  I have a problem with access to the internet on Windows Vista Business x 64 on VMware Workstation 6.5. My computer is Windows 7 professional 64-bit. I left everything default settings. On my host computer, I have my connection wireless connected to my router to get a IP through DHCP and it is connected and on the internet. I also have more than 2 connections, VMware Network Adapter VMnet1 VMnet 8 are listed as no access Internet under Access Type and are listed as unidentified network. On my guest OS I am connected via Nat and when I start first of all my virtual machine that my network card shows as connected with local and internet access but after 5 seconds it only local changes. My host uses a system of IP of 192.168.1.x and my guest operating system is using 192.168.19.x. I don't know where to start. I tried google and know disp.   Hi, I noticed recently that my computer (Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) is unable to sleep automatically when it is connected to the internet with a cable modem. Change the settings for my current power mode and try a different feeding regime (diagrams of Windows XP default power and power management, I created) only solves the problem for 2 days at most. I also tried to change the settings for the other power plans mentioned, and yet once again, the problem was only set for two days at the most. I also tried turning off my computer, restarting my computer, recording Powercfg /Restore Default policies in Run, saving sfc/scannow in Run, and again, I got the same result. Reset and power cycling the modem cable is not helped either. To help you better understand the problem, for example, if I had the date set for the screensaver set to 1 minute, the time for the monitor to turn off set to 2 minutes and time for your computer set to 3 minutes, the screen saver activate after 1 minute, the monitor turns off after 2 minutes, but the computer would not sleep mode after 3 minutes , even after an hour or more. I tried to check the Task Manager, and I have not noticed any process that would be interrupting the day before. However, I noticed that when I turned on the monitor by moving the mouse, even when the computer was unable to sleep and unplugged the ethernet cable from the cable modem and waited, the computer has entered standby as it should have.  I tried to find a solution for more than a week, contributions for this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. (Update: it seems that the problem is something else then my cable modem.)

  2. Click change Onecare settings.

  My phone (Samsung A NP550P5C-S02AU running windows 7 Home premium) does not connect to the modem (which is a D-link DSL-2740 b - F1)

  For the past few weeks that I was able to fix this by resetting the modem/restart the laptop and I also did a full restore on the computer laptop but also completely reset the modem and updated the firmware. I also tried two different wireless, WPA and WPA2 security settings that solved the problem (although surprisingly, it worked for a few days during the passage of to WPA). For the last two days the laptop was not able to connect to the internet outside a few times where the connection lasted 2-5 minutes. We have several computers and portable devices in the House who seem to have no problem connecting to the internet, so I'm not sure of what could be the problem.

  If you are using Vista, go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll down to EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations.  Once done, do the same for LNK entry.  This should restore your programs and get the Internet icon to go to the internet rather than WMP.  If you use Windows 7, go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. If you are using XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm.

  I just turn on the download via connections counters my PC-> devices config->download via connections counters

  and then I tried to enter the following command at the command prompt run as administrator

  netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

  Hello.. I'm current to rejuvenate an old computer medion laptop...

  Initially, the h/d is dead... so it was set up a few months ago... most recently I brought a new h/d and mounted everything ok... installed a base xp home service pack 2.i knew I lost drivers system Basic... so after some research, I found compatible driver pack for: sound, bios internet (wireless and ethernet) and graphics... etc... I installed from a disc like reiceved and followed the instructions and all the drivers installed correctly... If everything works apart from the internet... all the shows to work ok but no connection.

  wire conn shows like UN-plugged... and wireless is unsuccessfully to conn... When the two are reliable services of work... and work very well with the other c p. I checked all known parameters of the internet... and everything is ok... any assistance with this would be greatly appreciateted... much thanks deano...
