  Why do you want to update the BIOS if you only install Windows XP?

  It s not dependent on the BIOS, it s according to the drivers you need for Windows XP. Maybe some Windows 2000 drivers will work, but you need to test yourself. Otherwise, you will need to collect external websites XP drivers.

  By the way: Windows 2000 is also an option? It starts as fast and stable as XP, but so you can get the drivers from Toshiba directly.
