Rate model

I have a problem with the rate of a PXI 8109 RT controller model.

I'm running that one model, with simulink and compiled with real-time workshop.

Whatever step size I choose real-time workshop, I see the rate of correct model of the window "Add a simulation model" of Veristand, but when I actually add the template, I still see 100 Hz as a model in the model info window.

What Miss me?

Thank you

Matteo

Hello Matteo,.

It is a known problem with NI VeriStand 2011 which should be fixed in NI VeriStand 2011 SP1. The rate shown is just cosmetic and the model must always turn the rate you specified. To correct the rate displayed, you can click Refresh should update to the specified speed.

  • How to reduce the length of loop of HP

    Hello

I'm running a model with a rate of 5 kHz in a quad core 2 to 2.6 GHz computer.

If I put in "parallel" run mode model County is growing rapidly but the model rate keeps at 5 kHz.

Changing the mode of execution of "Low latency" model remains at 0, rate model County goes to 2.5 kHz and increases the number of HP.

The total allocation of processor of each carrot never passes over 58% in "Low latency" but reached 98% in "parallel".

I tried several combinations of basic allowances (auto / manual) for loops and model, but the main factor is always to run mode.

I have observed that, when you use a low latency, the length of loop of HP reached 218000 ns which explains why the model rate drops.

Is there another setting I can use to leave the system without cost overruns?

    See you soon,.

    Hello

I managed to include optimization during code generation options.

In the Simulation > Configuration settings > RealTime workshop > NI Configuration > compiler optimizations, I put "To promote a quick code" and got:

-size of the dll from 452 kb to 404 KB

-Model occupation CPU loop from 98% to 82%

    -7% to 23% control loop

-Data loop ranging from 8% to 49%

-Account template more fast to very slow.

It seems that now the model works more time and loop control and loop data have more work.

We will work in the model to make it easier we can.

  • How to slow the rate of model

    Hello

I'm just slow down my simulink (dll) model runs in Veristand. The model was compiled at a sampling frequency of 100 Hz and I have been able to slow the speed of the model running in Veristand by reducing the rate of the primary control loop, although he won't reduce anything lower than 10 Hz. My goal is to launch the model 100 x slower than real time. Is this possible? If so, how could I do that?

    Thank you

    Hello claw,

A basic rule concerning the models of simulation in VeriStand 2009 and 2010 is to run as slow as possible PCL.  Regarding onlymodels, it's the lowest divisible by all rates of the model.  (Other parts of the system may require the PCL to run faster).

For example, that model A was compiled at 25 Hz, model B at 75 Hz and model C at 100 Hz.  The lowest rate that is divisible by all models is 300 Hz, this is what you run the PCL to.  The next step and maybe the answer to your question is to define the "Décimation" integer for each model in System Explorer.  System Explorer, decimation is always in what regards the PCL.  Decimation 1 means 'at the PCL rate. "  2 decimation means 'every other iteration of the PCL' or 'half the rate of PCL.  Decimation model both for the model A = 12, B = 4 and C = 3 model.

The reason for the basic rule is that in VeriStand 2009 and 2010 models decimated are required to run a stage of time in an iteration of the PCL to be 'in time'.  In the previous case, models A, B and C each have 3.3ms to run once the step in parallel mode, otherwise they are fine.

  • Create a custom attribute to model the growth rate of the data store used space

I would like to see data warehouses are growing fastest of the environment in terms of GB per day or something similar.  Is it possible to use a custom attribute to apply a formula that measures the rate of growth of a store of data over time, which allows me to see what data stores fastest?

You would look for an average simple mobile for a SM you describe. vC Ops does not simple moving average formulas for SMs at this time.

Looks like you are looking for a "growth rate", but you really won't get it with the built-in attributes. You might look differently and look at the remaining capacity and the remaining time metric. Also, you could create additional widgets to view graphs of util % over the last 30-90 days to give a better picture of usage in GB, #VMs, etc.

I also suggest to make a Top - N showing use the lowest of the remaining time metric and the remaining ability... This will give you your data warehouses that are more at risk.

  • Rate of Apple TV and the framework

I'm trying to find some information on the video formats supported by Apple TV. Apple is seriously vague on this issue. Its website says

    H.264 video up to 1080 p, 60 fps

    Is that mean he done 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60?

    I also see on Wiki

    • Compatible TVs HDTV with HDMI and capable of 1080 p or 720 p 60/50 Hz.

Does this mean that he supports 29.97 and 30, 50 and 25?

    Thank you.

Apple TV will play all up to 60 fps frame rate (I think he will play more obscure too, he did it with previous models, but I haven't checked recently)

Yes there must be some kind pulldown otherwise in my view, there is a noticeable change in the height, it is also notable that 24 fps content is much smoother at 60 Hz to 50 Hz, which suggest that the output is converted

  • Fake Apple Watch heart rate data

I noticed something very weird with my Apple Watch. I stopped wearing for 2 weeks and during that time, I allowed the battery on the Apple Watch battery elapse. After the week 2 period I rebooted my Apple Watch again and noticed in the health App on my iPhone, the Apple Watch was started by sending dummy data of heart rate for the period of 2 weeks of time my Apple Watch is absent.

Then I noticed after a few days when I wore my Apple Watch in the night he continued to send fictitious data of heart rate.

The only way I could solve this problem was restoring the latest backup watch.

    Everyone knows this?

I have the 42mm so curious sport model.

    Thank you

    Hello

I did not personally this experience with my watch (sport 38mm watch OS 2.2).

However, I may be able to provide a little insight into the question:

Apple Watch knows when it is connected to its charger and will not trigger the sensor even if prompted, it seems more likely to me that one-third of the app is written to your healthy heart rate data.

To check, go to the health > Sources and listed under 'Apps' there should appear a list of allowed applications to interact with and write data.

You can check that these applications are not write data.

All the best and by all means keep me updated!

  • Is it possible to transfer music from an ipod 4G for the new model?

I got my ipod touch 4g since 2010 and I was too cheap to upgrade. Now that the battery life has been emptying faster than ever and high sleep button no longer works, I think its time to finally switch to this new model.

The bad part is that for the last 6 years, I have collected 12.6 GB worth of music on my ipod touch with nearly 85 per cent of it related to the device itself and not on my pc. I usually have the removed from the computer as Itunes would always keep always on my ipod touch as long as the songs were always listed in the library.

I was wondering is there a way to transfer my music from my old ipod touch to the new model?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • Issue of frame rates graph game on Satellite P750

    Hi guys,.

I need a second or third opinion on a question ive been seen with my new lappy. Its a Toshiba laptop with an Intel Corei7 2.2 GHz, 6 GB of RAM and a Nvidia Geforce GT 540 M graphics running 64-bit windows 7.

So, I drop in a game (splinter cell double agent), running on the resolution of 1366 x 768 (native resolution) and graphic options determined by the game. It works fine without any problem rate framework until after a minute or two when the screen starts glitching and popping (much like my xbox made before the death of the graphics unit) accompanied by a temporary freeze on about 10 seconds, which makes the game unplayable.

I thought that perhaps this meant the laptop could not handle the graphics, but I retried with the resolution to 640 x 480 and the graphics to a minimum, to my great surprise it went well again for a minute or two before bursting and glitching and again with the gel (although it seems a little worse with graphics high).

So I thought well, maybe my laptop is overheating?
I stalled upward on one of these trays to cool cookies on and aiming a desk home fan. but the problem persists.

    My directX drivers? updated.
    Video card drivers? Nope.
Shut down unnecessary background processes? did not help.
Increase virtual memory limit? its about 30 GB already.
Change your options from nvidia? all together for the performance
Change your power settings? all together for maximum performance

Is it because it is a 32-bit game? Perhaps, but it works smoothly at first. Also, half-life 2 has the same problem and im told it is 64-bit.

    I'm out of ideas

If the unit could just handle it I would have thought that I would have to rate shows constant frame from the first second. Its a shame because for that it runs smooth its all simply amazing.

Any help would be appreciated, sorry for the long post.

Can you tell us what model of Toshiba you have anyway?
Are you using the original OS that you got with your laptop?

If you use the laptop for all activities of the day is everything is OK? Have you noticed this problem all in game only?
Have you tested the graphics performance with some older games?

each of you know how 2 have 85 Hz refresh rate 2 use in this model

I would be gratfull to have your help and I am glad 2 hove, some of you as a friend.

    Hello, my friend

At first I try to understand your nickname, but unfortunately without success. Is there maybe a hidden message? ;)

In any case, your ad is really amazing. LCD technology is truly the best for the eyes and the content is illustrated flicker. The old monitors refresh rate of 60 Hz was quite low and result flickered photo. Higher discount rates using the image was stilly and flicker.

LCD technology is different and standard setting is 60 Hz. In my opinion you should speak with your family doctor. Maybe you need glasses when working on PC. I have some colleagues in my office who use glasses when working on PC.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Increase the rate of target on Veristand

    Hello

I am a novice user of Veristand. I'm doing a feedback from control with the help of a compactRIO:

    RT OR cRIO-9024

    Chassis cRIO-9113

    9220 and 9263 modules.

I use Veristand with a compiled since Simulink model to make my will.

I want to be able to reach frequencies of 10 KHz loop or more, but the loop of the target rate freezes the system when I try to go beyond 700 Hz.

    Is it possible to do?

My model is very simple, for now, I'm simply connect the 9220 1 entry at the exit of the 9263.

    Thank you in advance,

    Kind regards

    Rates

    Hi prices.

The 9024 is unable to run NI VeriStand at your desired pace. As you can see, it tops out around 700 Hz. There are several reasons for this, but the end result is that you will need different hardware to run at your desired pace. A 9082 will be much faster, and a SMU-8135 will be even faster than that. Also if you use PXI, if you only need of IO and no treatment only Co, our PXI DAQ devices allow you to hit the NIVS rates much faster than the PXI FPGA devices.

    Good luck!

  • Size of the model step

    Hello

    I have a PXI-8106RT controller.

I'm trying to run a model (dll), created under Matlab. It is a regulator of voltage/current. It is allowed when the model is compiled with a 10 kHz step size.

But when I go up to 100 kHz, the model does not work very well because the pattern string Count increases significantly over time.

I need to run the model at 10 MHz.

Is there a way to do this? What I have to put something under Matlab for better performance? Do I need a better controller?

    Thank you

    Hi Alexandra,.

It depends on the model and the hardware configuration, but no, I don't expect to see more than 15 kHz on a 8133.

However, there are a few other options that might be possible to achieve a faster rate.

    1. we have worked on a custom internal device that manages the models outside the normal framework of VeriStand at a much faster pace.  VeriStand engine still works at the lower rate (e.g., 1 kHz), but a separate loop takes an acquisition of input data, executing a template and writing a DAQ output.  This model works at a much faster pace and communicates the current values of the VeriStand engine VeriStand rate.  With this technique, we were able to run complex models on a 8133 about 50 kHz.  Simpler models were executed near 140 kHz.

Depending on your configuration, this might be a possibility for you.  If you are able to provide us with your model (.mdl file preference, so we can make sure that it is compiled optimally), we could compare it to you and give an estimate for the maximum rate that we can run it.

    2. from your description of the model, it seems very simple.  Simply a voltage/current controller.  If this is the case, perhaps this logic could then be implemented on a FPGA Board instead of a model.  The FPGA can read an entry, the rules and write an output without needing all the resources of your processor from RT.  Provided that the calculation is not too complex, you can run this VERY quickly.  However, I still don't think that you would be able to reach 10 MHz.  The limiting factor would probably be on our FPGA boards analog sampling rates.  The planks of the PXI-785XR can enjoy HAVE to 750 kHz and AO output at 1 MHz.  If we talk about analog signals, it would be difficult to find something much faster than that.  If it's just digital TTL points out, however, they can go a lot faster at this Board (ie. 40 MHz).

I'm always curious to know what your app is and why you need this race at this rate.  If we had a better understanding of your request and what you hope to accomplish, perhaps we could provide better guidance.  If you wish, you can send me a private message with your details, and I can get you in touch with a resource in your area that specializes in these application areas.

    Kind regards

    Devin

  • Maximize the continuous digital data recording rate

I'm trying to record digital data clocked outside large amounts quickly.  The data is only for post-processing.  What is the best way to get data from the port on the hard drive at the fastest possible pace?

I connect using a PCIe 6537 B.  I log on 4, ports of 8 bits to 40,92 Mhz, so a rate of ~ 160MBytes per second.  I have two designs I've tried so far (a producer-consumer architecture and a DAQ.mx configure logging design).  Both models work if I connect only on two ports (effectively halfing the necessary flow) but fail to the width of 32 bits.

My producer consumer architecture fails after about 30 seconds of recording successful message

Error - 200613: Acquisition was stopped to avoid a crushing of the input buffer.

My other DAQ.mx configures logging design fails quickly (~ 1 sec) with

    200361 error: Overflow memory on-board

    .

I could be set it up incorrectly.  As I said, it works with 16-bit data width.  I don't know if the increase in the width of the data directly is the problem or if the increased flow to fail.

I use this on a 3 GB ram windows xp using labview in 2012.  I have attached the vi of my two attempts and a picture of the DAQ.mx set the logging design.

Well, I'd suggest the integrated PDM recording method would probably be you give best results, assuming that it works at all.  This record type opens a DMA channel of the material on the hard drive so it should not produce copies of useless data, which would probably be a producer consumer loop.

I never tried logging TDMS without reading the data, a Read DAQmx should be used in the loop?  Your file contains TDMS data?

The challenge of your hard drive?  It is a flat disk of laptop?  I recommend you test on a SSD, if possible, just to see.

There are also properties to open up to a size of memory buffer.

Start with one of the logging TDMS basic examples delivered with LabVIEW and work your way up from there.
