  I have a problem with Muse, it works well to slowly when I design my site. I have a macbook pro, enough new good spec but with my Muse file which has only 80 pages I get the beachball. I want to do is perhaps to create a few different files with the same master desinged separating the site but all related to the same domain. I don't really mind that menus will not work because I'm just using the menu as links to different pages, so technically I could just use a hyperlink to 'other sites' instead of a link.

  I'm using Business Catalyst as hosting provider, do you know how can I add multiple files from Muse to the same domain on Business Catalyst? Has anyone tried this and had a bit of luck? Is it still possible?

  As long as you pay attention to the "index.html" file and have the same page in all the files of your Muse so when you publish content will get pushed in BC and are similar to what is there, you should be fine.

  file 1 - has the index.html (homepage) and the ' about us' page

  file 2 - has the index.html (similar to that of 1st file homepage) and the "contact us" page

  file 3 - has the index.html (identical to the file 1st and 2nd home page) and "How it works" page

  Every time you press one of these files BC the index will continue to seek the same because on pages with the same name is not replaced, the other pages will just stay there as they are at the moment of the publish. You should pay some attention to the CSS files also.

  Alternatively, you can ignore the creation of the homepage even, export your files locally and manually post BC via sFTP your HTML, CSS, JS, etc files.

• Is it possible post a link to outside FLV files using a button?

  I have a project with a two pages with the buttons to access the 30 + technical videos (FLV files). When I publish it (as a .exe) and click on the buttons, there is no answer. I swear it worked in the past. The action of buttons is to open a URL or file, the URL specifies the external FLV file and the FLV files is stored in the same folder as the .exe project... If it works?

  Is there a better way to do it?

  I have test incorporating the FLV files in the project, and it works (using forward mentioned buttons to access the appropriate video page), however, it increases the size of the project beyond what is desirable .exe...

  I'm sure that the FLV file is not supported by any type of player as a standalone video. I could never get a FLV to work unless it was embedded. The only video formats link unpacking worked constantly for me were .swf and .mp4.

  It depends on what you mean by "a file" - iTunes will allow you:

  • Join the tracks that you import a CD, for example, to combine multiple items on a CD, they are represented as a song in the iTunes library
  • Group of titles in albums by properly defining the metadata tags of values in the Album, the artist (or Album artist)
  • Create playlists that you can add songs / albums from the same artist to
  • Create smart playlists that will automatically contain all the songs by one or several artists (or any other membership rule that you define).

  More details on what you are trying to achieve will determine which of these functions is appropriate for your needs.

  I tried to unzip the files, I have downloaded from the Web site by using the context menu "extract all... "on the file.  I have a Board error saying that the compressed (zipped) folder is empty.  If I try a double click on the file, I get the message that the zip file is not valid.  This has happened to every zip file I tried to unpack so far.  The only files I can unpack so far are those I zipped myself using the context menu "send to folder of Compssed of-->" of Windows Vista.  Any suggestions?

  What is the problem with a book file?

  In any case, just open the two documents, go to the preliminary pages document, open the Pages Panel and use the menu triangle (drop down menu) and select Move Pages. Then you can move (or copy) all the pages of your preliminary pages the document to your main document and specify where they should land.

  I use Windows Movie Maker c. 5.1. (Build 2600) on a computer running Windows XP Professional 2002, SP 3. I try to publish a movie file which is a revised version of a WMV file. In other words, the original file is a file WMV is 534 MB.  I am editing the film by dividing and by deleting scenes, adding transitions and titles.  I am able to save the file (for a WMM file) but impossible to publish the movie.  I checked that (i) the files are in the correct location, (ii) the file does not exceed the limit of 4 GB, (iii) the destination does not exist (I tried everything from my desktop to video files).  I tried every possible resolution and the file type.

  I would change the software of movie at this point if I had not invested so much energy and time behind this project.  Help, please!

  You get an error message when you try to publish?  If so, what is it?

  One thing you might try is breaking your video into 3 or 4 smaller sections and see if they work / will be published separately.
