  These are calculated values (column 2) taken on a specific time of the day (column 1).
  I managed to create a third using a built-in function to get the time slot (column 3).

  In Apple "Numbers", in order to update a spreadsheet each time that the values are added, I first need to calculate the number of days between the date of first entry and last date, using the COUNTA() method. Gives me the line number of the last entry.  For this I "CONCATENATE" a column letter known to a cell reference.

  Using this cell reference, I would like to know how can I use the contents of the cell to update the information contained in the rest of the worksheet. Is this possible?

  What program of worksheet that you are using? Since you have a newer iMac running El Capitan, I can safely assume that you use NOT AppleWorks, which is a Power PC application that can run on any OS newer than the snow leopard, OS X 10.6.8.

  If you use numbers, try to repost your question in numbers for Mac forum. If you use Microsoft Excel, try posting in the Microsoft forums. LibreOffice also has community support.

But if I tell the system to just subtract the two, I get "0,118. Everything I find on the forum search goes beyond what I need. Can someone help me?

  Departure and arrival of the cells are in Date and time with Date format: no and time: 24-hour clock.

  

  Formula in D2 (fill down)

  = C2−B2

  

  The results become a duration format, but under automatic (numbers automatically worth this format)

  

  If you wish, you can change the cells of lasting results.

  I'm a math major Bachelor's degree. Sometimes I use a projector to check my calculations. However, when calculating the modulo (%) negative numbers by using spotlight, the calculator returns inaccurate answers. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or why it could be (apart from the bad coding)?  For example, it returns,

  -2 %3 =-2 and -1 = - 1 %3.

  However, if you were to Google "-2 %3 ', or calculate this in Wolfram Alpha, R, C, Python, etc. you see:

  -2 %3 = 1 and -1 %3 = 2.

  These are indeed the right answers like:

  -2 = 3*(-1) + 1et -1 = 3*(-1) + 2

  I submitted via the official channel on this subject, but I thought I'd post here to draw attention to the problem.  I hope Apple solves this problem for the large number of students who use their products is not misled.

  It depends on the definition of the % operator. You expect it to be an operator "rest". Spotlight uses the same library as Xcode which defines it as a true modulo operator.

  Disconcerting symptom... working in file of numbers with four worksheets. One cannot calculate anything, all the rest are fine.

  I tried format cell data corresponding to the leaves 'automatic', 'number', 'currency' - three spreadsheets are fine, one can simply not compute anything.

  See chart - sum appears on one, is Virgin on the other.

  Hoping that the software isn't broken... what could cause this?
