  I've been a happy user of heading 4 but Cap 4 does not work on my new Win7 machine.

  I upgraded to 5 Cap on a Win7 with 8 GB RAM machine to record demos of software for YouTube. I record the use of the software on a virtual computer by using remote desktop. The screen resolution was put in full screen. After finishing the recording, I resize the Captivate project up to 800 x 600 and post on YouTube such as F4V.

  I tried to increase the resolution. Captivate will not do not produce output F4V past a certain range, so I posted the video as SWF and then used SoTHink converter to create AVI. The result is clear but no sound.   I've been playing with different combinations of resolution using 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio. I need 16:9 for YouTube but Captivate doesn't seem to like it for the release of F4V, forcing me to use SoThink converter, which is where I lose sound.

  What are my options? I have 15 of these videos due in the coming weeks.

• Data sheet says Camileo P10 save as .mov but the device saves as AVI.

  I just rec'd a P10 as a gift for Christmas.

  Looking at the specifications on the data sheet in line and also that the sources say that the P10 records video in .mov files but the unit I can only save as in the form of .avi files. However the box itself says that it records jpg images and video as avi (H.264)

  And I had to search the Internet for a long time to find a safe codec file CoreAAC Audio (FF) to allow Windows Media Player read the AVI with sound.

  The .mov is an abbreviation of Quicktime. QuickTime is a multimedia technology from Apple.
  The .avi format is defined by Microsoft. AVI is the format most common for audio/video data on the PC it is Microsoft's answer to Apple's QuickTime technology.

  AVI is a very powerful architecture and newer codecs like DivX or XviD can have a quality similar or even better than DVD, AVI files.

  The said user manual supported file formats are Jpg for pics and MOV videos.
  It is strange why the P10 recorded in .avi...
  However, it is avi and mov supports the same properties.

  Well, until the elders of the tribe eat you raw for suggesting that you edit videos in Ae (consider that a fair warning - they can be very critical) let me tell you that Ae is not intended for editing videos. There is no real-time playback, each piece has its own layer and the complicated timeline editing tools without complex as NLE offers and other reasons (a tutorial in the end of this post). It's a bad way of working. unless you have animations completely for 5 minutes or an hour. There isn't any reason you should have such a long composition. even in this case, you need to be very smart to this subject and files prérendus to meet your deadlines. what I'm saying is this: make your composition, Visual effects, motion graphics effects, and do your editing in an NLE as first.

  If it was a minute with some cuts on the video, I would say - any, you can work from home Ae as I prefer native when I can. But if we talk about 5 minutes or more - use the first for the edition and place your Ae composition melted at first - that is the right way to work.

  Open the browser > Menu key > options > scroll down to clear the browser cache.

  You have HD camcorder recording format? I ask this question because Camileo P10 also allows to record QVGA resolution, and it looks like an old VHS of resolution.

  Also on the computer, right click on a video file of Camileo P10 and select Properties. Then choose the Details tab and check the width of the frame (for example 1280) and the height of the frame (for example, 720).
  It would be a resolution HD and FHD resolution is 1920 x 1080.

  Try this. The two parties should be removed/disconnected.
  Leave the camcorder for some time (a few hours). Press and hold button power 30 sec long. After this plug in the battery and charger.

• Satellite C660D webcam very poor quality

  I bought my laptop 2 weeks ago and have only begun to use my webcam today.

  I put t know which model of laptop you have, but Satellite C660D has generally not HD cam but 0.3 M Pixcel camera only. And with this cam, you can't expect excellent image.

  There is nothing you can do. If the cam is installed properly, you can just try change the settings of the cam in the hope that the image will be a little better.
  When I compare 0, 3 m pixcel cam on old L300 and now 1.0 M (HD) Pxcel camera into my new P500 the difference is simply huge.

  Newbie-Pr but experienced pro audio digital. I am confused and I know I am missing just something somewhere.

  I made a video for one of my songs. The graphics are quite (in AE), imported Pr and everything what is superb. I import the final audio mix and it sounds very poor quality when played the chronology and the final output, regardless of the format (I tried several presets and custom as well settings). I played a bit and noticed that the audio sounds fine when played in the Source window inside the Prime Minister.

  The session of Pr is comrised of 18 video tracks (not all playing at the same time, of course) and a stereo audio track.

  I tried to re - export audio from logic to depths of different bits, sampling frequencies and formats of file (mp3, wav, AAC, etc.) but the results are the same each time: Source (Pr) sounds very good, logic output sounds very well made / reading of the timeline looks very bad quality mp3 and produces final sounds just as bad.

  I tried everything I can think of. I hope one of you can show me what I'm missing.

  I lived the same results, no matter what I used the export settings. In addition, the poor quality of the sound was present in the timeline itself, without even exporting the project.

  Finally, I lifted my hands, has launched a completely new project, the same audio file in drugs... sounded good. Copied / pasted the video clips in the project original, broken and boom, everything is fixed. Yes, corrupted file Pr, it turns out. All I had to do was start a new project and import all the old components.

  I have the same problem, where the Camileo P10 does not seem to recharge. Only works when the power cord is connected.

  I also have problems with the 8 GB SDHC card that I have bourght with the Camileo P10. When you try to format the card SDHC the hourglass never disappears. The memory card works fine in my laptop and my Canon G7 digi camera.

  Any suggestions?
