Can I configure Mac OS Yosemite or Lightroom so when a card is detected Lightroom opens?

In earlier versions of Mac OS, I got hurt to find a way to set up so that when the camera card is detected, Lightroom opens.  So I had to turn on LR and then put the card in the reader.

I have not loaded iPhoto, but when I plug in a card and LR is not lit, Image Capture automatically opens.  I can't find any place for IC preferences that allows me to turn off sound automatically open up when a card is inserted.  When I click on 'Preferences of services/service' in IC, it opens to the Mac, preferences system/keyboard/shortcuts/which shows shortcuts "images".  Deselecting some or all these shortcuts does nothing. And Capture of Image help is almost devoid of content.

In LR CC, I find its place in the preferences to make LR the default application to open when a card is detected.  And "services/services preferences" in LR leads them same shortcuts mentioned above.

What Miss me?

This time I got lucky on the good discussion of Apple and the answer to:

Disable the Image Capture app | Apple support communities

Apparently, the first time that a new camera or card is inserted, Image Capture opens.  You can then use this obscure way to change Mac OS instructions so that this camera or card, Lightroom will open instead.  I just tried - and it worked.

DdeGannes thank you for your efforts.
