  El Capitan keeps resetting system date and time to 2013, at least 2 or 3 times a day. It was installed about 4 months ago and the problem has always been here, but only recently has it received so often, that I can't get a good use of my computer.

• Illustrator 2014: Scratch disk Preference keeps resetting itself

  Hello the Illustrator community.

  I've noticed recently that in my CC 2014 Illustrator 18.0.0, the drive working preference setting still reset itself. I use a MacBook pro with an SSD only, but I have an SSD of Thunderbolt of Lacie external that I had to use as a disk scratch for Illustrator and Photoshop. The problem is that if I set the preference scratch to be used externally as the principal and my school start, all right and me let us know that the change will take effect once it is reopened.   The last thing that Adobe HAVE done on a renunciation is to write the existing State of the preferences to disk file. If it uses the local HD than zero, it is what is saved in the preferences.

  by default, cc implemented to date not resetting your preferences.  I don't know what you do to avoid that.

  but you can use the sync settings to quickly restore your preferences when they are reset to zero.

• Why point central keep resetting?

  Just moved over Flash Pro. 10 minutes and an accident later, I have to scratch my head.

  Here's the deal: I create a semicircle shape, convert to symbol and move the transformation/center point at the center of what would be a full circle (I use this shape as a mask to reveal parts of a pie chart). Create a keyframe at frame 15, suddenly the central point in resets a half circle in the center of the symbol, the default position. Huh? Then I click on return to the first image, and that point central has thus reset. Uh, what?

  Flash would have given me the symbol in the same State it was in the first picture. I tried option drag/frame 1 to frame 15, with the same result. I need the transformation point to stay where I put it, otherwise it is useless to me.

  Does anyone know what gives?

  Looks like that there are more than a single Movieclicp on your frame. (- indicates the symbols of different types are selected). When you have several selected and then things change the transformation point, it corresponds to the selection of the points of transformation and is only temporary.

  Know if there is something else on the same chassis and do not select it. You can click on an empty area on stage (select none) and then click on the symbol to select this option instead of using the rect selection basis.

  Let me know if the problem persists.

  Hello Marlin29, this is currently an issue in firefox when you close all firefox windows open first and then close the application subsequently - the bug should be addressed in a more recent version of firefox.

  a workaround in the meantime, you could close firefox (via firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter: config in the firefox address bar (confirm the message information where it appears) & search preference named browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash. Double-click it and change its value to false.

  Disabling AFS.sys (sc config start = disabled afs) has toured my situation when I had this problem (see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproperf/thread/c5cfe9d0-e3d8-4625-85b1-3efdf04cd1a0 for full details).

  Arrive at an elevated command prompt (Démarrer\Tous Programs\Accessories - right-click on command prompt and select "Run as Administrator") and type the command above (sc config start = disabled afs).  Press enter and you will get a confirmation message that the Setup is complete.  Reboot and you should be able to put your swap file.

  Don't know why this happens, but starting from the thread that above, it appears that AFS.sys really did a lot for you, and my Win7 upgrade system works well without any problem in this configuration.

  Last week, I downloaded Mumble, a voice chat program. I played World of Warcraft at the time and needed to download Mumble on the fly, so I was not quite cautious and downloaded an extension, Websteroids, at the same time. Websteroids highlights words in text documents that, when scrolling on, lead to advertisements. The claim of the site Websteroids, is that it turns a Web page in a game of meteorites.

  I have repeatedly disabled and removed it from my extensions list, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, deleted files with the Websteroids name on it, uninstalled it and Mumble, and any other files/programs that I could find from that date.
  I've run my antivirus program (AVG), spybot s&d, and lavasoft ad aware and followed the advice from their scans. Nevertheless, Websteriods keeps reinstalling itself without warning.
  I have restarted Mozilla in safe mode and I've also deleted anything I could find from the publisher, Creative Island Media, LLC.
  The next step that I can think of is a system restore. Before I do that, is there any other less drastic step that might work?

  Hi kg - 227, unless Firefox is himself infected, uninstalling/reinstalling should not make a difference.

  There are cases in which the third party software is deposited in the Firefox program folder and don't get cleaned automatically. This is normal so you don't waste of plugins, but could be exploited. To remedy this situation, you can rename the Firefox folder, then reinstall.

  Download the installer for your default language on this page:

  https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all/

  After the release of Firefox, rename the program to something like OldFox folder.

  On 64-bit Windows, there are:

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  

  On 32-bit Windows, there are:

  C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
  

  Then, run the Setup program. It should find your personal data automatically.
