Calculation of Macintosh HD

Hi people,

Sierra on my MacBook Air, I installed the other day and now I have HD has calculated since!

I don't know if something is wrong or if the HD is when defective after install, but everything seems works well just the SSD saying its calculation.

Cyber Hello,

I understand that, since the upgrade to Mac OS Sierra, the storage of the about this Mac pane stated that it is the calculation. In such a situation, it can often help to rebuild your Mac Spotlight indexes.

  • Really, how much space is used on my Macintosh HD partition?

    Hello

Here is what I get when I want to know how much of my Macintosh HD partition is used:

Why disk utility say that GB 218,6 is used, but 695 GB for apps + 7.05 GB for photos + 16,07 GB of the 12.37 GB for video music = 730,62 GB is used?

How come there is such a difference in the used section is calculated?

I intend to create a second partition to do a dual boot, but what is the maximum size allowed for my second partition? Disk utility seems to allow 999.03 - 218, 6 = 780.43 GB, but we must rather 999.03 - 730.62 = 268,41 GB?

    Thanks for the replies

  • base newspaper Scientific Calculator

    Hi guys,.

I searched online for documentation on the basic button y log in scientific calculator iOS but I could not find.

    What is it?

What is the inverse logarithmic function?

If so what base? Base 10, 2 or e?

    Thanks for the help.

This isn't an inverse logarithm, it is one logarithm using any other basis as the existing buttons for base 10 or base 2 logarithms.  The "y" is any basis you want to use for the logarithm.

Suppose you want the logarithm of base 4 of the number 12 (i.e. log4 12).  The keystrokes you would use would be:

    • 12
    • Logie
    • 4
    • =
  • Leave my Calculator only recording not in the latest issue

I have been using the calculator that comes with OS X to keep my checkbook balanced for a few years. In general/system preferences, I don't have not 'Close them windows when you exit an application' checked. This should I want to open the calculator with the last number still saved. He has in the past, but since the upgrade to Mac os Sierra, calculator saves what I had (except on the Strip). Is there something I can do to recover this feature?

I can check your results even if I do not remember if she previously recorded the last number. I don't know if it's a change of function or a bug etc, but I think it's something Apple should change. You could install PCalc for the App Store. It is not free, but it does a lot more.

  • In the Sierra how to purge the Macintosh HD

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, early 2013) and am upgrading of El Cap of Sierra.

Sierra storage tab "about this Mac" said that the Macintosh HD 70 GB which is purgeable.

How to purge the Macintosh HD?

If you look closely at the screenshot above, you can see a small white-with-gray-striped section. This is what Apple calls Purgeable, and it indicates that these are really old files that you possibly can archive, save it in the cloud or delete to free up storage space.

You need to do the above manually

  • How to restore the calculator application to drag it to the top of the screen to control

Can how I restore the calculator to drag it to the top of the screen to control center? It seems to have been removed from the bottom row? Thank you

Are - what you got to remove the calculator of your applications on the phone? You can find the calculator on the phone itself? If you find it, then try a reset. Hold down the home and sleep/wake together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. There are no settings to change what appears on the display. See if the reset solves your problem.

EDIT: what exactly you see in the Control Center? If you see only controls the music, then drag to the right to see the rest of the access to the control center.

  • Turn off the calculator keyboard sound iOS 10

How to disable sounds click on keyboard in the calculator? "Keyboard clicks" is DISABLED in the settings.

Me too, I am extremely frustrated with this change. For those of us who do not support the keyboard clicks, this regression is super boring!

  • Power Macintosh g3 in a Beige boot problem

My 1998 Power Macintosh G3 all in one does not start. It started yesterday, but now when I press the key on the keyboard, nothing happens. I opened the back and nothing seemed wrong, but the battery was a bit dusty.

    What should I do?

Also, if I got this thing working again, how do you think I could sell this thing, with a keyboard and a mouse?

    Thank you!

Have you checked the voltage of the battery with a multimeter? With some Macintosh models, a low battery voltage may lead to unexpected problems, including production difficulties.

  • Turn off the calculator clicks in iOS 10

How to disable the sound of rattling when using the calculator application in iOS 10?  Keyboard clicks are already disabled in settings > sounds and is not the solution.

The clicks seem to be controlled by ring settings. Using the Mute button will work, while reducing the amount could also reduce the ring volume.

Maybe we should use the comments link to get the clicking sound of the calculator to silence again in a future update iOS:

  • How can I disable the rattling of the calculator in iOS 10

I actually use the calculator a little and I wear headphones to work.  The click is pretty boring, and the only solution I've come across is to cut off all the sounds that defeats the point of all the notification sounds that I use.  Please close the click or give me a way to make everything by letting other aspects only.  NOT an improvement.

It is mainly a user support forum. I expected settings > sounds > keyboard clicks could solve the problem for you, but it doesn't. You can make a suggestion to Apple on http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • calculator will not calculate

When you try to calculate what percentage one number is another number, the calculator does not give the right answer. It's something that started the month last in my IPhone 6. For example, dividing 5 by 10 and press the percent key. The answer given est.1. Divide 10 by 5 and the answer given est.05. Of course, I know how to get the right answer, but since it is a recent change in the IPhone calculator, I wonder if a key has been changed in an update or if there is something else wrong. I could any ideas or suggestions on something, have done to cause the problem?

The calculation you just described is 5 divided by 10% (e.g. 0.1). To complete the calculation, you must press the = button.

  • Power Macintosh G3 with dual monitors high resolution

I hope this info will help someone wanted to run two large screens monitors (4:3) on the Power Macintosh G3 Beige minitour. My results resonance of an earlier post that I started, which was DVI PCI Card/s for G3 minitour, but all ended up as I felt the need of a new subject header.

It seems that nobody had actually done what I was trying to do, there was no guarantee it was possible. However, several of you gave some excellent suggestions to try and you all are help and many more read and experiment, I "cracked the nut.

So, I wanted to point out here know how it worked, so that anyone wishing to run two monitors to modern flat screen with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 on a Beige G3 minitour could do without having to go through what I had to. I guess that would apply to the version of office as well, but not sure.

The first thing to know is that, according to the specifications of apple, the machine MUST have the 333 MHz motherboard, as something that less will take NOT supported above resolution 1280.

Second, I never two screens connected to both VGA cards (I got two of them in the PCI slots). It was suggested I zap the PRAM, but that does not work.

So, using the DB15 video port as the monitor 1 factory, I had to have a VGA adapter. I tried 3 different Mac to VGA adptrs., and no matter how I set the dip-switch, it wouldn't work. Suddenly something occurred to me. If the G3 (333 MHz) would support 1600 and the monitor would support 1600, why do we need switches. Just adapt the mounting.

So, I bought a DB15 VGA right adpt. with no switch just to adapt the VGA cable connection. Here's the interesting thing. After that I started and got on the desk, my HR monitor (attached to the VGA PCI card) was 1600, but LH monitor has NOT been set to 1600. So, I went to the CP monitors to see if he has shown as available. It IS there, but in italics, which normally means is not available. Just to smile and laugh, I decided to click on it anyway, and when I did, a window come indicating that I had chosen to change screen resolutions and confirm my choice. What to lose, right? So, I clicked on OK and, lo and behold, it changed to 1600 x 1200. Now, the two screens are in 1600 x 1200, whenever I start. I was blown away. Either way, monitors that I chose were fantastic... Dell UltraSharp 2007FPb (Ratio 4:3).

If it helps one person, I will be happy.

Tom's excellent work, thanks for the report, I wondered what happened.

  • Numbers are perpetually my 18MO spreadsheet calculation.  All solutions?

My spreadsheet numbers was good up to that point.

After that I added in other new formulas, it happens suddenly.

I thought that by removing some unused leaves, it could improve, but nothing has changed.

Even back on my mac has not helped.

Any suggestions?  My numbers worksheet is 17.8 MB and I'm running a MBA 13 "mid-2013 with a processor 1.7GHZ Intel i7, 8 GB memory and 13 GB of free space on HDD.

    Hi tl,.

Numbers are not designed to handle large volumes of data or large tables. It is specified the maximum size is 255 columns by 65535 lines, but it will become unusable long before they reach the limit of the lines. Part of the problem is that the numbers automatically recalculates each change to a table, a feature that cannot be disabled.

I did a little test with one piece of sheet with four tables, each 9 5112 lines columns, as well as a single-column table 10 lines.

Large tables had the same formula in each cell: = RAND () * 100

Each cell also had four rules of conditional highlighting that filled a color that depends on the value in the cell in the cell.

The smallest table had formulas allowing to find the values of minimum, maximum and AVERAGE in four large tables, as well as the SUM of the values in a table and a count of the number of times the minimum value in one of the tables occurred in another tables.

Calculation was triggered by activating / deactivating a checkbox and took about 24 seconds to complete.

The size of this worksheet when recording as a file is 7.1 MB.

For large files, numbers are not the best tool. Try one of the office applications open source (LibreOffice, Apache, OpenOffice), or MS Excel.

    Kind regards

    Barry

  • Why the numbers app calculates a slightly different result than my calculator?

If I calculated on my ÷ 41 161 calculator I get 0.2546583851, but I get the numbers 0.2552795031. Why this discrepancy? It is throwing my spreadsheet unhinged as he rounds automatically when we reduce the decimals to 0. Please notify.

    Thank you.

I don't want to be too technical... but each calculator has a different precision. It depends on the hardware and software of your calculator.

    My advice: trust numbers app.

    Update:

Are you sure you are not cheated? I tried in numbers and the exact result is:
