Calendar of Thunderbird disappeared

I had a Thunderbird calendar installed and used. I don't know what version. Two days ago, that he disappeared with all my info. All of this has completely disappeared. I tried to install Lightning and and adding as an add on, hoping to install it and get all of my info, but nothing works. The lightning will not install with Thunderbird 38.2. I don't know what version of calendar, I had because there is NOTHING there. Nothing. No debris at all.
I REALLY need to all my appointments and tasks back! Help!

I still wish I knew that what happened to avoid again and maybe help someone else in the future. I'm just glad everything is back.
I guess that if someone reads this in the future I would tell them to try everything I did and then wait a day or two...
Thank you very much for your help.

  • How to eliminate 1 2 icons taskbar of Thunderbird when you use a calendar in Thunderbird

I use TB worm. 38.1. from the beginning to use worm. 38, I've included a calendar in Thunderbird. First of all, this is the Mozilla Calendar, but then I changed it to my Google Calendar. No matter that I used, Thunderbird is now two icons to Thunderbird on my Windows task bar. Both do the same thing and I can't figure how to get rid of one of them. If I close one, two (and Thunderbird) close and I can't find anything in the Thunderbird Options to deal with this. And if I try to hide one of the icons, using the procedure of customization of Windows, the two icons taskbar is hidden. Any ideas how to get rid of the two identical icons, leaving it alone?

I found the solution. The problem isn't the calendar function, it's an add-on called "MinimizeToTray Plus." If anyone has this problem, please refer to http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39 & t = 1962329

  • BlackBerry Smartphones calendar icon has disappeared from the screen

    Torch 9800.

Calendar icon has disappeared from the menu display.  I have synced with desktop calendar so transfer the log events are going to the device and reminders for events are appearing.  without an icon I am unbale to make journal entries in my phone. How to restore the icon of the menu display calendar?  Thank you. Robyn

Thanks for sharing everything you already tried... any information help so avoid redundant orientation.

Please, dig deeply and carefully on all the home screen panels, subfolders, etc... It is easy to accidentally move an icon to a different location. Also, you dig, please make sure that "Show all" is active, just in case you've hidden inadvertently to the icon.

Good luck and let us know!

  • How can I archive and back up my calendars? data disappear after one year

  • Sync Google calendar in Thunderbird/Lightning problems

    Hey all,.

So I keep a Google calendar so I can access my journal of my phone (android) and my laptop (via lightning add-on from Thunderbird). After some difficulties with my android app (that I solved), it seems today I managed to banjax Lightning: I can view my calendars very well on my phone and in a browser on the site Google.com/Calendar, but the lightning on my Thunderbird tab remains empty (almost entirely).

I tried to remove and reinstall/reapply the individual calendars themselves (there are three, a staff, two wildcard 'holiday in [country]' and "Week numbers") of lightning, as well as the two add-on Lightning the himself (v. 2.6.6) and the other "provider for Google Calendar" (version 1.0.3) you will need to make lightning plays well with Google.

The calendars are displayed in the left of the lightning pane, if you can see * something *, but it does not display the individual events - the real calendar in the center of the screen remains stubbornly empty.

Creation of new events 'test' in my browser (or my phone) is not a problem, but they do not appear in lightning, nor my pre-existing events. * New * events created in lightning, however, will appear in my browser if I press the "sync" button in Thunderbird and can be successfully edited and removed from the browser.

I hope I'm missing something obvious...?

OK, got it solved... but I don't know why.

I tried updates (for Thunderbird, Lightning, the provider for Google Calendar, call you) yesterday when it first happened, but it seemed that everything was up to date. First thing this morning, an update for Thunderbird itself was available - installation (to 31.3.0) invite to an update of the lightning (at paragraph 3.3.1), although the provider of Google is always v. 1.0.3.

Once the updates have been made, I disabled the provider, subscribed to my calendars and resubscribed... and found my events. Everything works as it should now.

Hope this helps someone in the same situation, in that I was!

  • When adding new events to the calendar for Thunderbird lighting plugin, the application refreshes and removes recently added events.

I have three calendars ICS (network) in lightning. All have offline support checked in the settings.
Yesterday I opened TB and lightning to find all events that I had entered disappeared (there for a split second then it regenerated).

My Calendars online are in the electronics/Pim 'Horde' mail system provided by my Web host.

I tried several tests and disabled the Auto-Refresh feature (a solution proposed by another article), however the entries created in lightning disappear spontaneously. However, these events that I create in the online version of the calendar persist. So it would seem that they never actually get downloaded (synchronized) in the online master calendar.

I use ICS as the online master calendar access method.

Any help solving this would be appreciated, otherwise I'll have to remove the light and find a replacement.

    Concerning

    Adam

ICS is a file format and are not really suitable for a network schedule. Apple cannot do anything more than read only works on their Ical calendars and for reading writing recommend CalDav. Horde maybe has a similar problem.

Their web site, I noticed that they support CalDav. This is a calendar designed from scratch like this network protocol.

This seems to be instructions on how to locate the URL caldav in the Horde, but knowing nothing about the product I don't really know. http://wiki.Horde.org/CalDAV

My best guess is that you did make some kind of customization to your Thunderbird you mention in any way.

Troubleshooting information would help determine this, so it's up to you how you want to proceed.

  • In calendar, typed entries disappear

Often, I find that as soon as I entered an event, with date, place, time, choice of calendar and the alerts, the calendar on my Mac app, it disappears again at once and must be entered again.

I think that, although I can't be sure, that this has only started happening since I signed up for iCloud. This does not happen when I enter an event on my phone instead of on my Mac.

I would be very interested in any suggestions as to why this irritating behavior and to find out how to avoid what is happening.

Try to go into System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization of calendar. The problem is still happening?

    Maybe this will help.

  • Short cut Thunderbird disappeared after an update this morning after a windiw stated that this shortcut is not found. I can't find where is the executable file. It

This morning Thunderbird updated itself and a window pops up saying shortcut to thunderbird does not exist. After that I can't find where it is so that I can run.

Thank you very much. Yes, the problem was exactly the same. Thunderbird executable disappeared after an update. I reinstalled it simply by downloading the configuration file. All my configurations and emails and folders, etc were in place. A great feeling to not lose everything. Again, thank you for your kind reply.

  • Can create new calendar in Thunderbird

OK, saw a lot of articles on creating a new calendar in lighting. All say file-> new-> calendar. The file menu in the menu at the top left doesn't have a new option. It is not the task Mode and I have no idea of what it is (or goggle).

Images you have posted show you the AppMenu Open button list, but you will need to click on the Message of Mew to open this menu.

I know! New Message? This is ridiculous. You are right. Programmers completely messed up the menu improved, new and robust system. I recommend you do you a favor and turn the old menu bar and use a system of menu real.

Press the alt key to make the call of menu bar.
The Menu bar, select View-Toolbars, and click the Menu bar on.
Now the calendar is where is belongs and where all the documentation says it is.
    File-new-calendar

Maybe I should ask another fundamental question.
Do you have the Schedule tab open showing the default calendar?
If this isn't the case, in the menu bar, select events and tasks-calendar to open the Calendar tab.
The shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + c
