  I accidentally hid my call log and when I finally had returned it (and don't ask me how) I shows that the calls that I make no calls or missed calls, they appear in my e-mail address... I tried everything I found in the book to do and nothing has fixed this.  I never know if I missed a call, unless I check my e-mail.

  Press the green phone dialing to enter in your call log > Menu key > Options > Call Logging and set your option here that you want to see in your message list.

  If you don't want calls in your Messages folder, disable "Missed calls"

  When making calls from my Curve 8900 I noticed a box containing a small cross in the right corner of the screen.

  This seemed to appear when I made a call through a link on a Web page while I was using the internet.

  Can someone shed light on this please.

  

  The feature has been there for a while... This is the Boost improved Audio or Audio device.

  Press your green dial key > Menu > Options > Enhanced Audio (or sometimes in the Options > menu General Options).

  You can disable it if you wish.

  I get the black box with timer ranging tour continues to appear! I know how to use the clear application memory integrated into my BB, I also remember Boost, I know how to click the browser, and then click options tik down 2 boxes and everything else, I pulled the battery, I also Bejoose. It just started the last few days. Its really frustrating trying to type something in an email or FB and freeze for a minute or two. I don't know what I can do.

  Goto options

  Press the button to get the menu and activate keyboard BB

  Press on and hold & % 123 key for 3 sec

  type -. 5 * and Analyzer device is activated

  If you make it at all, press ESC to home screen and try again.

  I have a BB 8520 curve and whenever someone rings me it just displays their number and not their name so I never know who's calling. How to solve this problem?

  It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
  Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  and I seem to have a unique problem.

  I'm on giffgaff (who has the phone accepts very well), but...

  1. I can only call a few people in my contact list. (at every time without problem) where others it disconnects right away when I try to call.

  2. I cannot sms only to individuals who have already sent me an sms, I can carry on a conversation but does not start with someone.

  3. some people I can txt I can't call and visa versa.

  I tried to make calls and txts in different places and times with the full signal strength. As I tried all the proposed problem fixed here. Yet, I still have the problem. I don't know if people have hurt to put a hand on me.

  any help with this would be much appreciated.

  Thanks for your detailed description, which helps us a lot. I recommend that you download blackberry protect and do a full backup. After the backup, please try reloading your software through blackberry desktop software or wipe a complete security. NOTE: all data will be lost during a wipe.

  I have a Bold 9900 and had wifi calls (voice of BBM) installed and working for months. Recently, my voice BBM icon has disappeared. How can I reinstall? I have to delete BBM and install again?

  Under Options > device > application management, which is the Version listed BBM?

  When you go to www.blackberry.com/bbm on your device browser and go into install BBM, do you have a prompt to replace the same version or install a new one?

• BlackBerry Smartphones Appworld not appearing on the home screen

  I am currently using a Blackberry Curve 9300 3 running on os 6 (6.0.0.448) and every time I have download Appworld, it does not appear on my home screen. It started when I upgraded BB Appworld

  1.I have clicked on the button "Show all" and it does not appear

  2. I checked in all folders.

  3. several reinstalations, but no positive results

  4. several device restarts / battery/tire factory restarts have been tempted, but no positive results

  5. when I look under application management, Blackberry Appworld (3.1.4.25) IS installed

  It seems that others have this problem as well, but someone knows how to solve this problem! (It also seems that RIM has no suggestion on its help desk page)

  Yes, I have.
  But it seems that the I found the way to solve this problem by myself. And I hope this will help others.
  1. downgrade your device
  2. download Blackberry Appworld
  3. (updated all the apps that have had the same problem)
  4. update your device
  5. your device will now Appworld and all the other apps that had conflicting problems.

  It turns out that downgrade your device would force allows you to install an older version of App World (which will work). After the upgrade of your device (which will install a new fresh OS) App World will be updated as well in a State where she works on the device without any problems. You can now use App World to download all the other apps that had the same problems.
  Please keep in mind, I used DM to downgrade and improve

  It turns out that I am the first to solve this problem, same RIM had no idea (on their BB help section)

  Hi, I have a blackberry storm which is unlocked to all networks which shouldn't really make a difference, but I can't get the blackberry maps application installed.

  I've sorted it now, my blackberry rate took a while to activate, all service books came through for O2! But strangely, all the service books appeared for Vodafone?

  Recently recived a Blackberry Torch 9810. It was working fine, but yesterday I bought a new 4g SIM and a 4gig memory card and now media I download files will not be displayed once wherever I can see them is when it is pluged into the computer. A way to solve this problem?

  Sometimes... some media files immediately will not appear in the list Preview until the cache of the device has been reset (which will happen with a reboot of the BlackBerry device).

  So for now, open your icon media > press the Menu key > Explorer and navigate to the folder in which you KNOW you saved the file.

• BlackBerry® Smartphones E-mail appearing in several places

  Recently, I wiped my Blackberry to set up a new Blackberry Enterprise email.  I've implemented successfully as well as my gmail email account.  The e-mail of the company are perfectly appears under the "Messages" icon, but gmail emails appear 2 x in the "Messages" icon and once in the internet e-mail icon (the one with the globe in front of the envelope.  If I could eliminate emails gmail to appear at all under the "messages" icon that would be perfect.  If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

  When you say twice - hear - you duplicates of each message in gmail that you receive? Or, you receive a copy of the messages you send to others (... known issue but there is a problem)?

  BTW - the latest version of BIS will now interact with gmail via IMAP, which removes the need for the rule of sent items to place. To use it, delete your BIS email leads. Sign in to Gmail and delete POP. then add IMAP. Then re-create the BIS conduit.

  I have a small Smiley Face icon on the desktop that appeared with small red asterisk as if it were new.  The same kind of thing when I receive a new email.  Don't know why it appeared or how access or remove.
