  Hi everyone, I really need the helpful comments here, I m going crazy!

  I bought this computer HP Pavilion 17 laptop-e019dx at best buy not long... already have a problem with a windows 8.1 update, but anyway...

  I did a system restore and it is up to windows 8, fine, then all of a sudden I turn the laptop on another day, and without warning it resets to factory settings ... no account picture, no wallpaper, dates back to Bing is the default, the screen has IE search engine, File Explorer, store and office on it and nothing else... all my settings and customization is gone... but more importantly ALL MY pictures, videos, music, and all files are GONE!  SO FRUSTRATING!

  After MANY hours (a few days), I was able to recover most of the pictures which is what I've really supported on most. Saved USB´s, disks and creates a new partition ¨ Local disk (D ¨ where I saved all my files.) When the system resets itself, it resets only Local disc c, so my files are in D:... I can go back to everything being the same accomplishment the thing to restore the whole system again... but 1 or 2 days later, it resets everything new and need to start as if I just opened it from its box... non-stop... very frustrating because it takes time to restore and do not know it s good to continue to do that on the computer...

  Sorry for the long story, any help would be greatly appreciated!

  You have a program installed before other troubleshooting, named 'Deep Freeze' procedures. It is a program which will reinstall the operating system, once the computer is turned on, sometimes. For more information on this program, please see this site: Deep Freeze (software)

  If this isn't the case, I would make a repair of the operating system. To do this, follow these steps:

  1 turn on the computer with the installation DVD or USB. Then, start Windows 8 with him.

  2. follow all the instructions until you see "Repair your computer" and select "troubleshooting."

  3. go to "Advanced Options", select "Automatic repair" and the operating system.

• Virtual memory warning reset itself - problem of paging file No.

  Since my upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. .everytime I restart my computer, maintains memory virtual reset itself. It keeps the switch back to "No paging file" and the "exécution Options" window keeps popping up when I restart my com.

  I tried value "Automatically manages the size of pagefile for all readers" and even "system managed size" and "custom size." When I try to reopen the window, it gives me this pop up:

  "Windows will create a temporary swap file on your computer because of a problem that occurred with your paging file configuration when you started your computer. File size of total paging for all disk drives may be a little larger than the size you specified.

  I tried to delete reg entry and see if it will fix itself... no agreement.   I have 3 GB of RAM...

  Help, please!

  Disabling AFS.sys (sc config start = disabled afs) has toured my situation when I had this problem (see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproperf/thread/c5cfe9d0-e3d8-4625-85b1-3efdf04cd1a0 for full details).

  Arrive at an elevated command prompt (Démarrer\Tous Programs\Accessories - right-click on command prompt and select "Run as Administrator") and type the command above (sc config start = disabled afs).  Press enter and you will get a confirmation message that the Setup is complete.  Reboot and you should be able to put your swap file.

  Don't know why this happens, but starting from the thread that above, it appears that AFS.sys really did a lot for you, and my Win7 upgrade system works well without any problem in this configuration.

• Illustrator 2014: Scratch disk Preference keeps resetting itself

  Hello the Illustrator community.

  I've noticed recently that in my CC 2014 Illustrator 18.0.0, the drive working preference setting still reset itself. I use a MacBook pro with an SSD only, but I have an SSD of Thunderbolt of Lacie external that I had to use as a disk scratch for Illustrator and Photoshop. The problem is that if I set the preference scratch to be used externally as the principal and my school start, all right and me let us know that the change will take effect once it is reopened. The reopening of Illustrator, I'll double check and it is saved, and everything works fine. But if I happen to open Illustrator without my external attached, when I check the preference of scratch, he will return to the use of the commissioning as the main place to scratch, I understand.  But the next time Illustrator opens with my connected externally, the setting still scrape by default using the startup disk. At this point, I would need to change the preference, Illustrator to close and then reopen to make sure that Illustrator uses externally as zero.

  If for some reason it isn't saving my preference for the drive to work, while all other preferences seem to be registered properly. Photoshop of CC, in 2014 I can set preferences for scratch, which works fine, close Photoshop and reopen without attached externally and then close and reopen with handed out in place, and he will remember my preference to have the primary external as the scratch.

  It's just the way that illustrator is supposed to work, or is it maybe a bug? Someone at - it experience with this?

  I used Illustrator CC 17.x.x before that but did not notice that if it work the same way, since that day there I didn't have a dedicated disk that you want to use.

  The last thing that Adobe HAVE done on a renunciation is to write the existing State of the preferences to disk file. If it uses the local HD than zero, it is what is saved in the preferences.

• HP graphic calculator first: first RPN - battery display of items not in compliance with the User Guide

  In the HP User Guide first, in the section on page 48 RPN, the image shows the battery watch algebraic views of right which was calculated on the left side of the line battery, with responses on the side of each line in the stack.  When I do the same calculations, I only get responses from the right side.

  Is there a parameter that represents the lines of battery as in the user's Guide?  I can't find it if it's there.

  The guide I think you are referring is the guide of July 2013.  These pictures no longer exist in new versions of the user guide.

  I haven't met a setting that causes the behavior used in these pictures.

  I have a HP eStation 510a and the detachable tablet will not stay long enough to do something with it. As soon as it turns on it immediately turns off and then turns back on. I followed the steps to do a factory reset on it and successfully completed, but it still does the same thing. The printer itself works fine, it's just the tablet which is defective.

  I would like to have my header set do not follow to "don't follow do not."   I am creating a vi that allows the user to adjust the values to create a ramp and display it on a graph.  Then when the user presses a button to start actual production is displayed on top of the calculated curve.

  Eventually the user will be able to choose between and a csv file with data entered by an operation of entry instead or use the rampgenerator.vi.

  I tried many variations over the past two days.  I don't know what is the right approach.  Just a couple of weeks, I finished LabVIEW Core 2 and the sensation, I more complicate things.

  David,

  The choice of the user you want to set up a business structure or even a simple state machine.  You can watch how the simple state machine works by opening a new model project.  There is an option of State machine as one of the models.

  What exactly you are having problems with currently?  There are a few different parts to it and it would be useful to know what you need advice on.

• The DPI resolution keeps reseting itself at the lowest dpi at startup

  When the pc starts, it looks like it is loading fine then shuts off again and opens upward with the CIO of new resolution reset to the lowest... We have been adjusting and hit apply whenever we want back on the pc...   This is the default settings of the Vegas lifestyle, if you selected this Option.

  Note: The game will be £-52 every time that you start a new game.

• Seems that the laptop has reset itself

  My Compaq Presario Notebook just crashed and when I restarted it said 'product information' and a list of all the information that was necessary-serial code etc. Its still usable but an hour or two later, he decided that my copy of Windows 7 is not valid. I don't know that it is as it was installed on the laptop.

  I am completely distraught about computers so any help would be appreciated. I got it for 11 months then have about a month left on warranty.

  Oh and when I go to the HP Support Assistant it says my product name is HP Pavilion and my serial number and product number is 1234567890. They are not...
