Camera Codec Pack works only on Windows 8.

My PC 64 bit of Windows 8 has the new Microsoft Camera Codec Pack update, but it doesn't seem to work.  I don't see a thumbnails of RAW image files and open the viewer with a white screen and the name of the file.

My system is a Windows 7 upgrade.
I tried to install the Pack again, but the installer says it's already here.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Thanks for the reply.  It looks like a false alarm.  I was watching an image file that wasn't in the camera Pack directory.  When I downloaded a file from a Nikon D40 (.nef), he made properly - both thumbnail and image viewer.

So all is good.

  • Reinstall Microsoft Camera Codec Pack has stopped working in Windows 7 Home Premium, does not solve the problem.

    Hello.

I've been an avid user of Microsoft Camera Codec Pack, and he worked a lot since I installed it-up to this point.
A few days ago I noticed that my RAW / CR2 files are not displayed in the windows photo viewer (nor were the thumbnails).

I tired to reinstall the codec without success pack; the installation process works fine, but after restarting the same problem persists (this also applies when I 'fix' Camera Codec Pack). I tired both the x 86 version and 64bits without result.

I'm at the end of my mind, and I would be very happy to help :)

    Hello!

I can't get my hands on the Windows 7 Camera Codec Pack. All of the links no longer work, and all I can find is the versions of Windows 8, which will not be installed. It is absolutely vital for the workflow of my company, and I managed to install from this article http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/how-do-i-view-raw-pictures only a couple of months.

I tried to find mirrors or links to work and can't. Any help is very grateful.

  • Cannot open RAW photos using Microsoft Camera Codec Pack on Windows 8.

Original title: Remove the codec of the victory camera 8

Downloaded codec does not allow me to open raw photos in windows Explorer, and now I can't open them in Photo Paint.

    Hi Chris,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and we are happy to help you on this question.

Depending on the issue, you downloaded a Microsoft Camera Codec Pack for Windows 8 on the computer which creates problems to open raw photos in Windows Explorer and in Windows Paint.

I wish to gather information to solve this problem in a better way:

    (1) do get you any error message when you try to open the photos using Microsoft Camera Codec pack in Windows Explorer as well as in Paint of Windows on the computer?
    (2) what size device that you use to display pictures using the Camera Codec Pack?
    (3) the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack does support the format of the device that you use to view RAW photos?

I suggest you to check if the format of the device you are using is supported by Microsoft Camera Codec Pack.

    You can check the link:

If the format of the device you are using is supported by Microsoft Camera Codec Pack, you can check the manufacturer's Web site and download the latest version of the software for this particular device. That might solve the problem.

Please answer us with the necessary information if the problem persists.
  • Microsoft camera codec pack does not

Built a new computer and I use sp 1 Swedish version 64-bit W7 on it. But the camera codec pack does not work. It worked fine on my old computer. First of all, I have installed the Sony raw pack but it din't work and after that I installed the 64 bit version of the Microsoft package but that didn't work either. Don't know what to do.

Well I installed it again and this time it worked. Strange but I'm happy

  • Skype works only on Windows 10

I upgraded my laptop ASUS (portable UX32A) from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Now, Skype for desktop PC does not load. It is located at automatically sign-in during windows startup. It starts to load upwards and then stops working until it has fully loaded. There is a message saying that Skype has stopped working and that the details have been sent to MS and then it stop Skype.

So far, I tried all of the following characteristics: -.

    (1) downloaded and installed the latest version of Skype (7.18) for desktop - 8 times. No change

    (2) tried to "deep" uninstall Skype from my laptop and then install an earlier version of Skype. No change

    (3) renamed my file "appdata" old Skype Skype. No change

    (4) says Windows to search for the latest drivers. No driver has changed

    (5) the Windows 10 troubleshooting program are used to try to load-up Skype in an earlier version of windows. I tried all, but he does not always load

I can get the video version of Skype at work which is part of the window system 10. This shows my camera and his work as everything. But it of a bad version of Skype with few features and also locks Skype to one user on this computer. I can't find a way for other users to use this version of Skype. So I am keen to get Skype for office working on this laptop.

I think that MS has launched a version of Skype that is not compatible with my laptop with Windows 10 and that the only solutions are to return to Windows 7 or to stop using the Skype program.

Someone at - it other ideas how I might be able to fix it?

I gave up trying to make Skype work on this laptop with Windows 10.

The laptop was working fine with all my programs (including Skype) with Windows 7 - provided operating system with the laptop. Then, you receive a message from Windows saying that you can switch to Windows 10 for free and that your computer is compatible. Once you do this, all the trouble begins. In this case, Skype doesn't work with my other programs and you spend you life is talking with people from Skype (no help at all) or in the lounges of cat like that.

The answer, in my mind, is to use an operating system that runs on your computer and not upgrade to Windows 10, because it's probably not compatible with applications or hardware on your / my PC.

Now, I returned to Windows 7, all is well again. And I'll keep my PC this path and isolate the reminder throbbing on the PC icon that tells me to upgraded to Windows 10.

  • HP DV6768se Mini Remote works only on Windows 7!

Just like the title says, my mini remote control won't work for nothing, I have windows 7 ultimate. I have the ENE CIR Receiver driver installed (41645) and with this driver, the only thing that works is the button to switch to the external display. I tried to change the battery twice (was a 2 Pack of brand new) still nothing. I even tried to change a new driver ENE CIR driver (44983) which is supposed to be for windows 7.but with this driver even not that external display button will work. This remote was working find on windows vista (but everything still sucked him )

For your model, all you need to do is to install Quick Launch Button software, CIR driver comes into it.

Uninstall the current ENE CIR driver, and install software QLB, Win7 Upgrade guide, here, your laptop is in level 2.

  • Simple pass works only on Windows 7 pro standard user

I looked through countless questions simple pass and found no clue.

I'm used to simple passage, recognizing the need for a u/p that it registers the new website or offers for me to slide my finger for an existing installation.  This is nothing.  It is runing as I see in taskman.

Recently, I've reconfigured my logon as a standard user.  I can't see exactly that as a starting point, but that is the only change that I can remember.

    Jess,

I might suggest that the account on the other is the fix.  The idea of alternative / new account was first suggested 06/11/2013 and now once again in Lil_Lisa27 (thank you, Lisa!).  Everything you've tried, it's the only solution that has accomplished the goal: get SimplePass working on your Windows 7 operating system.

You can use the transfer tool to move account data or you can simply move to the new account, and then set the ownership and permissions.

You can also continue to seek a solution based on the knowledge that it was discovered the underlying problem to the environment into account in this particular account.  Once you have your new account to work the way you want, you can certainly leave the account 'broken' in the system and continue to push what you think of new things to try to fix the SimplePass database.

Be sure to create a Restore Point before you make changes to the program or anything outside your account.

    Good luck!

  • Touchscreen driver works only under Windows 8

Install Windows 8 on HP Touchsmart 520 is really a nightmare. Usually, the display driver installation procedure and Voltron Touchscreen product error 9998 drivers. Oddly, I managed to somehow work around this by using a different display driver (some beta-version of Intel), but it was buggy. Since the reinstallation of Win 8 I can't to install more touch screen driver. Given that the Touchsmart series sells on its touchscreen capabilities and given the fact that HP relies on the Microsoft OS is not only slightly irritating that HP has so far not been able to provide drivers of devices that work well with Win 8 Release Preview. What solution do you offer me? Wait? Back to Win 7?

The pilot (Nextwindow Voltron Touchscreen) updates automatically after the installation of Win 8 RTM when you only run Windows Update routine. At least in my case it did, and it works fine.

  • Intel Wimax 5350 works only with windows 7/t400

As someone who uses the Server 2008 on my desktop, when I received my t400 a few days ago I hesitated at the idea of using vista.  so I decided to download and install windows 7 64-bit (Vista 32 bit... I did an install own good... I think).  I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the drivers wireless in windows 7 and, indeed, intel States on their site that windows 7 will automatically install the drivers for the card 5350 wireless.

Unfortunately, during the installation of windows 7 was complete the drivers were not installed and I don't have access to the internet.  I therefore had to take my Office Wireless usb adapter, then plug it to access the internet.  Windows Update has not fixed the problem.  so I installed the visa of intel 64-bit drivers and windows told me that my wimax device has been recognized, the drivers have been installed, etc.

except the wireless card still does not work!  He is currently under listening network cards as area network/2 connection cable unplugged/intel wimax link 5350.  I do not understand... should not it listed as being a wireless network connect as is my usb adapter?

I think that the problem might be that in Device Manager, I don't have a driver for the controller network, serial port pci or pci simple communications controller.

It is quite frustrating and I really regret not putting more thought in this installation of windows 7.

    Thanks for the help

    I have a T400 with 5350 Intel and Windows 7 x 64, I downloaded and installed the

Intel PRO / Wireless and WiFi Link drivers only for Windows Vista * (3298 KB) and the

Intel® utility connection WiMAX PROSet/Wireless for Windows Vista * 64-bit (9206KB) from the Web site below.

Furthermore, my "Intel(r) WiFi Link 5350' and ' Intel WiMAX Link 5350" listed in the "Network adapters" category, I have not any category 'Wireless Network Connect' at all. "

    I hope this helps!

  • SENTINEL HASP KEYS 3.25 WORKS ONLY WITH WINDOWS 7

I lived several of these posts here about the hasp and windows keys 7 and I tried many suggested fixes, but nothing works. I installed the software using Windows XP Mode in Virtual PC, I've updated, uninstalled drivers, reinstalled with and without the hasp key inserted. I use the Sigmanest V4, Mastercam9, and Mastercam10 software. All three of these programs worked fine with Windows XP service Pack 3. I did everything that I mentioned above and some of which you try to run the software in compatibility mode. Nothing I try works, Sigmanest software seems like it is recognizing the hasp key because it will be open, but it will not open in demo mode. The two programs Mastercam do not even recognize the hasp key. They open up and say that there is no present hasp key, then close. After years that Windows 7 has been out someone got a solution for this. Maybe they have, but I can't?

    Hello Chad,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

According to the description of your problem, it seems that you are trying to install the drivers for the Sentinel 3.25 HASP key. I checked the official site, it shows drivers for Windows, but did not mention the version of Windows.

    Here is the link: http://sentinelcustomer.safenet-inc.com/sentineldownloads/?s=&c=End+User&p=HASP+HL&o=Windows&t=Runtime+%26+Device+Driver&l=all#.

I also checked this device and software Center of Microsoft Compatibility, and I couldn't find any information out there in that regard. So I suggest you to contact technical support SENITEL for troubleshooting further because they are the best people who can say that this device is compatible with Windows 7 or not.

Hope this information is useful. Do get back to us after contacting them and please update your question on the forum.
