Caching issues

Hello

I'm makes channel push and thrust of a website for BB cache so that it is available offline. The push includes images, Web pages, and js files.

When I close the simulator of BB and BES and reopen before 12 hours have elapsed, I can access all the pages without any problems.

However, if I test the Web site after 12 hours, I get a message - "the network is currently unavailable, however an old version of the page you have requested is available in the cache. Want to see the old page.

I won't put any cache control directives.

"What I read in the documentation, I thought that the pages and images should be cached for 29 days--

If a timeout is not set explicitly for an element, the element is removed from the cache after 29 days. »

The tests were conducted:

BES 4.1.4

simulators - 4.1.104.2.1, 4.2.2 4.3.0

No one knows what happens after 12 hours. Should I cache control directives?

Thank you

Andrew

Sorry, please ignore that last post, it works with 3 characters for the month.

  • Trapcode caching issues

Someone else has raised this issue in October 2013and I already sent a support ticket to Trapcode, but I thought I'd check here to see if someone has found another solution.

Essentially, Trapcode particular still won't let After Effects know that the value of a parameter has been changed, and hence the overall Performance cache needs to be reset. The only way to fix it is to purge the memory after each change. If you don't do this, you get a glitching effect as seen in the file video & scene I've linked to below.

Early 2015 13inch MBP, 16 GB of RAM.

I noticed at the opening of nominations for the first time, despite the PCI storage theres a delay of 3-4 seconds for anything to open it.

An example is going to 'file - system Preferences.

Once I close and reopen this fall to close 0.8 second and his quick stays for the rest of the session.

I'm guessing it's probably down to how OS x caches? I performed tests on the disc and the scores came right back, one knows if I can see the disk access time?

    Thank you

I'm not sure the cache, an oddity for sure.

However, there are few benefits to stop after each use. If you close the lid, sleep is more than enough.

By closing down or reboot you should let the OSX stop all apps and have the box checked to let the OSX open these applications up.

    It is highly more effective.

See if there is a difference that allows the system handle it.

  • TOC on IE caching issue

    Hi all

    RH10 to webhelp

I just got a call from a current customer. He reports that they are OCD caching problems in Internet Explorer only. A subject and a book in the table of contents that we removed in the last updates always appear in the table of contents, but are obviously dead links to the topics that no longer exist. He said they have deleted the folder and replaced it entirely with the new output files. They clear the cache, but they keep appearing. They do not have this problem in Chrome, he said.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Laurie

Speaking of meta tags, I discovered something interesting yesterday.

If you paste the tags in thetag on the master page, they do not appear in the output. If, however, you paste into the "header" of Robohelp area, they are automatically copied into thetag and appear in the output.

(Originally, I managed to work around the problem by including them in the presentation of the screen (HTML5 Multiscreen) but this workaround is probably easier).

  • Image on the side of client caching issues

PCoIP size strategy set up client image cache said that he supports the Linux clients but page 4 of the guide PCoIP work net gives says that the Linux client are not.  See photos attached.

If anyone knows who is correct?

If anyone knows where the client cache is saved on a Windows client that I could navigate?

    Thank you!

CSC is on by default and works with Windows and Linux clients. The GPO cannot be applied to Windows clients. More our GPO is part and then usually controls the behavior on the client, we do this for various reasons. However, this is not the case here.

To change the configuration of the Linux client a configuration file exists.

How can I fix it? I also need to fix this without losing any images edited, I have images that I have edited and need to give back to customers. "

    Help

Please you will be contacted in a non-technical fashion.

    Thank you

    Christine

In non-techie speak... your preview cache is damaged and needs to be deleted.

Using the Explorer/Finder, go and find your Lightroom catalog file... inside you will find a file called "yourcatalogname Previews.LRDATA", go ahead and delete it (take great care that you do NOT delete the file ending with LRCAT). Then Lightroom should start, although now all your previews have disappeared, but you can either let Lightroom gradually build you import images in the grid or film, or you can use the menu command library > Previews > render Standard previews.

  • Modules of the app and objects of entity-caching issue

    Hello

I'm working on an application that allows users to distribute scholarship funds to students. My main page uses a table based on a view object App Module has to display the information of the student. The attributes of this VO are based on an entity object, let's call it "foo." This page has a dynamic region popup to allow to define details of the scholarship... the called pre-existing taskflow creates new lines in the objects view App Module b, whose attributes are also mapped to EO foo or mapped to an EO with associations with the foo.

So, with the new lines created, I quit my dynamic region, re - run my application Module has VO, and... no line. It is my understanding that, even if the your were in different Modules App, the fact they were using attributes based on the same EO would allow the lines created to persist in a cache of the entity. Within taskflow the dynamics of the region, there is another outcome where lines are displayed in VO that exists in the App Module b... so I'm pretty confident that my lines are created...

Is there some steps needed to pass data between modules app? Is it impossible? I lose the EO cache when switching between taskflows? Or something else could be the problem?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately your understanding "that the your were in different Modules of the application, the fact that they used the same EO-based attributes would allow the lines created to persist in a cache of the entity '... is incorrect.

As you are 'reuse' OS through the AMs, the OS cache is instantiated two times, one for each AM, because AMS have entirely separate transactions (to the AMs of the nested exception... but you don't mention you have nested for your AMs so I figure that's irrelevant for you). This is the point of the AMs, separate transactions, so the behavior you're seeing. If you made your sub 2 the same AM, you would be able to reuse the cache of 'foo' EO. Nesting potentially your AMs under a parent AM would have the same effect.

Note, it becomes a little more complicated in a workflow scenario, because workflows can instantiate separate transactions on a single AM optionally.

Yes, we need the IE conditional. IE uses a different method to integrate flash.

What you are doing is fine, even if you don't need to do this way.

Your index.html could have observed the content.php , which added the random variable, you asked (if .htaccess you fear).

    for example content.php:

  • Why should I clear my cache on average every 30 minutes?

On average, every 30 minutes or so, when I opened a new tab or refresh only a current tab, the page is completely distorted, links or text missing and other various caching issues. Why this happens so often? It is very annoying that I have to manually clear my cache every 30 minutes... If I get up to eat or to watch a show or any other number of things... when I return from my browser does not cache pages correctly and I have to delete it manually each time.

This happened to me in the past and finally disappeared... but after I updated the browser, he began to do this again. I'll have to resort to using Internet Explorer against my will just so that I'm not bothered by that. How can this be fixed for good?

If you happen to have a PC/computer Samsung laptop, this problem of random cache of compensation has been associated with a program called Samsung Help Center. You can search around to see if there is a fix, or if he's still the best solution to uninstall.

  • Beginner jQuery is having trouble with the links and the page redirect and page caching.

    Hi all

I'm trying to update an old legacy of multipage site (each page has headers html etc.), adding jQuery Mobile. Most of the time it goes well, but I'm having some problems with the links, the redirect of the page, and caching.

    I write javascript like this...

    < script >

    -do things - then-

    Window.Location.Replace ("Page1.html");

    < /script >

    and links like this

    < a class = "-ui ui-btn-b btn tsize1" href = "page2.html" rel = "external" > page 2 < /a > "

    CACHING ISSUES

On many pages - such as those that I have problems with, I've added no caching of code as...

    < head >

    < META HTTP-EQUIV = "Pragma" CONTENT = "no-cache" >

    < META HTTP-EQUIV = "Expires" CONTENT = "-1" >

    < head >

Problem: for example, I can go to Page 1 and click on a link to go to page 2 and page 2 has the lines "no cache" header. The problem is that a fresh change of page 2 does not appear even with no cache lines above and even if I hit refresh in the browser that I thought it was supposed to reload the page (live get of the site). On the contrary, it seems to continue to see the old content before the update.

In another case I could be on page 21 and click on a link that goes to the publicationfootnote22 and made a few treatment database and then goes to the page33. In this case, my fees top22 updates are not appearing and showing just the old cache data.

Q: what is the best way, at least while I am writing code, to force the Page to refresh (non-cache), I can see my updates all the time, because otherwise it becomes very confusing because I'm sure you know.

    Thanks in advance: Dave

    Hi Dave,.

Are you handy with your developer tools? It's always where I head when I need to look inside something. Before getting anywhere in addition or developed, check the response code you get for the page request and see what is the numeric code. If it is 200, you get a new copy. If it is 304 then your browser is striking the same content or something in your UI is to preserve the previously loaded document fragment.

Photos make it easy, Chrome this is grabbing a small page for the first time and with disable cache enabled, and we get the status code 200:

If I keep refreshing with "Disable cache" activated so I keep getting GET/200, copy fees.

However, delete the "disable cache" to speed things up and the server and the client negotiate and check if she even needs to send you the document (if she thinks she's changed), and if not, of course you GET/304, or "load cache:

Whenever I update I get GET/304, hitting the cache.

Make sure your requests are GET/200 if you expect not to be cached.

  • Is there a problem with caching with DPS

Faced with a single question. When I create a folio he referred to redundent files all in construction that are not used in the folio, and then the build downloads to the producer of folio. Could there be a caching issue and how can I clear the cache of DPS (not the cache of indesign). After awhile, it displays the network feared error message.

I hope you are on Windows:

Close InDesign and follow the steps below:

    1. go to the C: drive.

    2. click the button hold on the upper left side.

    3. click on the search folder option.

    4. click the view tab and select show all hidden points.

    5. apply and ok.

  • DB 9.2.0.8 high library cache latch

We have AIX 5 L (5.3) server with 8 power 6 CORES 4200 MHz (hyperthreading enabled, so 16 CPU virtual) and database Oracle 9.2.0.8 (migration to 11 GR 2 will next year occur). Database is part of the configuration of dataguard with 1 expectation of maximum availability mode database.

Our night work (use to run in 30 parallel sessions in PL/SQL) suffers a statement cache large library (11% free, but sometimes he goes over 20%, then divide by two locking latches are cache library and library cache pins). Database and SQL, we have resolved several times, we have reduced the random disk operations, events, affirmation of channels cache buffer, removed waiting buffer busy but after each issue of optimization of the library cache locks grew (we just found another bottleneck). DB used to analyze the 3 500-4500 per second during this work (due to a bug SYS_CONTEXT), now it's just 45 per second, so we have reduced the number of library cache searches, too.

In the following report statspack (I na not paste entire file, just gerenal information, wait events, statistics, locks and TOP SQL by analysis of calls) we have:

    < li > analysis count (total) 117 058
< Li > TOP SQL by parsed (this is recursive SQL, hv = 3286148528) 70 187

In fact, more than 70% of searches of library cache are caused by recursive 2 SQL (like many, I know, recursive SQL is still ignoring session_cached_cursors). I have 8 physical CŒURS, Oracle has created in 9i 17 latches cache library at the start of the instance. I thought most waits on research of library cache were caused by a lock child (because of SQL hv = 3286148528), but I was definitely wrong. Snapshot of v$ latch_children, I've done every 3 minutes and wait were evenly distributed between all the 17 locks .
I don't understand why I expected "library cache" upper 3times then "pine cache library" (WHERE kglupc: child and kglpnc: child). In most our databases (with research in lc low and high run count), we have the two latches at the same level.  . Any ideas would be appreciated

It is also good to mention that srver is 0 inactive when the job is running (but our goal is to complete the process as soon as possible). There are no other database on the server, of course.

  • Your library cache issue relates to your 42 000 executions per second, not your 45 analysis per second.
Looks like you need to find a way to keep some run very frequently statements in a pinned - what is in your Top SQL by executions, and state how it is called the pl/SQL? I wouldn't hire me what anyone at the moment, but cursor_space_for_time setting to true may be relevant to your case.

  • Cache problems with Internet Explorer - SCORM quiz loading modules

Hi, as mentioned in a previous thread I created several SCORMS using Captivate 4 and use Moodle to manage learning. The SCORMS contains a presentation and a short multiple-choice quiz. We are having problems with SCORMS not opening on first page, but rather around the quiz section.

    Internet Explorer-
Scenario #1. If the user launches a SCORM of Moodle for the first time the module load early on, the first slide (desired result).
Scenario #2. If a user launches a SCORM a later date, after having already failed the quiz, the module will be loaded at the beginning of the quiz (not result desired, but can live with it).
Scenario #3. If the user starts a module a later date, after having previously passed the quiz, the module loads the results page and now shows a failure (certainly not aim).

    Firefox-
The problem described above is not a factor. Regardless the user rank past that the module will initially launch the first slide, whenever it is launched. But Firefox does not results in Moodle notebook.

    CP settings

The acceptance and rejection in Captivate settings are set to ' go to ' slide 1. The results are passed to the notebook without problem, but it is a problem in the third scenario, if a user launches accidentally after module have successfully earned a pass. Someone at - he encountered this problem and managed to force the module to launch on the first page? Ideally don't want to remind users in clear cache every time when you use IE.

    Any help is appreciated!
    Thank you

    Hello

It is not a cache issue - is in fact of Captivate in "resume function" that does this.

You must disable this "feature" in Captivate yourself. Access reports settings in Captivate and click LMS customization settings in the lower right. Check the box "never send RESUME data", and then republish your SCORM package.

    Ed,

can you identify the target system via IP or name?

I guess it could be a DNS caching and local cache issue...
