CalendarEvent and zones

I have a problem to find the right way to create a CalendarEvent in another time zone

on my Z10 my timezone is: Amsterdam, Berlin + 1 (THIS/MEZ == UTC + 1)

seems that Z10 uses only the standard time here and not the time of daylight, but the clock is correct on daylight saving time

also all the timezone - calendar selections are in standard hours - no daylight, leaves so use standard time

Event-zone: EDT GMT - 05:00

If I manually enter the event:

starts: 09:30

end: 10:00

Time of the is - 5

then I get: 15:30-16:00, which is correct to 6 hrs difference

now, I want to create the CalendarEvent in C++:

date usinga string as

T-2013-04 - 03 09:30:00

also tried: 2013-04 - 03T 09:30:00 - 05:00

sessionEvent.setStartTime(QDateTime::fromString(dt,Qt::ISODate));)

and set the time zone:

sessionEvent.setTimezone ("EAST");

but the calendar tells me now the event is

09:30-10:00 my local time

which is 03:30 - 04:00 IS

I'm doing something wrong?

or does mean that I have to add the time zone difference at the date of the event and setStartTime / EndTime at 15:30 - 16:00?

so for now, it works, but I really need a list of time zone identifiers of Cascades

and an easier way to get the diff between 2 zones or available inside the Cascades QTimeZone class

Windows 7 compatibility issues and Zone Alarm.

I installed WINDOWS 7 RC and up here a lot of work but the only problem it is or what I found, it is ZONE ALARM would not give a number of SP1, although I searched a lot of WINDOWS 7 SP1, which I assume is still not available, I tried to install VISTA SP1 but my bad because they are not compatible and will not be installed.

Help for this problem would be appreciated, thanks.

SP means 'service pack'... a service pack is not available for Windows 7 for a while to come... Try to install in compatibility mode Vista SP1.

Vista home premium and Zone alarm software

Just changed computer for Acer7730ZG with vista home premium. When I try and install the security software of Zone Alarm at the end of the installation, a message appears saying the data execution Protection has stopped the program. Have tried to turn it off, but it is said, he has to be on for this software. Ask the zone alarm, but not joy. They told to download a patch, but the patch wasn't for my version of Vista. If you're running SP1, then you NEED to update your system to SP2! There's a reason why you haven't, yet?

Zone Alarm has had its problems over the years in all versions of Windows, I've never used a Win98 upward. I really think you would be better off without her, but it's your decision to make.

DEP is here to protect your computer, and does so at a level well below ZoneAlarm can.

I just realized that I don't know firewall - you can talk about security suite? Which version you want to install? and what patch?

It looks like 'Acer eDataSecurity' may be the fly in the soup here - you should probably uninstall it in any case as it appears is not updated significantly, so is probably also holed in Switzerland cheese :)

(FWIW, I uninstalled here since so after purchase with no ill effects)

The reason why, I feel is ZA and Acer stuff are fighting for control of emails, etc., and because Acer was there, first of all, it is winning :) - same effect as having two AV of the present.

All areas not added to all areas are actually not used, depending on whether the areas that aren't yet in all of areas are required, yes you will have to add them in.

However, the WWPN you have listed do not seem to use the Cisco format recommended for pools WWPN (20:00:00:25:B5:xx:yy:zz) and maybe you are not pools or areas are not associated with UCS? If they are indeed UCS related areas then yes add to all areas, but plan instead to use the pools if this is the case.

My suggestion would be to use all fields WWPN and not mix with the interface areas.

On each MDS switch, create a zone that contains only the two WWPN in the storage controllers, ideally using an easy to identify the alias. This ensures that the ports of SAN can still see each other. Then, create an additional area for each UCS blade that contains the WWPN of the Pool WWPN blade, as well as the above mentioned storage area. This allows the vHBA to see the ports of SAN.

MS updatees KB951748 and Zone Alarm

If you use any flavor of ZoneAlarm and XP, do not install MS update KB951748. If you have already installed and lost connectivity, uninstall it using the Add/Remove applet in Control Panel. ZA and MS are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

ZoneAlarm has released a fix. Update your ZoneAlarm product, you will be pushed a new version of any product ZoneAlarm, you have installed. The new product is safe for the update KB951748.

How to solve click and zones of their advice...?

Then you want the user click at a particular location, right? Surely, you realize that if you size a click box to be the whole movie, the user will be able to click anywhere they like to operate the click box. I think that's probably not the behavior you're looking for.

You really did not help much because you did not really say what behavior you want. I don't know if you be intentionally evasive, due to problems of 'sensitive data' or maybe you're not sure just the desired behavior, and this is one of these "I'll know that when I see" stuff.

From what you wrote it seems to want a "Hint" is visible at the entrance to the screen? Assuming that I'm not wrong, why not organize a text caption to simply present when the user enters the screen. You can read what you want. You can also hang with a click box or button to give time to the user to read and understand what the screen is about. They would then click to continue.

I thought I'd share a recent experience with you all:

I was shopping a new anti-virus program and thought I'd try a few versions to test first to see that it fits my needs better before parting with my money. Taking care to try only one program at a time, I loaded a trial of F-Secure Anti-virus (download from their own website). When I tried to install it, he insisted that I uninstalled a few other programs first including Ad-aware SE, I did to avoid conflict.

At the end of installation, I restarted Windows XP Pro as instructed, to see that after login Windows, little or no progress was made to load every startup programs usual.

I systematically enabled and disabled in each program to see where the start was not and found very quickly that whatever this is vaguely related to security caused a software conflict of one kind or another, including anti-spyware WinCleaner and Zone Alarm Pro. It seemed a bit strange to me that I need to disable the firewall, so I uninstalled F-Secure Anti-virus and another program installed antivirus instead.

I am now using Kaspersky Anti-virus instead, with all my other programs security running with no problems.

It may have simply been an isolated case where I just had an unlucky combination of the hardware and software, or maybe the version of F-Secure, I had was not install properly, that it in either it didn't work so I thought I would let you all know and hopefully save someone else the frustration and inconvenience...

Thanks for posting about your experience. To protect my house specifications, I use Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition and ZoneAlarm. I use both of them for about two years and so far I didn't have problems with the virus. From time to time also use Ad-aware SE.

I noticed that many applications need a lot of CPU activity antivir while running in the background.

Zone after PeopleSoft installation default
After the default Installation I see the time zone is set by default to PDT. I made the change of Base CST time zone to PeopleTools-> utilities-> Administration-> Options PeopleTools, but the process still shows as PDT?

Is there something that needs to be done in PeopleTools-> utilities-> International > zones for CDT appear?
I don't know if I understand your question - what process always shows up also TDP?

If you haven't done so already, you should check the 'Adjustment and maintenance of zones' section in the PeopleTools 8.51 Global Technology PeopleBook.

You might want to watch PeopleTools > customizations > Customization Options, select the PeopleTools category and check the LTZONE and TZONE. LTZONE sets the local time zone and ZONE sets whether or not the local time zone is used by default.

Otherwise CDT should be defined as the 'ID for DST' associated with the zone of CSE, and you must watch the Daylight Savings tab data to see if/when daylight savings time is in effect for this time zone. Switch to DST IDs page to see what represents each ID start/end of DST.

Depending on your version of PeopleTools, you may need to apply a DST update to get the latest DST rules.

not strong enough after updating iTunes

After updating iTunes yesterday, itunes is not as strong as before; of course, I changed volume in the menu bar as well as in volume ('her') maximum system configuration. If I use VLC, the volume is OK; Therefore, I don't think it's a problem of speakers of the Mac and iTunes.

Hello Haperic!

From what you have posted, the sound after update of Mac is not as strong through iTunes but is fine using VLC or other applications. We certainly have to check a few things with the volume.

If you haven't done so already, we'll leave iTunes in the menu next to the  iTunes when iTunes is active. Then quit iTunes. Or command + Q on the keyboard. Open later and try to play a few things after.

No change after that, then go ahead and restart the Mac and try again, please.

If it's still the same after the restart, then we'll reset the NVRAM/PRAM memory.

Reset the NVRAM
1. Stop your Mac.
2. Look for the following keys on the keyboard: command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
3. Turn on your Mac.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys, immediately after hearing the startup sound.
5. Hold down these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the tone of starting for a second time.
6. Release the keys.
After resetting the NVRAM, you may need to reconfigure the parameters of the speaker volume, screen resolution, selection of boot disk and zone information.

Cannot find or set up a web site

I use Firefox V 8.0. I can't do a search. When I type in a word or phrase and press search (or enter), nothing happens. No activity whatsoever. When I click on the home page, nothing happens. If a tab already has a site on it, then this site will go up, but nothing new can be put in place. Even by typing the exact name of the site, nothing happens. I use Explorer to send you this.
Note: I install AVG V 2012.0.1873 and Zone Alarm V 10.1.065.000 yesterday. Since I restarted, after installation of these problems, Firefox has not worked properly.
I'd appreciate any help. I don't really want to uninstall AVG or Zone Alarm because of the protection they offer. I used Norton, but my subscription has expired.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
