    Hi mate

I had the same problem in the past have installed XP on my machine and was in need of a GPU driver.

I ve checked the entire page of the Toshiba driver and it seems that there are different series that were equipped with the same GPU chip.

You can use the XP ATI driver that has been published for the following series:

    PSAENE satellite A210
    Equium P200 PSPB8E
    Equium A200 PSAE8E
    Satellite A200 PSAE6E
    Satellite P200 PSPB6E

I'm not quite sure that this device is SM m s BUS maybe it's your card reader. Then you can try to install the card reader driver out for another series of A210.

  • PE1950 R3 PERC6 / i - Drive replaced and returned at nine but still flashing the model "identify/preparation for withdrawal?

    Hello

    First post - forgive me.

I have a Dell PowerEdge 1950 of R3 with basket 4 x 2.5 "SAS/SATA connected to a PERC 6/i. 4 x 1 TB SATA WD red disks are mounted configured in a RAID10, and all worked happily for 6 months. A drive has failed, so we jumped out and jumped into a new. Rebuild starts automatically and completed in 208 minutes.

Now all is well again, unless the reader identify / preparation for the distribution of light removal still flashes on the replaced disk. Table health is reported as optimal, all the disks are online, and there is nothing wrong in newspapers PERC.

Is it just a firmware error which may disappear during the next reboot? (We cannot restart this machine right now... don't ask!) but it makes me nervous even if everything works well and the newspapers to report a successful reconstruction and optimal condition.

Thanks for the ideas, you may be able to give!

Our only other option would be to use OpenManage for send omconfig commands. If your version of Linux is capable of running OMSA then you can install it and then run the command:

    https://Linux.Dell.com/repo/hardware/

If you can not install OMSA, then you can start on a live CD/DVD of the OMSA:

    http://Linux.Dell.com/files/OpenManage-contributions/

Direct OMSA is a CentOS distribution that has OMSA and several other utilities built. It is installable, but you do not want to install it on your current OS so be sure to select the live Webcam or load the option memory at boot.

Once inside of the OMSA live or after installing OMSA in your current operating system, you should be able to run this command to unblink drive:

omconfig action of pdisk storage = unblink controller = pdisk 0 = 0:1:2

You may need to use omreport about what are your ID controller and pdisk. on the pdisk is controller: channel: IDLecteur

  • C50-A628 slow satellite operation

    Good day everyone.

Sorry if this post is in the wrong section, but, please help.
I know that perhaps some people might think this as a waste of time, or just something you could find in google, but for all * 7 months *, I tried to understand why my new laptop is slow.

Because this laptop comes without a pre-installed operating system, there is no restore disk or disk factory reset. For the first months of the use of my laptop, it was running windows 8.1 + pro +.

Whenever I use it, it opens everything good, except when my browser is open. everything becomes unstable and unresponsive. After a few seconds not responding, I can use it again as long as I have no multitasking. I installed the latest graphics drivers and a few apps, but that's all. I thought it was a problem with windows 8 on 5 days, so I went down to + windows 7 ultimate 64 bit +.

Now I'm starting to think that maybe the problem is the drivers since I did not install the required drivers for the laptop, because it did not come with reset disk and drivers.

So now, I would like to ask for help on this issue. Please present the installation of windows 7 and all the required drivers for my laptop which is the * TOSHIBA SATELLITE C50 - A628 RUNNING WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64-bit *. (Or any idea on why this problem occurs)

Thank you and have a nice day.

    -George B.

A note: the performance of the system, in particular issues of internet browser has NOTHING to do with drivers preinstalled on your laptop. For most drivers are not the reason why the laptop is running slowly (software slowly, etc.)

Is that your C50-A628 Satellite was equipped with 2 GB of RAM.
But also a part of this 2 GB of RAM is shared with GPU: Intel HD Graphics
So less than 2 GB for the system and applications used.
To be honest; It is not sufficient to operate the system smoothly!

I recommend you to upgrade at least to 4/6 GB or more RAM 8 GB of RAM for best performance.

    Regadign download the drivers:
The Win 7 driver can be downloaded here:

Someone can advise if this is a known issue, or is there a solution for this?

    Hello

I m not very well what kind of touchpad of your laptop supports because there are two modules different touchpad: Synaptics and MOMENTUM.

However, you can check this detail in the Panel? mouse? last tab (button settings)

If you would like to know what your laptop touchpad supports, visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver download a driver from the touchpad to the touchpad module.

New pilots Synaptics and MOMENTUM were released a few weeks ago, so its advisable to check the new version of the driver.

  • Upgrade the hard drive Satellite 2410 404

    Hello

I want to improve my toshiba Satellite 2410 404 with a hard drive again. For now I have just 30 GB drive and is not enough for me.

I checked three products to a new Toshiba hard drive.

    MK-8032GAX
    MK-1032GAX
    MK-1233GAX

The model MK-1032GAX 100 GB is my favorite and now my question is, if this drive work with my laptop (im going to install the drive in a toshiba technical station, don't do myself.) or if I have to change something with my mobile phone, update the bios or something.

Just tell me what I should do to work with this drive or if my laptop is not ready for it because it is nearly three years.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

As far as I know this laptop supports only 20 GB; 30 GB; 40 GB and 60 GB hard drives
I guess that a 100 GB HARD drive will not be recognized by the BIOS.

  • Satellite L670-1KZ - problem for a disc of 3 TB external HARD

I use 3 TB drive Seagate and WD on my Antec external box or grid of storeva very often to back up my data.

The problem is it randomely, I can't disconnect my external hard drive.

Sometimes, it works using HotSwap when connected with e-sata cable, sometimes it is said that my external HDD is still in use and request a reboot, but more dangerous, like today, nothing happens when you use this time this cursed F * tool windows 7 64-bit: "eject the disc safely" through the green icon.

I see my drive external HARD on windows Explorer, but it is completely locked and blocked, frozen. I can wait an hour, nothing changes. The problem is that when I try to reboot my laptop, it crash and I have to manually shut down.

And it's very bad, because after that, when I reconnect my external SD, I still have the same problem, the data have disappeared or are inaccessible.
If I perform a scandisk to repair the damaged cluster supposed-to-be, it hangs at X %, then, I'll have to kill the process, restart, plug the external SD. And then, no error message more, not corrupted data etc etc...
The result is sometimes, no damage, sometimes I have the bad surprise with damaged files, it's Russian roulette!

I never know if my data on my hard drive has been corrupted or not until I test, how for example an original bluray movie that will not play propely because a single m2ts file is dead.

I'm tired of living with fear or crashing 3 TB of data at any time, the 2 TB SD never never will ever face this problem.

    * Question: * is at - it solution secure to avoid this problem of ejection of the external 3 to DD permanently or do I have to change my cell phone? I don't have a PC, just my satellite.

With my thanks for your help, I'm desperate.

Generally, you will not be able to eject safely the external HARD disk, if an application still accesses the HARD drive. This can be a process that runs in the background.
In this case you must close this process in order to eject the HARD disk.
In my case, I couldn't eject the HARD drive because I've downloaded some files from the external HARD drive to my cloud. I had to close all my browser windows just to eject the HARD disk.

But this does not mean that this could be the case even for your question, it may be any process that you know

  • When changing the 80 GB to 40 GB HARD drive, Satellite M40 does not recognize the drive

    Hi all

    Thanks for coming in! :)
I recently source two-disc 40GB 2.5 "IDE and intended to run one of them in my Satellite M40.

    The problem starts here:

    (1) I took the original 80 GB hard drive & install the 40 GB hard drive
    (2) start and put in the Toshiba M40 recovery disk
    (3) display screen 'Y' for recovery blah blah blah thing...
    (4) then the screen shows 'cannot be installed because no hard drive found ".
    (5) I boot in the BIOS using F2-> F1, page 2 shows no hard drive

    (6) I try to use my own CD of Windows XP Pro, same thing (as in no hard drive found)
    (7) and the BIOS too show no hard drive found

The two disk 40 GB is out of mobile work and they formatted it, partition deleted with NOTHING on it. They have also been tested on other PCs (using the converter) using WXP. Two of them work very well!

Now, the weird thing is that I just can't make it work at least in the Sat - M40. Why is this? Toshiba locked the M40 being one Toshiba-disc is usable?
Is there a place to get through it? Hidden BIOS?

I have fixed a large number of PCs, but I can't with this, Please HELP...
Any response would be appreciated, thanks! :)

    Hello

The M40 should be able to use 40 GB hard drives with no problems.
But you must use hard drives with the right interface.
To my knowledge the M40 supports hard drives with an interface IDE (ATA-6).

So be sure that your 40 GB HARD drive supports it.

By the way; Check if your HARD drive supports the good master or slave definition.
