Calculations of contour

Hi all

Can u see me where to read about or how to do

Hyperion planning 11.1.2.3

for example, I (a, b, c)

one

A1 (+)

A2 (+)

A3 (+)

I need to do this: a = a1 + a2 + a3

I create a form with crossing a and b and c fix, but when I entered in cell a1, one no aggregation = (...)

I have a period with and he aggregation...

You can not do the update form the value of 'a' without saving the changes.  This feature is only for the period dimension when this dimension is a dimension of column.  You will need to register and (have a dynamic calc or calc form on save or run a calc).

    The data should be loaded in the database 'source' in the score so that it appears in the target.

    I can't tell you what data file, you must load.  You ask someone familiar with your system.

  • Unexpected results after calculation

    Hello.

    I have 3 databases of production which have worked successfully until Thursday.

    FARM sales for the whole company per month.

    EB2. Sale of a specific division a week.

    EB3. Sale of a specific division and top ranges, per day.

    Thursday.

    The problem is that after calculation of EB3, the totals I see in the validation reports are incorrect when compared with the totals in the EB1.

    The whole story is the display of incorrect results, not only the data for the current month, which is that I charge per day.  I'm doing an incremental loading of the current and previous month only.

    I took a backup and loaded in the EB3 and performed the calculation... once again the totals were incorrect.

    Friday

    When I compare the validation reports, totals in EB3 were as expected when checking against the EB1.

    I did nothing for the outline, the backup is the same.

    EB1 and EB2 were ok.

    Saturday (today)

    When I see the validation report today I noticed that EB3 has the same behavior; incorrect results.

    And EB2 also contains unexpected values after calculation.

    Have you encountered this problem before?  Is there something specific I should review to determine and solve this problem?

    Log files reflect not any message "error" or "fail".

    Any comment is welcome.

    Kind regards

    JC

    Difficult to clarify the question without knowing what actually do the calculations. Just a suggesiton wild as you see error every day replacing when you see good results just make a backup of contour and then use the problematic day contour compare to compare 2 contours. May be there are some jobs that you are not aware of the evolution of the sketch, thus destabilizing the whole of the data!

  • How to check a default calculation in EA

    Is there a way to check what your calculation of the default value for a database of BSO? I connect to EAS as an administrator and I right click on a data base and 'Set' > "Calculation of the default" and select a calc script I wrote by default and then click on 'OK '. When I return to check the parameters for the calculation of the default again, unchecked the option box for "Use a calculation script" and I don't see any Visual evidence that the calculation of the default value is set to the calc script, that I chose. I know there is a script MaxL to define the calculation of the default I have used and the results say "Statement executed successfully", but yet when I go into the SD, I see no visual evidence that the calculation of the default is set to the desired calc script as the box "Use a calculation script" is always disabled after running the MaxL Script.

    Y at - it a Maxl Script I can use to check what is my default calculation? I couldn't find one.  I'm on Essbase 11.1.2.2

    Hope that was enough information.

    I think that your abuse of language, it is that it uses the calculation that you specified as the default Calc. What is the option Calc script use is to copy the calc script selected to be the default Calc. She copies the code in the default calc box. If changes are made to the soruce calc script, they do not updated in the Calc of default. It is a time to copy.  One thing to note when you use something else than a simple calc to be the default calc, it's that if you have a member name in the default calc that changes, you disable the default calc that can prevent the application to start. At startup, the default calc is validated. So if your calc reference abdelkrim member and that you remove the contour, the application does not start until you ix the Calc of default.

  • Essbase contour optimization

    Can you please help with the contour question below and correct me if my interpretation is correct.

    To arrange the dimensions in large hourglass for optimal performance model lines should I look 'Stored members' 'Dimensions' tab on the properties of database in environmental assessments or is there any other place to examine how the dimensions are organized?

    Thanks for all you help.

    I agree with GlennS_3 that the hourglass model is old.  It has been even longer than version 5.  It was recommended by Arbor before Hyperion enter the picture.

    The hourglass design was based on the use of the Calc cache hash table.  The last Sun called dim anchor.  If you can adapt all other than the low anchor rare dims, you can use it to identify the blocks that had to be recalculated.  It makes a huge difference in calc times if you could get a cache hash table several bits calc.  Therefore, making the largest size of the last dimension would decrease the size required for the hash table.

    However, the calc engine overhaul from version 4 to version 5, greatly reduces the need for it.  The addition of parallel threads in calc scripts led to a larger dimension order.

    Put the dimensions not last concentration.  The parallel threads will run against the last sparse dimension (or dimensions if you assign multiple), so if you have years or versions and scenarios that should not be added together, it's a good size for the calculation in parallel using nets.  Put first Dense, account, then time, then largest to smallest.  This is not critical, but it provides an advantage with the order of operations in two calculations of pass.  He ready also to sort of benefits during the optimization of data loading and playback of exports.  Finally, put the library size stored in order from the largest to the smallest.  This provides better performance the computation of sparse multidimensional because it reduces the total number of blocks of pavement.

    The number that you want to use is in the properties of database on the Dimensions tab.  Registered members!

  • Headers fail loading dimension with the contour fill utility.

    When I try to load a dimension with the contour fill utility I get the following error message in charge of contour newspaper.

    «Impossible to get analytical information and/or perform a data load: values of unrecognized column header, refer to previous posts.» (Note: column header values are case sensitive.) »

    Is there another newspaper, that I can go to in order to see what the value of the header is the cause of the problem?  The alternative is to remove a header at a time and try to make the charge, and since this dimension has more than one column, it would take a lot of time.  As a result a sample of my data file.

    Try to run with running sec/n to validate and/m to generate headers. While doing this, you can also add a log location execption using /X. This will tell you what a question header.

    Review the generated header and examine the wrong header in the exception log.

  • the difference between the form of Member or a calculation Script?

    Hello
    I am going through some assignments. Here I observerved in essbase we can do the calculation using the calculation Script or a member form.

    I know, Member we can write to any Member, it is only for that perticular in outline and stored in outline members. and calculation for any database stored Extornally script.

    A fully written BSO formula was 1242 lines and i.e.formula 75 493 bytes size less than 64 KB. It is the limitation of the formula of Member, is their any other difference apart from that, because of this we can use the calculation on the Member form script or if anything else, so, please let me know.

    So could you tell me:
    When use the formula of Member and what is the advantage of the Member, or when to use the calculation for calculation script?

    What is the best option that I'll go for formula script or calculation of Member?

    A few comments based on the response of SS1988.
    1 unary (contour) calculations are the fastest type of calculations.
    2 many if not most of the formulas of Member are performed on dense dimension as dynamic calculations (and sometimes sparse dimensions) these work really well especially for type ratio calculations where you would have to calculate at each level of the database. The best formulas will make only reference members in the same block because they are quicker to run. Complex formulas can be slow.
    3. calculation scripts you give the most flexibility you can do calculations procedures (followed by B Calc calc A do) and you can limit the scope of a calculation using the patch and if statements

  • Performance of calculation scripts that have no ends to 9.3

    Hi all

    I have a problem with a calculation script, this script is perfect in essbase 9.2 (this takes some seconds 700 for execution) but to 9.3 that is not end that I wait hours (16 hours and always on) Please, help to find there is something wrong with the version of essbase 9.3.1
    the script is:

    DIFFICULTY ("Julie", "NForecast",
    +@LEVMBRS ("sales", 0), @LEVMBRS("Key Account Type", 0), +.
    + @LEVMBRS("Entity",0), @LEVMBRS("Market",0), @RELATIVE("Product",0)) +.

    Thank you in advance.

    Thanks for sending on to script things... couple contour and calc:

    1. probably can't hurt to change your dense sparse settings as you block size is too small... only 4592 B, try to make your Scenario Dense dimension, it will increase the size of your block to a comfortable 64, 288 b

    2. part of your formula looks like this:

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    / * computation of ATP to the month level * /.
    DIFFICULTY ("V00",
    "ATP"
    @LEVMBRS ("sales", 0);
    @LEVMBRS ("key Account Type", 0);
    @LEVMBRS("Entity",0),

    'Quantity', 'Recipes', 'Other income', 'Journal')

    "FY05")
    IF ('Accepted forecasts'<>#missing)
    IF ('Forecasts accepted' - ' Due Date already shipped for sale "*->"V00"-*"sales Due date back to the ship"-> *"V00"* > 0" ")
    "Forecasts accepted' - ' Due Date already shipped for sale" *-> "V00" *-"Sales Due date back to the ship" *-> "V00" *; "."

    ENDIF
    ON THE OTHER
    #missing;
    ENDIF;
    )

    ENDFIX
    ENDFIX
    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Since you already fixed to V00, there is no need to add it as an operator of dimension crossed in your statement SO, try this:

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    / * computation of ATP to the month level * /.
    DIFFICULTY ("V00",
    "ATP"
    @LEVMBRS ("sales", 0);
    @LEVMBRS ("key Account Type", 0);
    @LEVMBRS("Entity",0),
    @LEVMBRS ('market', 0),
    @RELATIVE("ELECTRICITY",0),
    @RELATIVE("GAS",0),
    @RELATIVE ("LIQUID MEASUREMENT", 0 ").
    @RELATIVE("OTHERS",0),
    "Prod_Tech")

    DIFFICULTY ("jan09", "Feb09", "mar09", "Avr09", "May09", "jun09", "jul09", "Aou09", "sep09", "oct09", "nov09", "Déc09", "jan10",
    'Quantity', 'Recipes', 'Other income', 'Journal')

    "FY05")
    IF ('accepted forecasts' #missing)
    IF ('Forecasts accepted' - 'sale Due Date already shipped'-"Sales Due date back to the ship" > 0)
    "Accepted forecasts' - 'sale Due Date already shipped'-'sales Due date back to the ship";
    ON THE OTHER
    0;
    ENDIF
    ON THE OTHER
    #missing;
    ENDIF;

    Good luck.

  • base newspaper Scientific Calculator

    Hi guys,.

    I searched online for documentation on the basic button y log in scientific calculator iOS but I could not find.

    What is it?

    What is the inverse logarithmic function?

    If so what base? Base 10, 2 or e?

    Thanks for the help.

    This isn't an inverse logarithm, it is one logarithm using any other basis as the existing buttons for base 10 or base 2 logarithms.  The "y" is any basis you want to use for the logarithm.

    Suppose you want the logarithm of base 4 of the number 12 (i.e. log4 12).  The keystrokes you would use would be:

    • 12
    • Logie
    • 4
    • =

He has in the past, but since the upgrade to Mac os Sierra, calculator saves what I had (except on the Strip). Is there something I can do to recover this feature?

    I can check your results even if I do not remember if she previously recorded the last number. I don't know if it's a change of function or a bug etc, but I think it's something Apple should change. You could install PCalc for the App Store. It is not free, but it does a lot more.

    Can how I restore the calculator to drag it to the top of the screen to control center? It seems to have been removed from the bottom row? Thank you

    Are - what you got to remove the calculator of your applications on the phone? You can find the calculator on the phone itself? If you find it, then try a reset. Hold down the home and sleep/wake together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. There are no settings to change what appears on the display. See if the reset solves your problem.

    EDIT: what exactly you see in the Control Center? If you see only controls the music, then drag to the right to see the rest of the access to the control center.

    How to disable the sound of rattling when using the calculator application in iOS 10?  Keyboard clicks are already disabled in settings > sounds and is not the solution.

    The clicks seem to be controlled by ring settings. Using the Mute button will work, while reducing the amount could also reduce the ring volume.

    Maybe we should use the comments link to get the clicking sound of the calculator to silence again in a future update iOS:
