  • Toshiba Camileo x 400 record button does not work!

    Hi there guys!

    I recently bought the camera Toshiba Camileo x 400, unboxed it, took the lens, screen cover and the insulating battery then cap it charged. After that she had loaded it, I inserted the SD (16 GB SanDisk 'Ultra' 30 Mbps) and went to shoot some test videos.
    Aaaaand disappointment.

    The record button (mentioned in the manual as the "video" button) does nothing. I tried pressing it hard, I tried pressing down lightly and... Well, there is not that much more, that you can try. Anyway, I went back and looked through the manual, but it doesn't really have a very good troubleshooting section.

    After a few minutes, I thought I'd give the remote a whirl - and guess what?
    The record button on the remote control worked! The pause button of the camera works too, but for the record, I have to use the remote control. So, what's the problem?

    Should I take it back and replace it?
    Just to clarify, the camera was on the default settings.

    Thank you for the answers!

    Hello

    In my opinion, you should visit your dealer and should try another new.
    The record button should work fine, and I think it could be a mechanical problem because the buttons on the remote are working properly.

    Hello

    Many users think that the pre-installed tools are not necessary: it's fake
    Laptops are not desktop PC. Many portable computers of new generation supports additional features, which must be controlled by software!

    -VAP (value added package), utility of flash media Cards are needed to control the FN keys.
    -Toshiba recovery disc creator is necessary to create the own recovery disk!
    -Toshiba eco utility control the energy consumption of the laptop and helps you extend the battery work!
    -Facial recognition Toshiba is necessary to get the face recognition to work... This feature allows windows to connect with the image of the face

    - and so on...

    As you see it s not bloatware, but really important means of course if you don t want to use these functions for portable computer, you can remove this

    Hello

    I have an interesting link for you: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0, 1697,2151341,00.asp
    The site describes how to speed up Windows Vista boot procedure which includes the deletion/maintenance of the list of start-up tools mentioned you´ve.

    This site, download the bootmanager mentioned VistaBootPro and remove all the unnecessary entries in your startup list. You can also use Tuneup 2008 which is commercial and that costs a few dollars (but not the world) but it s certainly worthy.

  • Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop

    original title: Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop - HELP!

    Hello, I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista.  Yesterday it froze completely upward and I had to manually close (hold the power button until stop you him) twice.  The second time when I tried to restart the came Toshiba screen, then the screen with the little scroll down bar, and then it went black, waited for a while, then flashes a bluescreen with a written up VERY quickly and cycles back to the Toshiba screen.  This time after the scroll bar it gives me white saying the writing system could not restart, and I want to start normally or startup repair. If I restart it through loading files, trying to fix it and said then he wasn't able to fix it and when I look at the details there something on a registry error.

    I really need to solve this problem quickly and desperately want to save all my files if possible because it's our main Mobile family that has all our digital photos on it and they are not saved. (I know, terrible of us).  Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Charity

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
  • Webcam on Satellite U500-17 x only shows black photo
    Hello
    I bought a portable 17 U500 x about a month ago. I'm on Win7 64 bit version that came with the pc.
    The webcam worked perfectly in the early days. Then I didn t use it for awhile and now it only shows black picture on webcam of Toshiba, msn or Skype software, all have the same problem.
    I didn't change any setting of the device. they have all of the default settings. The blue led on the side of the camera turns on but only a black screen.
    If I use the software Toshiba cam and try to take a picture it says "failed to capture the photo.
    On "Device Manager", the tab for imaging devices shows usb 2.0 uvc webcam without error and with the updated drivers. I get no error at startup or when opening the cam applications.
    I got drivers win7 European Toshiba webcam website "20091112111752" and them again after uninstalling the cam Toshiba Software I had installed. Also reinstalled the device of face recognition.
    The problem persists...
    Any idea?
    Best regards
    Hi Costa
    It is not easy to say what the problem is here. All that you have done is just but I think it's time for a more radical, but also more effective solution (test). Reinstall the operating system and test the features of cam with the factory settings.
    It should work again. If it's not... maybe service?
  • Camileo S20 - do not use SD card, internal memory of only
    Anyone could be useful...
    I have a S20 Camileo and you have inserted a HCSD class 6 8 GB card.
    However, it is only using the internal memory (about 50 MB) and will not recognize the SD card.
    In the settings there is a choice of "Format"... I chose 'YES '. This does not alleviate the problem.
    I also have a Canon T1i with HD video movies. The card has worked wonderfully in this camera is not a card problem. Unless it must be formatted to the Canon and reformatted for the Toshiba. I'm a novice at this.
    Is there something I'm missing? It seems that it should recognize the card or receive a framework to use the card.
    Thank you for your help.
    JTW
    Hi mate,
    I had a similar problem with my cam Toshiba Camileo one of my SD cards didn t work with this camera. I bought a new card SHDC of high quality of SanDisk and after that, it was possible to use the additional SDHC card.
    Check this box!
    I think that not all cards are compatible with all devices
    Hello
    I don't know about you, but maybe it has something to do with the order of poor facilities. The order of good facilities for this Satellite model is as follows:
    WINDOWS XP HOME SP2
    ATi Display Driver V8.401 - m 070815-052613C
    CardBus Controll Driver Memory Stick 6.0.1.10 Reader /Card
    TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility
    TOSHIBA Touchpad POWER utility
    TOSHIBA utilities
    Have you started the installation of all the stuff in this order? I have no experience with the Realtek drivers, but maybe it's important to install everything in order.
  • Qosmio G55-q802 - facial recognition problem
    Since I got my laptop facial recognition program will not work. He comes up with an error and says device camera initialization failed. The camera is used by another application or it is not recognized by the system. Camera Toshiba utility works. I've even tried to install the latest drivers on the web. I saw a post on a yahoo site that said disable cec_main in the Task Manager, but this program does not work yet.
    I tried to call tech support, which was totally unnecessary. They have me call back and ask for level II. Does anyone else know this same feeling of frustration? Other than this issue, this laptop is impeccable!
  • Satellite A500 - it gets stuck one second after the BIOS update
    I knew I shouldn't update BIOS unless I have problems. A message came Toshiba Bulletin Board and I was stupid enough to trust him and I have updated my BIOS. The update has been successful, my computer seems to work very well.
    Except, now when I try to watch a movie, I downloaded every 10 seconds or if it gets stuck for a second and then plays normally and it happens when I play music on itunes. Because I didn't have this problem before, I'm not accusing the update. Is there a way I can go back or how can I return to normal?
    Oh God, what have I done? :(
    You can try to update a sound/display drivers on the [page driver Toshiba | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp] Bios update should not cause a problem like yours, but who knows... (You can also try to load the default settings in the Bios)
    Updated version of itunes and try how movies on VLC and Kmplayer
  • Re: Satellite A200 - 10 error code in the Device Manager on webcam
    I had some difficulty trying to get my webcam on my laptop working again.
    Tried to install a new update but it would not work because of some error - 10 of the Code.
    I tried to uinstall using camera Toshiba as well and re installed and that would not work due to some files of corona that she did not.
    Please help me really want this camera to start working again!
    Thank you
    Hey Buddy,
    What of your OS (operating system)?
    No info on this subject? ... Why?
    In your case, I'll try this:
    Remove the old webcam driver and reboot the laptop.
    Run CCleaner to clean the registry and Windows
    Stop and try again
    Install the latest driver from the Toshiba page.
    Hello world.
    A few days now, I have a problem with the device above because it cannot recognize a few times on cd or dvd. The light stays on and any action either. A few times it will start immediately. I want to change it and put a dvd - rw instead of dvd cd - rw. I tried with another camera, Toshiba dvd - rw, but the laptop was frozen and only when I put the old one the laptop started. Any body have a Board?
    Thank you very much.
    George
    Hi George
    First of all can you please tell us which laptop model you have? It is very important to know that each player will not correctly work with each laptop model. There is unfortunately no public document where you can see what car model is enough to use this device. The partners know and try to contact them for advice.
    I put t know how old is your unit but you can try to clean the lens.
  • AVI files - no video, only sound problem
    Hello!
    I'm affected by some very strange and _very_ annoying problems with my Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 software - my. AVI files have no video.
    I recorded a lot of video for a remake of the video on my camera: Toshiba Camileo X 100 HD (720p60frames).
    I the play well in Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player and others, but when I import into first, I get only audio - video NO.
    I've been searching around the Internet for a solution - but found - it really gets on my nerve as I look forward to edit my video .
    The solution that would work, was Super (a conversion program) to download and convert my AVI files into MP4, h.264/AVC with AAC LC codec, but it will take years, and I'm also having difficulties in finding good quality video as the original file - ergo, I don't want to lose quality when converting. Convert all my files will take years - got about 10 GB - and I only see this as an emergency solution.
    I bet that there MUST be a fix for this, and my AVI files may work correctly for Adobe CS5 first. I need help - please help!
    Thanks in advance!
    p.s. I'll just say that I work with files before AVI, another project, but these cases recorded with FRAPS on my computer.
    There must be another solution!
    There are; transcoding is a waste of time, space and quality:
    1. Download and install VLC.
    2. In the folder containing your AVI files, create a new text document, called "avi2mp4.bat" (without the quotes). Be sure he has the. BAT extension. you need to remove the. TXT extension, which is added by default.
    3. Paste the following text in the command file, and then save it:
      @ECHO OFF
      for %%a in (*.avi) do "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc" -I dummy "%%a" --sout=#:file{dst="%%~na".mp4} vlc://quit
    4. To run the package, simply double-click, or you can drag and drop the AVI files on it, and they will be repackaged as MP4s with the same name as the original. If you use the approach drag / move, you can save this file anywhere on your hard drive, and all the files dropped on it will be converted and placed in the same folder as the original.
    That's all. The MP4s properly is important in the first, and you will no transcoding.
