  • Moving video files from digital camera, date taken does not save

On Win7 Pro I'm having a problem where when I move the files from my digital camera Canon or my Sony digital camcorder to HDD the date taken on the videos aren't save. It defines at the time I moved the hard disk instead. It comes to all the dates in the properties.

It's only when I copy the video files keep everything file photo.

This happens when I copy files directly from the camera or the SD card

All the files on the camera are correct but none of those on the hard drive.

Ok. I had trouble to transfer photos from my old computer to my new computer.  The dates and times on the pictures changed.

I finally got the moved and kept the correct dates on each photo.

    That's what I did:

    1. I opened the 'Pictures' folder on the old computer and click on "Select all" under the tab 'Edit' at the top.

    2. then I went to the "Edit" tab and choose "move to folder".

    3. in the next window, called '' Elements to move, '' I found the file that I wanted to move the photos to and selected this folder and then clicked on "move".

    4. all photos have been transferred to the new computer with the date and time correct.

    5. However, this deletes all photos from the old computer.  But I do not really need them on the old computer since I will be recycling with Dell.

We sincerely hope that this information helps someone else, since I had a hard time finding how to do this task.

    Good luck.

  • Toshiba Camileo H30 problem with conversion of avchd video files

    Hello

I have Toshiba Camileo H30-camera, how do I convert video files saved in FullHD mode in any format/good quality files that can be read by a DVD player?

When you left unconverted, they can't even read from the remote hard drive connected to the TV.
I know that his camera records videos in the form of AVCHD files with h264, but have no idea how can I covert them to any format reasonable and recently used.

I tried some converters, but no positive effect.

    Help, please!

    Hello

You can use converter like AVCHD Converter applications.
This would convert AVCHD files to .avi format.

But AFAIK the VLC Player should support the AVCHD file format and you could use VLC player to play movies recorded in this format.

  • How to convert video file MTS of Cyber shot (220) in MP4 file?

Your camera may have an option in settings to save the video in MP4 format. Alternatively, if you buy Sony's Movie Studio, you can modify and make the video in different formats.

  • HD video files appearing "glitch" in iMovie 11

I recently bought a camera that shoots in AVCHD and pulled a bunch of images at 60 fps. I downloaded a converter to convert these images to MOV, so I can edit in iMovie (I have iMovie 11, version 9.0.9). However, once I'd loaded video files in iMovie, it appeared "glitch" in the playback window. I exported a test video of some of these images to see if it was just a problem of reading in iMovie or if my problem was with the imported files, and the problem is still present after export: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kjuafecBHs

Here is some info to files on one of the. MOV files after conversion (these files are fine and play smoothly without the 'glitches'), if necessary:

    Format:

    Apple Intermediate Codec, 1920 x 1080

    PCM signed 16 bit little-endian whole, 48000 Hz, stereo, linear (L, R)

    FPS:

    59.94

    Data size:

    187.2 MB

    Data rate:

    199.88 Mbps

    Current size:

    968 x 545

I guess I have that did not convert to the right format for iMovie - any thoughts on what would be a better format? Any opinion, advice or links how - to solve this problem would be much appreciated!

Resolved to myself! Thought I would update the post, in case someone else runs into this problem:

I have advanced and converted my files to M4V format (another format iMovie accepts) and the "glitchiness" had disappeared during the import.

No idea why, but I'll take it.

  • How can HDR-AS100V - I associate video files with GPS without PlayMemories House data?

    • How PlayMemories calculates the speed without having the GPS-log information? and also how correct without going through the Altitude in the GPS-log? Does this mean that the Altitude is stored somewhere else?

Yes, it seems fair to extract still images from the camera will keep the GPS coordinates. This assumes, of course, Traore, the GPS is locked on the satellite. It may take a few seconds to several minutes to reach the lock, so the first photos that you take may not be labeled. I assume that you run an interval picture-taking.

I and others have posted here and in other forums that the GPS coordinates are not very accurate. They may, or may not, be specific to a single shot, but you can't rely on the accuracy of the coordinates. This also applies to the video shot with the AS-100v and AS - 30V. Results on the ground of myself (USA) and a user in Germany confirm that GPS coordinates are not nearly as accurate as it should.

Here's a comparison side by side (images of Google Earth with Garmin vs AS-30V tracks), and it is an analysis using time tag data (again, Garmin vs Sony AS-30V).

  • The Vixia HF G30 allows a direct copy of video files from an SD card on an external USB hard disk

I am considering buying a G30 and need to know if she will allow a direct copy of video files from an SD card on an external USB hard drive.  The manual is not clear on this point.

Not to my knowledge (I own a G30 HF).  There is no present on-the-go USB functionality.

Personally, I do not miss such a feature, because it causes all kinds of compatibility problems, especially with regard to the power of external USB hard drives. In addition, without any file manager, backup of your video files into a nightmare. I must admit that I am rather Cannon after not on an often incomplete function development budget and have it spent instead on the main features of the camera, such as optics. Of course, this is just my very subjective opinion, and other HF G30 clients may have different opinions on this.

In order to back up my video files on the fly and without having to carry a laptop, I recently bought a made by Hanso Hyperdrive colorspace UDMA2 and installed a 1 TB in her drive. When on the ground and after having taken my shots I just pop in my inside SD cards and the device of copies on the video files to 17Mbyte per second. At home, I plug in the UDMA2 in my Linux video workstation using a regular USB cable and pull the video from the mobile disk. The UDMA2 also did incremental backups and comes with a basic file manager. While it has a color screen, it can't play back video. It is a video and photo backup dedicated device, nothing more. But it does a decent job on exactly that.
