Cable PC intervention user for the login information for wireless router

It doesn't look good as I am typing, but I have recently installed a RE1000, which seemed to work fine. Then, on 3 PC's with no wireless card installed, we started to be prompted for the user name and password for the wireless router. Once I unplugged to extension, the problem disappeared. I know what you're thinking: maybe I just think that there is no wireless network on the PC card. NO, I looked in the Device Manager, and the only one network adapter installed is the ethernet adapter. Here are all the machines of 4 years and over with no hardware changes made these. Wireless adapters are not necessarily standard issue on old tricks - even on new towers. The Acer I use now was purchased new in November 2011 and did not come with a wireless card installed. So, I don't know what to think. Ghosts?

Well, the answer was watching me in the face: each of these has a wi - fi enabled printer PC attached via the port USB. Disable WiFi on printer, requests for user name wi - fi router and stop PW.

I was expecting ghosts.

    Given that the issue has not persisted in Windows 7, there is a chance that the wireless router/Access Point is not compatible with Windows 8.

  • How to make Windows 7 see the list of the user on the login screen, not just the last logged-on user

    I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and have two user accounts on my computer. Problem is that the login screen shows only the last logged user and one "other users" button which allows you to manually enter the username. Is it possible to return to the display of a list of all users instead?

    Jon

    OK... I found how to fix this problem. I know it's a few years since this topic (and most of the people moved to windows 8) but for those who are still Windows 7 who are tired to type the user name, whenever you log in, here is how to display the icons of the user:

    WARNING: This patch is not a hack. I do not use any third party software. I am simply change a security setting in the windows system. The longest part is to find the file. As much as I would like to say that this will fix all computers, I can't guarantee that this will be the solution for your system. This fixed my problem because my just setting should be disabled. That being said, let's move.

    As an admin (must be in an account that has administrator privileges) click the Start button and in the search at the bottom of the opening bar, the type of menu "Edit Group Policy" and press on enter. When the local Group Policy Editor window appears, click on the following arrows in the left column to expand the lists to find the file to change...

    > Computer configuration

    > Windows settings

    > Security settings

    > Local policies

    Security options<-Click on="" this="" file="" name="" or="" icon="" (the="" arrow="" icon="" won't="" do="">

    In the right menu appears a bunch of system settings, find the one that we called "Interactive logon: do not display last user name" This is the setting which will no doubt say "Enabled" beside him. Right-click on the file and select 'Properties', then disable the setting. Restart your computer and you should be good to go!

  • Windows 7, last user in the login screen and 'User', losses other accounts in the login page

    I am running Windows 7, it was a new installation. Since I set up my machine, I created 3 accounts in my system and in the login page I always had the possibility to choose one of these accounts.

    1 user 2 3

    Since last weekend, when I try to change username, I have just the last user who was logged and a "Different user" option (no image that it incidentally) where I need to type the name of the user who wants to go to and the password.

    Last known--> if another user select this--> I need to type the user name and password for the user newactive

    How to restore the possibility of having all my 3 available users in the form of connection with their photos?

    Thank you!!!

    I would like to use system restore to set up Windows in three days.

  • MRI / web services / check user at the login document rights

    HelloW,

    How to check if the user can read sealed document?

    Sealing server can be used to obtain the Classification (Peeking http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/user.1111/e12326/isvsealedcontent001.htm#DAFHIHIH)
    "The classification is used by the Office of IRM Oracle to determine if the * authenticated user * access the sealed content.

    How can I do the same thing if I know the login user name?

    Hello

    There is no direct way to say "user X has the right to open this document? However, you can find a way to do it using listRightsByAccount(). This returns an array of the document rights for the user which you can then analyze to see if the user has the context and actionable. Look here for listRightsByAccount:

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e12907/oracle/irm/j2ee/jws/rights/context/DocumentRightOperationsEndpoint.html#listRightsByAccount_oracle_irm_engine_types_core_account_AccountRef_

    You can supply a user name or user GUID (look at the defintiion of AccountRef).

    Kind regards
    Frank.

  • Redirect some users with the login procedure

    Hello guys of the Forum.

    is it possible to redirect specific users, once they connect.
    I think on page 101, the login procedure.

    I tried the following:

    Guess I'm the user someone.
    (I made an expression of pl/sql with apex_application.g_user and it gives me the username that I recover in the IF/ELSE paragraph below.)

    If apex_application.g_user in ('someone') then
    (wwv_flow_custom_auth_std). Login

    P_PASSWORD = >: P101_PASSWORD,.
    P_SESSION_ID = > v ('APP_SESSION').
    P_FLOW_PAGE = >: APP_ID | ': 425'
    );
    on the other
    (wwv_flow_custom_auth_std). Login
    P_UNAME = > v ('P101_USERNAME'),
    P_PASSWORD = >: P101_PASSWORD,.
    P_SESSION_ID = > v ('APP_SESSION').
    P_FLOW_PAGE = >: APP_ID | » : 1'
    );
    end if;

    But this way always lead me to page 1, rather than page 425

    Do you have ideas or other possible solution?

    What about Stefan

    Hello:

    A solution is proposed in this post Re: logon username determines the page that opens, how can I achieve this?

    Another way is to have your login page always go to a set of pages. In this page, you create a process before header which will then redirect users to their assigned pages.

  • Problems connecting to the internet with my wireless router

    I have a WRT54GS v7 wireless router that I use with a modem ADSL ZyXEL P-660R-D1. during installation, I was unable to establish a connection to the internet, once my router is properly connected to my desktop computer and my modem. All the correct lights on my modem and router are turned on. Please help, I tried to turn off the two as instructed by the installation wizard, but who failed to make the internet connection works and I continued the installation process after many attempts. At the end of the installation, he said that my router has been set up, but I don't have an internet connection. What should I do to fix this?

    The problem you are experiencing is caused by the fact that you Zyxel and your WRT54GS both try to use the same 192.168.1.x subnet.   Your WRT54GS will not work properly if you try to put the same subnet on the LAN ports and the port Internet (WAN).  Also to note that the installation wizard will not work in your situation, then stop using it.  You will need to manually configure your router.

    There are two ways to solve the problem:

    Option 1) Change the subnet in the WRT54GS.    To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) turn off your network

    (b) disconnect the WRT54GS of other devices.

    (c) connect a single computer via ethernet cable, a LAN on the WRT54GS port

    (d) turn on your computer and the WRT54GS

    (e) point your browser to 192.168.1.1 and connect to your WRT54GS

    (f) change "local IP address" 192.168.2.1, then click the 'Save Settings' button and wait (3 to 60 seconds) of the screen refresh.  You will be probably disconnected from the WRT54GS.  Don't worry about this.

    (g) take out your browser and turn off the WRT54GS and your computer.

    (h) then, using an ethernet cable, connect the Zyxel ethernet port to port Internet (WAN) of the WRT54GS.

    (i) power of your network.  It should work.

    You will now access your pages of configuration WRT54GS to 192.168.2.1

    Option 2) the other way to solve your problem is to change your Zyxel to 'bridge' mode  (You will need to consult your Xyxel user guide, or your ISP website, to find out how to do this).  This will convert the Zyxel a real modem, and then he won't get an IP address.  After that, you need to configure your WRT54GS to your PPPoE connection for you.

    I guess that your Zyxel is a PPPoE connection.  If we perform a PPPoA connection, then does not allow Option 2 because your WRT54GS is unable to make a PPPoA connection.

    Additional notes:

    You don't need to do both options.  Choose one or the other.

    For a more normal web use including browsing, email, downloads, etc., or another option should work fine.  If you are an online gamer, you will probably prefer option 2, because this will make it easier to set up many online games.

  • Suggestions for wireless router for a big house?

    Hello.

    I have a client's family who will be in a large walk-in (but on a hill giant hill as if she had two floors) House. About 88 feet seems to be the longest distance a small room with the new cable modem. This is based on the aerial shooting of Google Maps: http://zimage.com/~ant/temp/88ftLongestDistanceFromACableModemRoom.jpg (on the right/east side is a huge Hill with trees).

    An old Linksys WRT54GL router will be able to manage this far distance at high speeds and stability? If this isn't the case, then what wireless routers can do? It would be nice to have options of third-party firmware like the Linksys WRT54GL routers. Rapid speed Gigabit / fast local file also, transfers between the computers in the House! 100 Mbps is slow these days! Stability and support are too important. The routers didn't need to be later also.

    Thank you in advance.

    The maximum distance of this router is 100feet provided that there is no interference between the router and the computer. If you want to transfer local gigabit speed, so it is not possible with this router because it has port etherne is only 10/100. You may need to consider getting a Wireless N gigabit router (make sure that the wired adapter of the computer also is gigabit). For wireless connectivity make sure that the computer's wireless network adapter is dual-band N adapter.
