C3180 All in black ink was very weak and now gone

My black ink was too weak to read.  I changed the black ink cartridge twice (I use the HP 92 cartridge) and alignment says that everything is OK.  When I printed a test page, the colored areas were fine but the black ink was very small and difficult to read in a reliable way.  I cleaned the contacts, but there was no change.  I used the print head cleaning utility twice without any change.

Today, I tried the test page utility again and there is no black ink at all.

Is there anything else I can try before I buy another type of printer?

EDIT: since the new cartridge has worked. Call the HP Technical Support for a replacement of the cartridge. If you are in the United States, call 1800-474-6836. In addition, make sure that you have the serial number of the printer and the cartridge with you warranty end date.
