Can I change the language of the interface of Firefox?

Hi, I'm not able to find a way to change the language of the interface of Firefox. Is it possible to change the language that Firefox interface/GUI appears.

Is to download and install Firefox with the language, the only solution?

This is the preferred solution.

If you need to switch between different languages,

  1. Install the language pack for the language that you want.

  2. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
  3. To ignore the warning, press the big button "I'll be careful, I promise!
  4. In the search box, paste intl.locale.matchOS
  5. In the search results, if intl.locale.matchOS is set to true, double-click them on it to set its value to false.
  6. In the search box, paste general.useragent.locale
  7. In the search results, double-click general.useragent.locale and set its value to the desired language.
  8. Restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

If you need pass language frequently, you can get an add-on as Simple local Switcher.

    Hello

    I work in a company that has Labview software in German language. I am an English speaking person and I've learned to use labview in English so I would like to know if it is possible to change the language from German to English.

    If there is no option, it is possible to have the English and German versions legally installed under the same license on a single workstation?

    Best regards, Mikolaj Glinski

    The license is not related to only one language, so that you can install the English version without worries.

  • How can I change the interface of the scale on a higher resolution screen?

    I have a screen of 2560 x 1440 and I love the space that I get with the interface of adobe cc but now the scaling on adobe cc 2014 is bigger to match at 1920 x 1080, which doesn't bother me, if only it were an option. I would like to change back to the regular scale that was. Firefox does also and I want an option to bring it down.

    Then found out that this a problem with some of the other applications in the 2014 adobe cc bundle. Release with support and took a while to get them to the top. But now the problem is solved. I don't know if this is probably not a problem with the mac. But in windows 7, here are the steps:

    -Click on 'my computer' and got to properties.

    -Then go to "Advanced Control Panel.

    -Under the "Advanced" tab click "Environment Variables".

    -Then create a 'New' variable under "System variables".

    -In the "Variable name, type"UI_SCALE_FACTOR"

    -In the "value of the Variable' type '1'.

    -Click ok twice, and then restart the computer.

    Now this work for me, but I do not know if it works for everyone. I'm sorry for users who do not know the in's and out of windows. But then again not many people have a 2560 x 1440 pixel screen. Yay for 4K right?

    #1: When I try to print the selection page in Firefox on my Mac, it prints the selection where it appears on the page.

    Yes, this can be inconvenient in some cases. One solution is to remove the other content on the page and then print the selected content normally (instead of using selection). To remove the content, you can use this extension:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/Nuke-anything-enhanced/

    As shown in the screenshots on the page, right-click on the selection and choose delete everything else.

    #2: In the menu printing, there is a section of frames that is shaded by the selection of "as defined on the screen. How can I change this setting?

    If frames section is dimmed, which indicates that Firefox did not detect frames on the page. Most sites use no frames, although many use iframes (inline frames). If you need to simply print the contents of an iframe, try right-clicking on the framed area and use

    is it possible to adjust the way the orange menu firefox behaves when you click an option?
    currently hovering on an option opens the list below (for example, a list of bookmarks for favorite option, or a list of pages visited for the historical option) and clicking it opens the first item in the list.
    I would like to change this so that the list is opened when you click an option, since it is not possible to hover using a touch screen.
    It's quite annoying when the management of bookmarks screen opens if all I want to do is bookmark the current page (which is not possible in this form)

    The orange button Firefox will be gone in Firefox 28 or 29, in releasing the Australis of redesign of the User Interface.

    There are other ways to save a new bookmark. A double click on the star to the address bar does not work on a touchscreen device?

  • [SOLVED] How can I change the colors on Firefox 'about' page?

    I would like to change the background color of the pages 'on' #EFEFEF or a named color if this code can be used and, if possible, the police of color as well. The white background is my main goal.

    I am hopeful that the color (s) can be changed using the userChrome.css file.

    I was unable to find an answer to the specific question or any source providing a list of element and attribute names.

    I'm using Firefox 20.0.1 on a Linux system.

    About pages are you referring?

    You will probably have to each of them individually through code style in userContent.css.

    @-moz-document url(about:blank){
     * { background-color: #EFEFEF; }
    }

    @-moz-document url(about:config){
     * { font-size: 11pt !important; }
     #configTreeBody { background-color:#f0f0f0; }
    }

  • How can I change the bookmarks in Firefox 9.0.1

    When I upgraded to version 9.0.1, Firefox converted my favorites and suggested a number of them to the low "Unsorted Bookmarks". At present, the only way to bring them back on the list and get an alphabetical sort them, it is move one at a time, which is unacceptable. Who has never been a standard feature in Firefox. Now, either the add-on that adds this functionality to your Firefox is disabled, or is not compatible with Firefox 30. Take a look at your extensions to see what you have installed and if it is disabled. If this isn't the case, right-click this extension and use find updates. If it still does not use the read... button and look for the home page (not all extensions use this functionality provided by Mozilla) and see if there's information support or an e-mail address to contact the developer of this extension. It belongs to every developer add-on to refresh their stuff and support their stuff. Most add-on developers do a good job in this regard, but some only provide the module further without support and slower to update as needed.
