Camera Raw Converter shows something other than Photoshop

When I adjusted a NAVE in my Photoshop (cc 2014) file - raw (8.7.1) converter and I open the file in Photoshop, the colors and the light appear to be different, not the same as what I saw in the raw converter. This way I can never adjust a file the way I want to because I don't know how it will look like in Photoshop. Does anyone else have problems with this? What can I do about it?

I'm fairly certain it's the monitor profile. Oh yes, Trevor, it's quite relevant seen in two different applications...

"The thing of x-rite", as you call it, Nancy - are you using delivered Eizos software ColorNavigator with (this is what you should), or x-rite i1Profiler? If the former, trying to define the strategy of ColorNavigator profile to the profile of Gamma, not one LUT. When you set up your target, it's under "customize profile". LUT profiles are supposedly more accurate, but also heavier and more complex. Some applications to choke on them.

Don't you remember what options are available in i1Profiler, but the same principle applies.

Bottom line: If Photoshop and ACR appears differently, it is almost always the monitor profile. They must be the same, regardless of what your other color settings. But the thing is - even if it's will all the same source profiles monitor profile are different and so the conversion itself is different.
