• Portege R700 - gel & fan

  Hello

  I have an older Portege R700 for two days and it has developed a problem of freeze and fan. Actually, he launched the first day.

  In my opinion, Alienware laptop computers are skewed when it comes to their fan profiles. It's just like that, I'm afraid, but there is a way around. Like you, I bought my laptop (M17x-R4) fans has worked, kicking in full power when I played the games. But now they have not. Who knows why. But in any case, the solution is to download speedfan NOT fan control software. Download Hwinfo. The updated link here.

  54sec at 01:17 minutes this video shows the CPU fan and the orientation of the blade. In regards to the rear case fan, fan shroud has an arrow showing the flow. The fan is a fan, so he blows on the back.

  I agree with you on L300. Of my friends has this model laptop and we changed the method to the minimum level of cooling and cooling fan runs quiet and not so often. Unfortunately, more than that can be done.

  Akuma is also right. Each laptop model has clean and different cooling system and to compare it with other models is not so relevant.

  I am the owner of relatively satisfied a HP G62 laptop, which is between three and four years. I'm very happy with it, but the fan was strange for months and he has now got so bad that I decided to do something.

Thinking it was a Windows error 8.1 I reset Windows 7 build factory that originally came on the computer and it seems to work fine for a day or two and now works the fans wide open again. I see a lot of info on defective masters cards of e/s that may be the culprit. Anyone has experience with this issue before I pass through technical support.
