even FULL HD videos run quite poorely.

I spend loads of time to update all components (BIOS, chipset graphic everything), but it does not solve this problem.

also, I restored my laptop and updated every thing, but again the rest of the question.

I thing I should have my fan cleaned or replaced.

Pls inform me of the cost for cleaning of the fan and also replacing the fan.

I bought my laptop on October 25, 2011. Noida, Delhi, India.

  • Question on Pavilion g7 fan/radiator replacement

I have a HP Pavilion g7. It's a little more than 3 years now. The product number is XV343AV and the model number is g7t-1000. The fan was very loud and noisy for a while and I had the overheating computer once, but most of the time, it worked. However, yesterday my fan has stopped working. I intend to take my computer school and have their problems, but I need to order the parts for it.

Look for the pieces on the HP site tells me I can get a Module sinks - UMA HM55 with the number 637189-001 and Module ventilation with the number 639460-001 (and there is also the option of a thermal buffer kit).

My question is, should I buy the fan and the heat sink? Is one in another / they are not supposed to be linked together? What happens if I just replace the fan and not the radiator?

You can replace just the fan, but you must remove the Fan/Heatsink unit. It's pretty obvious, how once you get the device from the laptop. The radiator is a piece of metal and really can't fail. The fan is the part that fails. When you put everything back together make sure to use good thermal paste applied sparingly and properly.

Fan errors are usually hardware problems. There is a fan in the case including detector does not detect that it is available or spinning. This could be a problem with the real fan or the fan sensor.

Does this have to do with? Are you talking about an error that is displayed by a Windows machine? If so, what version of Windows? When the error take? At boot time? Before or after that Windows allows you to open a session? When you provide no details, it is almost impossible for anyone to help.

  • T510 / T-Series computer laptop fan mechanism / longevity Question

    Hello

I have a question about the fan of the T510 or any other versions of the TP Fans. It is a mechanical bearing or is it a magnetic rehabilitation. Why I ask this is because I cleaned the fan with a cotton swab wiping down and then using a vacuum (yes I know it of not exactly as recommended) dust, vents and the fan blades. Given that the TP works well and without any problems, to the reading of a few other horror stories of fans of mobile phones of other people who have been destroyed by improperly wiping the fan blades out of short circuit of the laptop because the fan caused reverse rotation that has created an engine, I get a little paranoid.

Thus, the difference in the bearings of the fan make a difference? If if it's magnetic or mechanical?

    Thank you

The fan has a very simple mechanism. There is a tree which is made of hard plastic or, more likely, a kind of carbon fiber, which slips into a brass bushing. I've never run a chemical analysis to determine if the tree is made of plastic or something else, or if the ring is brass or bronze.

  • Fan replacements + other Questions of material

Well, I got an error message when starting today on my fan having problems. I noticed very high temperatures, with the fan being fort/loud in general. It is a renovated Pavilion dv6 6185nr

It is not initially loaded running Windows 7 64 bit, instead, it now runs Ubuntu Linux LTS 13.04.

Nothing was changed to what is material. Software wouldn't this effect, but once more the BIOS/boot detects a problem.

In any case, this form factor is what? Can what type of replacement I get? Any recommendations? How to open this thing up to change the fan, or to all the least clean?

    Hello Lepetitdoudou2010,

I understand that you are wanting to change your fan, is that correct? I'll try to help you.

Here is the Service Manual for your DV6, instructions on the removal of the fan are on page 91.

This is the part number for the fan that fits your system. (640425 001)

I hope this information is useful, let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Alienware 17 fan question

Hello! I bought an Alienware 17 and had yesterday. I am extremely satisfied! I love this system! Although one must get used to the new user of Windows 8 interface, I really like my time using the Alienware. However, I have a question about fans...

While using the laptop for heavy tasks, I think air broadcast by the fan on the left and not the right because I spent $3,000 on this laptop, I want to make sure everything is in good working condition. I was wondering if this is normal or if it is a malfunction of my hardware. I have not yet garguillo on this for more than ten minutes directly, but still when the left fan is turned on, the right is not. I didn't know the good fan fan the air once again yet! So I was wondering if the right fan turns on automatically after there is a certain amount of load on the processors or if it is a real problem.

    Please answer quickly please!

Here is my solution. Read all about it.

In my opinion, Alienware laptop computers are skewed when it comes to their fan profiles. It's just like that, I'm afraid, but there is a way around. Like you, I bought my laptop (M17x-R4) fans has worked, kicking in full power when I played the games. But now they have not. Who knows why. But in any case, the solution is to download speedfan NOT fan control software. Download Hwinfo. The updated link here.

Then you can control two fans at the same time (you can't control them separately). I'm able to put my fans at 5000 RPM. First, you open the program, click "sensors", and then at the bottom are a small fan icon. Click and you can control your fans. Choose a speed, then click the 'manual' button that will set the speed. If you want to return to normal, click «auto system»

Now, here's the problem. It all seems too good and easy, well it's because theres more than that. some laptops like mine, stops when you play a game and the fans are controlled by this program. but there is a difficulty. You must go to 'program' then 'settings' in the 'security' tab you uncheck the box 'Support' and then you have no more accidents. But what makes Community aid, it allows you to change auto manual system fans. when its not checked, you can not pass, then set the manual speed first, then uncheck THIS support and're you good to go. If you want to restore auto system, check the Community aid, and then select auto system again.

That's all! Fixed. Now, you need to be wary of your temperatures, if I put my fans too weak such as 3000 or same 4400 my CPU was running hot enough, but this average time for me are usually in the 90s when you're stressed anyway.

  • Economic construction - RAID and Fans Questions

I am considering the following construction to an editing room (badly used as reference guide). I don't know how many fans, if necessary, I have to buy. The case comes with 4 x 140 mm fans, and I don't mean to overclock the CPU immediately, but plans of OC'ing to 4.4 GHz in the near future.

Also, would a RAID 0 configuration agree with 4 hard drives? The disc only I'd be willing to lose risk would be the drive of files/export output. So, any combination of table 2 disk could lead to catastrophic data loss. 'Economic version' of harm recommends raid 0 for a 5 hard drive configuration, so it seems that 5 hard drives is a sine qua non for RAID 0. Any comments would be helpful I have realized recently that you can do with RAID configurations. Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with the case and do not know the air flow. If you are worried about the time, you can consider a larger case allowing a better air circulation. If you selected now is not very wide, so adding the fans on the side can be difficult due to the height of the fans and the height of the video card. The case has it air balanced, positive or negative? Dust filters are used on suction fans? There are so many questions, which make impossible the respondent.

When you have generated your system, measure the different temperatures at stock speed. If they are acceptable, even under a load of stress, it shows that the coolant is OK. Now overclock and do the same test. If temperatures rise to say more than 10 degrees C, then you have additional fans and you have to study the airflow more closely. For some cooling considerations, refer to http://ppbm6.com/Planning.html

  • Satellite C650 - Question about cooling fan

I recently bought the Toshiba Satellite C650 with processor i3 Intel and Windows 7 Home. When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air (there only the circle mark on the case under the cooling fan). Pls confirm me it is a manufacturing defect or not.

I also ran a cpu + the base temperature software and find core temp goes up to 72 ° C in one step and I feel very hot blowing through the radiator.

    Hey Buddy,

    > When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air
Who is normal and it s according to the laptop and the material. Different laptops have different cooling systems. This would mean that there are some laptops with no holes directly under the fan air intake. For fresh air holes are placed elsewhere to generate some air flow. If the other pieces of equipment can be cooled as well.

There are already some threads here in the forum and as you can see it's really normal:

How did you check the temperature?
Always it is if everything works well don t care about the temperature. In this case, that the laptop could overheat, it would off himself to protect the equipment. ;)
