CAkey 98 (CAD software) works in windows edition Home premium?

I'm using cadkey in windows 2000 Professional, but I need to buy a new computer.

and must continue to work with cadkey.

I suggest if possible, you buy a computer preloaded with Windows 7 Professional, this will give you access to the free Windows Virtual PC with Windows XP Mode software, which allows you to operate your CAD software. If you can't get it preloaded with Windows 7 Professional, then buy an Express upgrade

http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/26/Windows-7-anytime-upgrade-%E2%80%93-unlocking-more-benefits/

I doubt that its compatible, but you can try to run in compatibility mode when you get the computer and see if it works.

You can find more information on compatibility modes in the articles below:

I doubt that Windows 2000 will work on your new computer, as many modern computers are progressively support for Windows XP, (so you can imagine what would be supported in Windows 2000). Although Windows 2000 and XP share the same model of driver, not all drivers are guaranteed to work, especially when you think of an old BONES of 11 year running on a computer of 2011.

    Hello Gemard,

Streets and trips 2008, 2009 and 2010 are compatible with Windows 7. Earlier versions may not work, however you can try and use Compatibility Mode.

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and run the program compatibility problems:

    1. open the troubleshooting program compatibility Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button.

Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under programs, click on run programs for previous versions of Windows.

    2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

If it is not a success, since you're under Windows 7 Home Premium, you can search for 3rd party software of vitualization that works on Home Premium and run Streets and Trips in a virtual environment.

If please reply back and let us know if it helped to answer your questions.

These links, but somehow the download get interrupted whenever I tried to download windows 7 Free Download Manager, Internet Explorer, chrome, and Internet Download Manager

even I tried to download from a different ISP to different computer who does not, but still downloading does not.

It stops after download of mbs, then the speed drops to-0 bytes and then I won't get any speed, but if I restart again the download will begin. Sometimes it does not starts and redirects the page where I get the error 404 not found link.

On chrome and internet explore downloads stop it shows that it is downloaded, but when I see the file size, it is only about 500 MB or some time 2.5 GB. I tried to download a large file of them they download quiet well medium is not interrupted.

My internet connection is slow to 1 Mbps in my city there is no connection over 4 Mbps.

Looks like I need to have a no lower than 50 Mbps connection speed to download this file. :(

    Now the links above

the link no. 4 does not work for me, it says to contact technical support after that enter my product key, so I asked the support chat Microsoft to see how is going to get the windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and then they gave me links to the last link given by them is no. 1. No. 3, I got from Google search.

Nevermind, I got an ISO SP1 Win7 Ultimate x 64 Microsoft technical support representative. It was the same md5 sum and file as one that I received a German site that had mirrored all TechNet downloads and Digital River. The key has been saved successfully valid and active. Phew.

So, as mentioned before, the recovery software page is extremely buggy and often fails to validate, or in my case, after the first trials, charge at all. It was down for several hours, even after I had installed Win7 and was able to get online.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed. Some licenses for Windows distributed to tertiary level students are not perpetual, which means that you cannot continue to use the software after a course or graduating.

  • Family Pack with upgrade 3 license code does not work for Windows 7 Home Premium

I bought Windows 7 Home Premium, with upgrade license 3 Family Pack.

Yes, it is a genuine Microsoft product, bought at best buy original and worked fine on another PC.
I tried to update one of my HP Pavilion yesterday which came with Windows Vista. Installation works well, but at the point where he asks me the license code, he says, it's the bad code and there is nothing I can do to go.
    Help, please.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

I don't know exactly what problem you are having with the Clipboard, but the following link can help for a potential problem.  If this isn't the case, answer with more details on what is the problem.
