I have a problem with my Brothers printer that I put myself in my Toshiba, a new computer I have, I have just purchased-i he transferred from my old computer Dell - I downloaded it, I have a print copy of windows from 9/1/2012-when I put in place said sucessfully completed,

Do you receive error messages when you try to print?

Do you see yellow exclamation or question mark?
Do you see # code messages in the status of the printer properties window?

Double-click the icon of the printer on the desktop,
Select manage the Scan of the computer
Click Enable-
You can start automatically with Windows, BUT you will get an arror message if you turn on the computer FRONT of the printer.

Windows Vista Home premium fresh install on a new SSD. Will not take any updates?
Well, it will install that then it would download 122 updates after installing the windows updates just restart in a loop. If I go into safe mode it will complete step 3, and then restarts loop once again, if I restart and return in safe mode it will remove all updates but does not start in normal mode. Help, please.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.
(a) boot with the Vista DVD / disque disk recovery, select Repair Options , and then select command prompt (no admin password needed that way)
(b) now type C: (or any directory of your system files are located)
c) cd windows/winsxs
d) del pending.xml
(e) then close and restart the computer.
I also suggest you to update all the drivers of the computer as well.

Actually, even if you get executables run again - you can be (read as "will be") better off the coast of a new facility. Wipe and install media with your product key and other serial numbers and installation for other products media you own and restore your last recognized reliable backup for your files.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to clean boot.
