THANKS JIM: I have the correct update of your previous link BRIDGE... not sure just what RAW to clear?  Have a copy in ADOBE/PROG and PROG/COMMON FILES

Here are the instructions.  They were copied directly from the instructions available on the Adobe for ACR 4.6 download page.

Windows®:
1. exit Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge.
2. open my computer.
3. double-click on disk Local (c).
4. go to the program files Adobe Plug - Ins\CS3\File Formats.
5 move the plug-in Camera Raw.8bi existing to another location (for example, a new folder on your)
desktop computer). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to go back.
6. copy the Camera Raw-plug-in, Camera Raw.8bi, from the download into the same folder as step 4.
7. launch Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Bridge.

Don't worry, #5.  There is no earlier version of ACR you'll ever need.  Just KEEP the version that is located in the folder specified in step #4 and get rid of the other.

P.S. I just read your last message again.  If this is the full path where you ACR, it is always in the right folder.  Note specifically the #4 step.  ACR MUST be in this folder.

  • Help! Problem with Camera Raw image settings

    Hi all

I've recently upgraded to El Capitan in Snow Leopard. I use Photoshop CS5.1 and 6.3 of ACR. I work with my Canon T5i DNG files. (conversion from the CR2 files with the DNG Converter).

OK, so this is the problem: before upgrading the operating system, everything was fine. Now, I noticed that all the files that I have previously set in ACR, are always "adjusted" visually, but all the sliders have been reset to default and some are grayed out.

For example, let's say I have an image that I've desaturated in the past. Now, if I open it in ACR, the image is still gray, but all cursors are reset to zero, and the saturation slider is sometimes gray. Nevertheless, the color information is gone, so I can't go back to the original version of the color.

Again, what are the DNG files, so no XMP file don't like using CR2 files...

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Marc

I saw your picture on my computer Windows 10 using Camera Raw 9.3.1. On my computer, loaded with the basic settings the image that looks like this:

And on the Panel of Hue/Saturation/Lightness "Convert to grayscale" was checked. But the image was posted in the 2010 process version. As soon as I changed the version of process for 2012, all cursors Basic returns on their positions by default. I don't know if that answers your question. But it is the behaviour that I have seen.

  • Apparent Double Up: Digital camera RAW update 6.20

    Hi all

Mac: end of 2008 13 inch MacBook, 8 GB of RAM, Samsung 120 GB SSD, El Capitan OS X.

    I noticed the following-

July 13 installed Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.20

19 July, installed as part of the iTunes store update 12.4.2.

    What gives?

    TKS

Hmm, I've recently started using combo updates, update several MacBooks, copy of the update to a USB key.

In the section "Installed updates in the last" 30 days, there were two entries as noted above. Report of the system, the facilities, it is also updated two 6.20 lists.

Updates duplicate matter? The last replaces just previous?

  • . CRW files not supported by Digital Camera RAW 6

I've noticed recently that Aperture (3.6) will not open my. CRW files. I suspect that something has changed in the last Digital Camera RAW update (6.20) I have a few weeks back. Does anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried to reinstall the RAW Support?  Sometimes the download from the App Store does not correctly install, then it helps to reinstall it from the downloads page. Has anyone else received DAILY (20 +) identical updates Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.20?

This can occur, run a maintenance program that erases your system cache and things should be fine.

Also, check and make sure that it actually settle.

Check the console to confirm that things work well.

  • When I'm able to get the camera raw for DMC-ZS70?

My new camera is the Panasonic DMC ZS70 and I use the latest version of Yosemite on my iMac.
I can't open the RAW files from this camera using Photoshop 6.  When I search for the update to Camera RAW

It is not updated for this model unit. How long will I be able to get this to Yosemite. Or is there another solution?
I know that I could avoid this problem, if I've updated to El Capitan, but I found it incompatible with CS6.

For an El Capitan is not incompatible with the CS6 - at least not on my MPB. And secondly, Adobe has its own RAW extensions: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html#Pan asonic

  • Unable to update Apple software such as iTunes, Safari, camera RAW via AppStore mac

I could not update Apple software such as itunes, safari, camera RAW... etc via the mac app store.  Whenever I click on update, it will show 'installed' within seconds without actually updating the software and the same installation notification will appear again in the app store.

I can update some of the apps manually through the apple website and download the update file. However, I wonder if there is a remedy to this problem without having to manually update each time.

This problem is only limited to the Apple software, 3rd party applications I've downloaded from the app store can be updated without problems.

This problem started when I Yosemite, and I've since updated to El Capitan (without a clean install) and the problem persists...

I'd appreciate any help to solve this problem. Thanks in advance!

  • Support for the new Sony camera RAW files

I have a new DSLR Sony ILÇE - 6300 Raw image in iPhoto editing is not supported, as the application overview will not load the Raw files.

Adobe has just updated aps of new cameras, Apple needs to update the app as well?

The list of supported devices is currently here: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

If your device isn't on the list, you will need to wait for an update.

You can try the free Adobe DNG converter (Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh). If convet you format the photos to DNG, they will always be the FIRST.  Apple photo applications can usually treat the DNG files, if they are not in a compressed format.

  • Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update Canon EOS 80 d

    Hello

I am trying to import RAW + JPEG images of my new Canon EOS 80 d in Photos. When I try to choose images-> use BRUTE as the original , I get the following error message:

    Cannot switch Original.

Pictures cannot move to the original because the RAW is not supported.

I wonder now if the current version of Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update includes the 80 d EOS, and if not, when it will be updated.

    My version of Photos is:

    Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Digital camera RAW 6.18.1 (831)

Digital Camera Support RAW 6181 (207)

    Best,

    Chris

I have not seen the 80 EOS D on the RAW supports list - Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Support of Canon is generally fast so I hope that with the next RAW update

  • Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.18

Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.18 has been installed almost every day (for the last month) since I upgraded to OS EL Capitan. Why should it be duplicated?

    mstee259 wrote:... Why is this...

Because something is wrong.  Unfortunately, with OS X being composed of hundreds of thousands of files, you can not tell exactly what.

To try to correct the problem, to completely reinstall your OS Mac El Capitan using stored on your Mac OS X Recovery boot disk recovery system.   It will take a few minutes, but he's going to reinstall a new copy of the El Cap OS with all latest updates.

  • Camera RAW updates support?

I just got the new Sony A6300, which seems to be not supported by Apple Camera RAW. How long Apple usually takes to add new cameras? Is there a regular cadence?

RAW compatibility updates are released irregularly, but usually a few of them each year.  Take a look at the downloads page and compare the dates of updates: Apple - Support - downloads

  • Supported the new cameras RAW formats after the update?

Our trusted list of RAW formats supported by the opening has not been updated for some time: http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html

None of the devices in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.17 for El Capitan are on the list of compatibility to Aperture.

I am pleased to say, that my new Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ300 RAW format works well in opening 3.6 on MacOS X 10.11.3 El Capitan nevertheless.

I would like to hear if other cameras for the latest Digital Camera RAW Compatibility updates also work well in opening 3.6, despite being not shown is not in the list of the opening, but work as part of the El Capitan: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

  • 5 d mark II raw (CR2) file is different from the 5 d CR2 file? Adobe Camera Raw error on mk II No 5 d

I use the plugin Photoshop Camera Raw (Adobe) to preprocess the colors, and then complete the prepare image in Photoshop.  Never a problem with opening files CR2, usually from my own camera 5 d.  But a customer sent a few files CR2 which opens not (error says this is bad kind of document).  So far no explanation nor patches from users of Photoshop... thought I would ask experts to Canon.  Why file CR2 from the 5 d mk II fail but 5 d CR2 files all open ok?

Still using Photoshop CS2 and the plugin Camera Raw is 3.7 v.  I really want to continue this workflow (works for me), prefer not to experiment with dpp or other opportunities.  Not ready to move yet to Photoshop CS6.

No, CR2 (and all files camera RAW manufacturer) are modified somewhat for pretty much every version of the camera.  Similarly, manufacturers of software like adobe are always updated their software for the new models.  Your version of Adobe Camera Raw is extremely old, so that it can not read the 5 d 2 files.  And Adobe limited backward compatibility, so I don't know if you can load a sufficiently recent version to recognize the 5 d 2 files.  If you can't, then you're only choice would be to use the Adobe DNG Converter, convert batch files to DNG, the 5 d 2 then read those.

  • DOWNLOAD 7DII and camera raw

Had my 7DII in hand for about 10 days. Everything was fine until tonight. I down loaded the culture of days using Canon EOS utility, all as I have been all along. However when I tried to open the raw Photo 12 store it does not, even when I tried CS6. Pop - up told me that I didn't have the soft ware good camera raw. Never forget that I have been downloading Raw images for some time and that you have downloaded the raw images from this camera for almost two weeks. So. I installed the most recent dates. I am now able to open raw files in CS6 but continues to receive the same popup when using 12 PS.

Good gun, is a camera problem or what?

    Tinwhistle

12 Photoshop is better known under the name of CS5. He has an older version which, with its old version of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), will not support a newer camera model such as the 7DII.

Or maybe you mean Photoshop ELEMENTS 12... which is more recent than the CS5, but still

also, has been replaced and uses an older version of ACR that does not support 7DII and never will be.

The CS6 update was the right thing to do. In fact, the update to ACR was what was needed. He is now able to handle the RAW files of 7DII. If I remember correctly it is ACR 9.1. I think that it is also compatible with the even more recent Canon DSLR: 5 d/5 d-R and T6i/T6s.

But who will probably be the last Canon that will be supported CS6 DSLR and it's related ACR version. Adobe has announced that it will be the last update of ACR for CS6 (and 6 Lightroom). They are abandoning support for the independent, licensed products.

The next update, ACR 9.1.1, works with Photoshop CC, cloud, subscription version of PS (and LR CC). So you don't have to rent the software and pay monthly if you want to continue using PS in the future, with as-yet the new camera models.

Something else you could have done, and we can do in the future is converted RAW CR2 files in files our camera Adobe DNG, which are another form of RAW file. Adobe DNG Converter is free to download, to do this. And DNG is backwards compatible with older versions of Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom.

If all this seems rather monopoly on part... Although Adobe is.

I expect once they have done away with the stand-alone versions of PS and LR, they start ratcheting the price on the CC versions. It is a priced now at $10 per month (which happens to work near what I tended to spend on upgrades independent of the PS and LR over the years). Who knows when the price will begin to move upward or by how much. But I guess they will be. After all, when they first announced CC of Photoshop, Adobe offered a "discount Introduction" to current holders of $30 a month, for PS CC alone. I guess that it didn't sell very well because they have passed the following year, gradually reduce the price where we are now... CC PS And LR CC grouped for $10 per month.

However, I take that initial 30 $par month as an indication of what Adobe thinks their products are worth and want to charge a CC PS in the not-too-distant future. So, personally, after 20 years using PS (starting with Version 4) and LR since shortly after the first version was introduced, I explore my alterantives.

PS You should really use EOS Utility to upload your files. You can simply use Windows Explorer to create destination folders, and then open the memory card, select all the files and the drag/move/copy the hard disk. (Similar can be done on a Mac, if that's what you use.) It takes less time to do it is to write about it here!
